Urban Dezire Leather Duffel Travel Gym Overnight Weekend Leather Bag Sports Cabin

The bag has just been delivered and on time. I am impressed with it out of the box, but it has not been trip tested yet. I think both the leather and craftsmanship are fine, even better than expected. The first thing I did after removing if from packaging was to silicone spray the entire bag twice to assure waterproofing. I expect years of service from this attractive and substantial weekender bag.

My former carryon bag (Kluge) was great but after several years, the handle broke. I was disappointed that all I could find was a smaller version. I am very please with the Urban Dezire Leather bag; it is as large as possible for a legal carryon bag, is quite roomy, attractive and should last a lifetime!

Love the size, love the leather. I sis not want a liner because they tear after awhile. I sprinkled essential oil on a cotton ball and dropped it inside. Did it every day for one week and it doesn’t smell any longer! I bought this and a 23” duffle. The compact trolley I have fits nicely into either bag.

I was super curious about this bag when I saw it, so I wanted to leave a detailed review for anyone on the fence. Two things upfront: 1) Yes, you'll need to wash it with Dove or saddle soap as soon as you get it and then add a leather conditioner. It is covered in vegetable oil for the trip from India, which is fine for keeping the leather soft, but not what you want long term. 2) The color matching isn't perfect, you may want to order a couple and keep the best matched one. Other thoughts: First off, the bag looks great. The green canvas lining looks so nice against the brown. The bag is big, 19" L x 10.5" W x 10.5" H, front pocket adds another 1". Construction is way sturdier than I expected (sturdy stitches, solid brass rivets, sturdy brass hardware) with the exception of the main zipper. The zipper is made with cheap plastic teeth, and I'm guessing it will break long before the rest of the bag gets torn. Not sure it's a big issue, since the bag has the lid as well. There are no protective rivets on the bottom of the bag, so you would want to be careful not to set it on the ground. Final thoughts: I am looking for an overnight bag that will fit under an airplane seat, this may be just slightly too big. I'm divided on keeping bag, on one hand I love the look, on the other it's not what I need and it has those concerns mentioned above. If I do keep it, I'll update this post with how it wears over time.

Seem to be great bags for the price. They look closer to the second pic when recieved as far as color. Not so faded but a good look still. Seem to be well built. Bought 3 for myself and my sons and think they'll be great for carry-on. I'd recommend thus far for sure but have yet to travel with them.

I like the bag. It's heavy duty, just the right size for my use. I like the fold over top which is handy when using on the motorcycle. Some people do not like the smell.....I like the smell of leather products and expect it to smell that way. It's not even a strong smell. All the buckles are good and stout. The coloring is great. The only problem I have with the bag is that if you want to use the handle instead of the shoulder strap....its off center onthe top as you can see in the photo. To be fair I even latched the side latches on the very last hole (tightest ) so that it would pull the top farther towards the middle. That's the way it is in the picture. So when you carry it by the handle it hangs tilted. I will change to 5 stars if the vendor replaces with a correct bag or discounts this one.

I would rate the quality of this bag is excellent for the cost, definitely what I was looking for. The leather does have an interesting odor but hopefully will go away after you air dry. 5 star quality and thickness.

Some past reviewers complained about the smell. Yes, I smell it too. It's called "leather". It goes away after a bit. It's so cool. I'm traveling in Asia this summer but didn't want to lug around a suitcase. It's the perfect size! Everything fits and then all I have to do is stow it above me in the overhead compartment. And I look a little like Indiana Jones!
