5.5 Gallon Large Glass Storage Jar with Lid, 21000ml, 1 Pack

This glass is thick and the lid seals very well. I love the size of this jar. I'm getting away from plastic anything as food storage and while this is on the high side as far as price goes, it is worth it. I buy in bulk and this jar allows me to consolidate the food in greater volume. So far, sugar, flour, wheat berries, salt are the items that are stored in this jar and it takes up less space than multiple storage containers. I buy one every few months. Love them.

Very nice, large glass container. I love to bake and love having a great container to store my flour. It’s big, easily holds 25# of flour. Keeps it nice and clean.

If you are like me and go from zero to baking obsessed, these storage jars are for you. They are huge, but so easy to clean. I joined the sourdough life. It sucked me in. My sourdough starter, Agatha appreciates that these glass storage jars hold 5 bags of flour. They are BEASTS! She will be fed well for a long time. The design is perfect. The lid is airtight, making it safe to house flour, rice, beans, and more. Clear glass that is thick enough to keep in tact if, like me, you tend to me a bit clumsy. No, I did not "drop" the jar, per say. It "thunked" pretty good. I may have gasped. But the sturdy glass prevailed. We live to bake another loaf of sourdough! Five stars all the way. Love it so much, I bought a second jar.

I just got this glass jar with an airtight metal lid, and while I’m really happy with its functionality, I noticed a few issues right off the bat. The jar itself is great—it’s spacious and the transparent glass is perfect for easily seeing what’s inside. The airtight seal is a huge plus since it’ll help keep everything fresh, whether I use it for pasta, snacks, or coffee. However, as soon as I unpacked it, I saw some scratches on the metal lid, which was a bit disappointing. I was hoping for a sleek, polished look, but the scratches make it feel a little less new. On top of that, there are small patches of rust forming on parts of the lid, which is surprising for something I just got. It’s not enough to affect how the lid functions, but it does make me concerned about how it’ll hold up in the long run. Despite these cosmetic flaws, the jar still serves its purpose really well, and the airtight seal works as expected. I’ll definitely use it, but I was hoping for a better presentation, especially for a brand-new item. Hopefully, the rust won’t spread, but it’s something I’ll keep an eye on.

I ordered two of these. One to keep cat food and the other to waterglass duck eggs. The glass is thick and it was extremely well packed. I knew what I was getting with the lids because I looked at all the other reviews. The ring to seal the lid is stiff plastic and I'm not sure how well it works as a seal. I might modify the lids myself but they are okay as they are, that's just me being finicky. They aren't as aesthetically pleasing as the containers but they are functional. For an extremely large glass container I am beyond happy with this purchase and I love the way they look in my kitchen.

I am a baker and bought these jars to store flour, sugar and dried goods. I buy in bulk and needed something large. I bought 2, to see how much they would hold, I thought they were perfect, so I ordered 2 more, by the time the second order was delivered, the rivets that hold the center of the lid together came loose, on one of the lids, and it is no longer air tight, which lets moisture, from the air, it could let bugs, dust or anything into my dry goods. It was past the date I could return the jar, but I think I will be returning the last 2 I bought, which is unfortunate because they are the perfect size and I planned on ordering several more. The glass is thick, they are nice jars, but for the price, I guess you need to decide if you want to take a chance with the lids.

I was looking for a glass storage container for pet food. We all know that we shouldn’t store our pet food in plastic because the fats become rancid and break down the plastic but their doesn’t seem to be a product marketed for pets. So I thought what do preppies use to store items for long periods and I found this. It looked perfect and matched the other jars I use for storage I thought. The image made the lid look black I thought. It arrived packaged very nicely and very secure. I removed from packaging and begin scrubbing. The bottom of the jar outside had rust spots around the ridges that took and hour of soaking to remove. There are still several spots I couldn’t get off. But the lid is my problem. It looks old has someone’s fingerprints stained in it and dark spots and smudges that don’t come off. I had already destroyed the box removing so couldn’t return. At an $80 price point I’d expect item to be clean and look presentable. Would not purchase again.

My wife loves these large jars to store wheat berries in. We got rid of the 5 gal plastic containers and these are a great replacement. The top comes with a ring around it to keep everything air tight. It's so easy to get a scoop into the large mouth. They come extremely well packed and a bonus for us, we kept the foam packing bottoms on the bottom of the jars since we keep them on the floor of the pantry, it keeps us from accidentally kicking them when we walk in. Highly recommend! Just wish they came in different sizes!

Great jar, i used as a fish tank
