Delicious Cinnamon
Great tasting and the best cinnamon to use. This is a large quantity so it will last! It's not over powering in taste like fake cinnamon. It's great for daily use and is a great holistic, healthy cinnamon. The texture is the same as any powdered cinnamon. Open it up and use it with a scoop or pour it in another container. The bag is resealable. I feel the quality is great.

The cinnamon that you want.
I am not a doctor or a nutritionist, but from what I have read, the Ceylon cinnamon is the cinnamon that you want. "They" say that cinnamon can lower your blood glucose reaction. Ceylon type is hard or impossible to find in the local grocery store, from my experience. This is the type that is more beneficial with no toxicity concerns, from what I understand. This brand is organic to boot! I was very happy to find this cinnamon at a very reasonable price. The taste is great, and it is very powdery, just what I want. I have filled my spice rack sized bottle with this cinnamon for easy, daily use. I cook with it , and add it to my morning yogurt, and sprinkle it on top of cinnamon raisin bread.

It Tastes Good, And Yes It Is Real Ceylon.
I looove cinnamon. But my wife saw it was unhealthy to eat too much regular cinnamon (which I do, I put it in everything) so she wanted to try different brands of Ceylon since it's supposed to be healthier. I see some reviews that state it tastes terrible. You know, we all have a different palette, I hate chocolate, that doesn't mean chocolate is bad. Does this brand compare favorably to others? Yes. I have no idea why some people are saying this isn't the 'real stuff.' If it wasn't they would get nailed for false labels and false advertising by the USDA, which certified this item. Just because others don't like the taste doesn't mean a nationally known company is screwing people and stealing from them. That said, I did a taste test with this, another competitor that costs a little more and regular cinnamon. It tasted a lot like Frontier Co-op, and did not taste like regular cinnamon. Why did it not taste exactly like Frontier? For the same reason all wines (even harvested from the same place) do not all taste the same - soil differences, refinement process, time in transit, variations in water or filters or equipment, who knows, I'm no food production scientist and most likely, neither are you. But I like its taste, love it, to be fair. I won't ever buy regular cinnamon again. Yes, it's the real thing, yes it tastes very, very good. No it does not taste exactly like every other brand out there. No that does not mean it's a fake product and part of some conspiracy to poison your cinnamon or add it to airplanes for chem-trails or some nonsense. Give it a try, if it's not for you, try Frontier or something else. Personally, I loved it, and so have 90% of the other people who reviewed it.

This is CASSIA NOT Ceylon Cinnamon :(
I have REAL ceylon cinnamon and put it side by side with the one I got yesterday from Terrasoul claiming to be Ceylon (See picture). You can see in there that the one from Terrasoul is reddish while the true Ceylon is a nice tan brown. Also the smell is strong and chemical like unlike the true Ceylon. The taste is pungent not sweet like the true Ceylon is. Here some information on how to differentiate the two kinds of cinnamon from Sri Lanka Export Development Board: "Ceylon Cinnamon comes from a plant called ‘Cinnamomum Zeylanicum blume’ which is indigenous to Sri Lanka. A key difference between the two is found in the taste. Cassia Cinnamon tastes stronger and hotter while Ceylon Cinnamon is full of lighter, brighter citreous tones. When it comes to colour, Ceylon Cinnamon is tan brown whereas Cassia Cinnamon takes some reddish dark brown. As far as the texture or the feel is concerned, Ceylon Cinnamon is thin and papery and forms multiple layers when rolled up. In contrast, Cassia Cinnamon has a rougher thick bark which forms just a few layers when rolled up. Fragility is another noticeable feature in Ceylon Cinnamon whereas Cassia Cinnamon is pretty tough to grind. Going a little further on the taste factor, Ceylon Cinnamon is delicate, sweet with nuanced notes of clove and makes an excellent flavor profile for pastries, cakes and desserts whereas Cassia Cinnamon is pungent and suited for braised Chinese meat recipes. Traditionally, Ceylon Cinnamon is mainly exported to Europe while Cassia Cinnamon is mostly consumed in the USA & Asia. In the view of the experts, ingestion of large amount of coumarin or consumption of coumarin over a prolonged period of time **can cause serious health problems and a negative impact on the liver and kidney**. Significantly, the amount of coumarin containing in Cassia Cinnamon far outweighs what’s containing in Ceylon Cinnamon. According to Germany's Federal Institute for Risk Assessment, an average adult consuming more than 2 grams of Cassia Cinnamon a day is at risk of side effects. it’s much safer to consume Ceylon Cinnamon. (I consume large amounts of Ceylon, so I can't consume the one from Terrasoul, which is by color, taste and smell obviously Cassia). It’s also believed that Ceylon Cinnamon could help lower blood sugar a little, but it’s strong enough for the diabetic patients to stop their medication." I am disappointed in Terrasoul, I have bought other products from them and it is the first time they sell me something that is not what is supposed to be.
