Here's my opinion and rating after using these non stop for about a year now Audio quality - 5/5 The audio quality on these headphones are phenomenal. Straight out of the box they sounded excellent, and provide a great neutral-feeling sound signature without boosting the lows or highs too much. Comfort - 5/5 The headphones fit very nicely and have rarely caused strain on my ears. The headband and foam around the ears are very soft. I have worn these for 5-6 hours at a time and have not noticed discomfort Build - 5/5 I've seen some people complaining about the build quality for the price, but I personally don't see their reasoning at all. The headset is made of lightweight plastic, but it doesn't take away from the premium feel and look. I love the fabric on top of the headband, and the version I have of these with the black-copper color scheme looks very fancy. Noise cancellation and transparency mode - 4/5 The ANC is nothing notable, but it is far from bad. I have brought it on planes and had no issue with the noise levels. Transparency mode also works great. Battery life and charging - 5/5 The battery life on this is insane. I can go about 2 weeks with constant use before I need to charge. They advertise something like 60 hours of battery life, and even while using ANC the headset delivers. Connectivity - 4.5/5 The reason I rated this a 4 is because I have had some issues with my headset connecting to my devices. Every so often my headset audio will cut out every couple of minutes for about a second. It's not a big issue, as it eventually remedies itself or I can just power my headset on and off to stop it, but it was worth noting. Other than that, connection is pretty smooth. I do like how my headset switches automatically between my phone and computer to whatever device is playing audio at the time. Extra features - 5/5 The app feels well-integrated with the headset, and it provides many options to customize your listening experience. I changed the touch control inputs on the side of the headset to feel more intuitive, as well as turning off some features I personally found annoying like the on-ear detection. The EQ also allows me to create my own sound signatures, and as a result I usually have the lows boosted. Other notable things - I haven't had many issues with the touch controls, and although I probably would prefer buttons, this works just fine. The headset does have quite a large footprint when packing, so I wouldn't recommend them for travel unless you have space. Putting it around my neck feels a bit awkward compared to previous headsets I've owned, but maybe thats just me. These work great for gaming, low latency I'm just a regular user, not an audiophile. I mainly use these for listening to music and gaming Overall review - 5/5 (If you have the money for it) You'll have to sell your left kidney for these, but it's worth it for people who use headphones every day, all the time. There isn't a part of this headset that is not good, and it excels at being a comfortable pair of premium headphones.

Before buying these, you gotta know some things. First, if you listen to earbuds a lot, over-ear headphones sound different. The sound is less directly in your ear, and more around you. As such, there is less impact. That doesn't mean these aren't good, they're just not shoved into your ear. Second, the source makes or breaks these. A crappy source will sound crappy on these and you'll end up blaming the headphones. It's actually a feature of the headphones though. They reproduce what you put into them very well. Go into Spotify and mess with the EQ there if you feel the need. I like sharp treble and got it that way. Change the stream setting to highest quality. Plug them into a good digital to analog converter (DAC). Try different sources and you'll see whatever you may not be liking is not the headphones. As an acoustic guitarist, I was hoping for the same sound I get with my Martin on my lap. I'd love to have headphones that sound like Tony Rice and Dave Grisman are standing on either side of me, but that's not gonna happen. Again, the source matters. These headphones are not a hand-built American acoustic guitar played by a master standing next to you, but they'll sound more like it than the majority of headphones. Third, we've become programmed to in-your-face sound. These Momentum 4 are very much "grown-up" headphones. They articulate. They detail. The present. But they don't floor you with over-the-top sound all through the range. There are plenty of good, inexpensive headphones and earbuds that will pop your eardrums. I personally recommend Anker for that. My Space A40 earbuds are awesome, but when I A/B tested the A40 and these Momentum 4, I realized there were instruments I didn't even realize were there when listening with the A40 earbuds. Fourth, the bluetooth is dumb at first. From what I can tell, they won't work like you'd expect until you launch the app as part of the connection process. It's fine though. Just don't give up on them right off the bat because of that. Other random thoughts - they're super UNcomfortable right away, become very comfortable rather quickly - like within minutes. Also, good headphones do have a break-in period, and these are no exception. Be sure to try the wired connection on some different sources as well. MacBooks have good DACs in them. Anker makes a good USB-C to aux adapter with a DAC in it. The bluetooth connection can sound pretty dang good though. And the microphones in this headset are almost creepy-good. Also, bluetooth range is perfectly fine. I went three rooms away in my house with no issues at all. Summary - I was thinking of returning these, but I know Sennheiser so I messed with settings and connections and I'm glad I did. They're great headphones, but the key is to remember - if your source is crap, they will faithfully reproduce that crap.

I'm borderline obsessed with Sennheiser, and gave these headphones an honest try; I really wanted to like them, but until they fix the firmware, I couldn't recommend these to anyone. Tested on multiple devices, all of which are up to date. To future-proof my review (because I won't remember to edit my review once the firmware problems have been addressed), I rated these 4 stars based on the assumption that there will be a future fix to the firmware problems. If taking the firmware into account, I think I'd rate these 2 stars (as of 8/31/2022). Pros: These headphones have quality sound, probably on par with the price point. Not significantly better than my PXC 550-II's, but they do have a bit more depth and bass. Their noise cancellation is good, but not as good as my Bose QC35’s, which is to be expected. The battery life is incredible. I don't think I'm getting 60 hours (volume kept at around 20-40%), but they're still awesome. Cons: These are nowhere near as comfortable as my Sennheiser PXC 550-II headphones. They put more pressure on my ears/temples, and the headband is way firmer. My head is aching after about 30 minutes of use. There are significant firmware issues (my firmware is up to date, as of 8/31/22): When using the auto power off mode, they turn on (and sync to your phone) any time they’re moved. This will of course silence your phone’s alerts, as they’re playing over the headphones that you didn’t mean to turn on. When using the on-head detection, they keep turning on and off while they're sitting around my neck. Whenever I answer my phone (iPhone 12 Pro Max) and change the output to these headphones it just hangs up the phone. Haven't tried answering using the headphone's touch controls, it's possible that would work. While the transparency mode is a nice feature, it's almost laughable compared to my AirPod Pro's and Sony WF-1000XM4's. It sounds just barely better than wearing non-noise cancelling headphones. These can connect to 2 devices at a time, but when switching between paired (and connected) devices (for example: listening to audio on my tablet, when I get a text alert on my phone, which interrupts tablet audio for a second, before switching back to tablet again), and whenever I answer my phone, as mentioned above, audio quits playing over my headphones. My phone says it's still connected, but it doesn't show up as an output in any apps. I have to reconnect it to my phone to get it working again. Whenever I pair them with a new device, it disconnects from existing connected devices. I have to reconnect afterward. As much as I want to like these headphones, until Sennheiser fixes these software issues, it's just not worth the hassle.

After having these headphones for the past year, I have to say that these are definitely 5/5 headphones. I'm not sure what some of the complaints are about, but I think some folks with the lesser reviews must have gotten faulty devices, because the only time I've ever had a connectivity issue was when I mistakenly had both my speakers and my headphones connected. As a matter of fact, I've actually found myself more annoyed by them automatically turning on and connecting when I had literally just turned them off to put them away. There's something about the "on-ear" function that senses when you're wearing them. When the ear muffs go face down in the case, the headphones will sometimes think that they're being put on your head. If you're doing it in a fluid manner, they won't turn back on, but if you turn them off, set them down, and then put them away shortly after, they'll probably turn on. I believe the noise cancellation is solid. When I don't have any music playing and just have the noise cancellation active I can't hear much at all. Normal conversation is definitely out of the realm of possibility. If someone's talking to you and you're not looking straight at them, you wouldn't know it. You can hear some of the louder traffic that passes by if you're walking down the street, but if you have your music on you're not very likely to hear anything but larger/louder vehicles. I would say sound over 80 dB and you can start to hear things through the noise cancellation. I've used these for casual gaming on my PS5. You have to connect the headphones directly into the controller, but I'm pretty sure that's just a Sony thing so that you'll buy their PS5-specific headphones. Anybody I've played with has never complained about not being able to hear me and anyone I've asked says I come through clearly. I asked people specifically to know if they would work well with games as well as music, and I think they're great for both. There is good spatial sound. In video games you can hear things like directional footsteps and know whether someone is in front of you, coming around a corner, or behind you. With music you'll hear background sounds that the recording picked up or different notes or instruments that you've never heard before in songs you've heard a hundred times. Now, let me be very clear here: these are not $1,000+ "audiophile" hardwired, gold plated, top-of-line headphones for top-quality production. I'm just a regular consumer who loves to listen to good music, with great volume, bass, and body. For all practical purposes, these are absolutely fantastic. The size of the headphones is reasonable. Not too big, not too small. I've seen some complaints about the ear cups being too small, which from one standpoint I understand. On the other hand, they're actually really comfortable. The material is soft, the headband is comfortable, they're adjustable, and for me, they've never been too tight. They were maybe a bit tight for the first week or so I had them, but nothing memorable or headache inducing. The material on the ear cups, while comfortable and soft, does make me wonder when, not if, the material starts to break down. If you sweat, prepare for your ears to get hot and sweat. The material isn't absorbent at all, so you don't have to worry about your headphones getting soggy, but sweat will definitely build up on the cups and it can become a little uncomfortable if you're walking in a bit of heat. On the same note of not being too tight on your head, they're also not terribly heavy. I think they weigh a bit more than the old school Beats - when they were still owned by Dre - but I can say they're far, far superior to the Beats. You can feel it and you can hear it. The case they come in is solid and compact - as compact as it can get for headphones that don't fold in half. It fits in my backpack just fine and it definitely won't get crushed unless you're really trying to damage the case. It would take a full body fall and the case's first thing to give way would be the zipper. Even then, there's not a wide enough range for the case to entirely break down and crush the headphones. I believe that if you slipped on ice, for example, and fell straight on them, they would survive. I compared these to the XM5's and I think these have a deeper bass. I think the soundstage/spatial sound is more in depth with the XM5's, but you most likely wouldn't be able to tell unless you've got a very keen ear or you're directly comparing them side by side. I have no idea why these are currently priced at $450. A year ago I spent around $300 for them. It was a great deal then, and I would probably spend $400 again if I ever needed to replace them. If I do look to get "nicer" headphones, Sennheiser will definitely be a brand I'll look for first. The software for Sennheiser is not that great, but it's been improving since I got the headphones. You can adjust noise cancellation, wind cancellation, highs, mids, lows, bass, etc. You can adjust your functionality, such as how your touch controls function on the outside of your headphones - swiping up will turn the volume up, tapping it will pause the music and so on. You can answer or decline calls with it, but I just do that on my phone to not accidentally pick up a phone call I don't want. If you have your own settings and you've got them turned up beyond what they reasonably can do, you'll sometimes get a skip in one of the speakers. Mine just so happens to occur in the left ear, but once I corrected my settings it stopped happening. I do wish the volume could be turned up another notch, but I'm pretty sure if they were to go any louder then they would cause real hearing damage after about 20-30 minutes. I listen to my music loud and have had no worries about hearing damage, which I've been paying for as time goes on, but if you adhere to realistic settings then you will be just fine. If you start to go over on your setting boosts in certain categories, you'll hear it start to get a little muddy or tinny depending on the setting. If you hear either of those, even a little bit, change your settings. The first firmware update took 10 or 15 minutes and your phone screen has to stay on during the download and installation otherwise it will cut out for some reason. So plug in your phone and make sure you have your screen on and the app open for the duration otherwise it gets interrupted. It took me a couple tries to realize that. For anybody looking for headphones in the sub <$500 range, these are almost perfect. Mine get regular use, the battery is just insane, the sound quality is solid and comes through in a consistent manner. You can tell when a song has been recorded or produced on a lesser scale than some others. They can really make certain artists/songs/producers stand out more than others. They also play every genre of music well. If you think of a sound system, a 12" sub will have a slower reaction time than a 10" sub, for example, so if your hip hop sounds better on a 12" and your tighter bass sounds come through a bit better on a 10" sub, these headphones feel to be right down the middle. I say "feel" and not "sound" because if you've ever had a sound system in your car then you know the vibrations you get from that strong, amplified bass through your subs. You can almost replicate that feeling with good headphones and these don't weigh heavily one way or the other.

I had the most annoying week+ of trying to make this BEAUTIFUL headset work. I really wanted these to work. But you can only try soo many Reddit fixes before you're beyond pissed off and completely over it. First: I couldn't hear the trial music they play on the app when you first set up your sound profile. It was silent. Removing and re-downloading the app didn't help. I disconnected the headset from everything, reset my phone, and tried 4-5 more times before I got anything to play. When it played, it was too quiet to change anything meaningfully. Second: This headset gives you 6 options in your sound section to choose from, which is annoying. Some are named the exact same and do absolutely nothing when chosen. The most annoying part was the only option that provides side tone will give you the worst quality sound you've heard since your 90s Walkman- - paired with that tiny round headset you found at goodwill or in your garage. To use this headset with side tone and have decent sound, you have to disconnect the mic in your computer settings all together and use another mic that will provide you side tone Now you need more gear or a mixer to connect your headset to your mic. The whole ass point of this headset was to game with friends, or be able to answer phone calls while being productive around the house. It's hard for me to function socially when I don't have side tone. That's on me but...come on. This was an expensive purchase. It should be able to do both... like my $80 Corsairs do easily. Forget hearing footsteps. If you're on discord using the headset's mic, your sound quality doesn't allow for differentiation between spells in an ARPG.. or footsteps in a pvp game. You cannot use the headset for talking and receive quality sound. I wouldn't even say quality. They are simply unusable. Thirdly: Speaking of my Corsairs, they were LOUD at volume 30. I've probably never gone over 50 on those. With this set, I had to be on 95-100 to get where my previous headset would've sat at 20. What. I could NOT get any volume out of these and I tried enough things to make you hush. - -you, who is saying I did something wrong or skipped a step. No. Nope. I did it all and it was over a week of futzing, alll the trial and error before I finally sent them back. Which was sad because I've lusted after Sennheiser for ages. Even when I was finally able to adjust my sound profile in the app, I couldn't get them to be loud enough with clear sound to function. I opted for my air pods over these and if you've ever done that on your gaming computer, air pods sound like you're inside a dumpster 40 ft away. I preferred this to the Sennheisers. Sad. Reason four: They dropped all Bluetooth connections 10+ times a day. My house is 745sq ft so even if I was walking around my house and not sitting at the desk with my phone/computer next to me, they should have worked for most of the home. At the very least, I should have been able to go 10ft away from devices. Nope. They didn't stay connected even directly next to devices-- for reasons I couldn't figure out. So forget about any movement. No trip to the fridge 8 feet away between matches. I was stupidly willing to look past this part because, like I mentioned above, I was lusting after these for a while before finally shelling out the dough. If I could just tap the Bluetooth button to quickly reconnect devices, I would have suffered with my snazzy Sennheisers. But when this happened, I'd have to restart my phone, restart/reconnect the headset, and reconnect phone Bluetooth. I even had to redownload the app to be able to connect two separate times. For the computer, I'd have to go through the process of finding/connecting the device after resetting, and then selecting the proper option in the drop-down sound options on my computer which changed places and was super annoying. This took way too long, especially if I was on a call or in game. Having to tab out of a game to go through that.. sometimes every hour... was maddening and I def lost a lot of matches and did a few desk-slams. Eff that. Five: In addition to costing a lot of money and being absolutely useless for my purposes (or any purpose), this headset also had unreliable manual touch options on the side. They only functioned half the time. Joy. Six: I reached out to Sennheiser for assistance and advice on day one. It was possible I simply needed a replacement after scouring their FAQ on the website. They returned my enquiry 28 days after I sent them a request. This was almost 3 weeks AFTER I had returned them. And this wasn't during the holidays. 28 days later and with a bunch of garbage. An unhelpful reply that had nothing to do with the issue I had selected in their drop down options. Like. Not even remotely helpful. Did they read the ticket? There's no way. Maybe I had a faulty pair? Who knows but I think probably not because I found a shocking amount of people that had the exact same issues. These should have been recalled but enough people will stubbornly make them work and the company still makes money off those who don't return them in the end, either from laziness or denial or an abundance of money so they don't need to make the effort :P 1 star for aesthetics/battery life. I did not have to charge them once- out of the box- and I did a lot of troubleshooting in that time. They are comfy, yes, but I now have a cheaper pair of Logitecs that are comfier with an equivalent battery life. I gave up on the multi-device idea and went with the Logitec Pro x 2 with LIGHTSPEED These were plug and play. No BS. Comfy, sharp looking, work AMAZING with discord and whatever else I've connected them to. I'll stick with swapping out my headset for my airpods for phonecalls for now because we just aren't reliably there yet, it seems.

I wanted a pretty nice set of bluetooth over the ear noise canceling headphones. I specifically waited for Black Friday so I could get a nice discount. I bought four different sets of headphones that were in my budget to try them all. I kept these sennheiser momentum 4 over the other ones. I returned the other three which were the Sony 1000 XM5, the Bose QuietComfort ultra and the Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2e. All of these had a similar price when not on sale. I was quite surprised that I kept the Sennheiser. I really thought I'd be keeping the Bowers and Wilkins based on some of the reviews I've watched. For the type of music I listen to and the ways I will be using these headphones these were just the best. The app is solid and has lots of nice options and allows for the kind of customization I was looking for. The fit is perfect for me. Although so were the Bowers & Wilkins. But the sennheiser's battery life and sound profile along with the nice noise canceling, not the best noise canceling but really good, are what won it over for me. A real 60 hours of battery life is just incredible. That means the average person probably wouldn't have to charge these but once a month! They also came with a really nice case that's slim and easy to throw in a backpack or bag. I'm not sure why other people have issues with the touch controls, they work perfect for me. And the sound quality for the type of music I listen to which is mostly 80s and '90s metal is phenomenal for Bluetooth headphones. I have a few sets of really nice wired headphones and IEM's and these are quite surprising how good they are. A friend of mine has the bose and I've let him try these. He understands why I pick these over the bose now that he's heard them. The cherry on top for these headphones though is that they are phenomenal when you're making phone calls. It doesn't matter how loud or windy the environment is that you're making your call in, the person on the other end has no idea as it's as clear as it ever could be when using Bluetooth. I am really amazed how well they work in this regard. Bluetooth headphones are very subjective when trying to tell someone what is recommended. And if I wouldn't have tried these four I would not have believed how much of a difference there is in the sound profile, comfort, apps, and noise canceling. If you're going to spend some decent money on a set of headphones I really recommend buying a few sets or at least going to a store where you can try them first. I know that's hard to do as most places don't let you try before you buy, so that's why I bought all four and returned the three I did not choose. I've used them with my Hiby DAP, my pixel smartphone and my Lenovo tablet as well as my Sony TV. All of them work fantastic and the connection was quick and easy. I like the fact that I can set up different sound profiles in the app based on what I'm using the headphones for. I have one for podcasts which makes voices sound clear and precise. I have another for movies with the extra bass turned on for the impact of movie soundtrackcs and the punch for explosions and such. I also have another for my favorite kind of music and I have one for watching YouTube videos. I'm not trying to convince anyone to buy these, I'm just telling you my experience with the forehead phones I purchased and why I chose these. Everyone is different, so what's best for me is not necessarily what's best for you.

(Updated bottom) I want to start by saying I'm glad I went with Sennheiser despite the bugs early on & so on. I have yet to experience any issues with the exception of my dedicated BT transmitter I use for the TV but that happens with every pair or BT headphones I have so it's not a Sennheiser momentum problem. Keep it to one or two sources & only play one at a time my transmitter would create popping sounds when its connected to that & my phone both playing audio. The transmitter is the Avantre BT transmitter. Wanted to get that out of the way I'm also on the latest version of Android 15 & updated the headphones so I'm having smooth sailing & oh man I'm a audio snob but these can satisfy me. The bass is nice not like Sony were everything else sound muffled & you can control the EQ to your liking. For me I turned the bass down the -3.0 doing so gets these bad boys close to the Harmon curve. My only gripe are the mids but reducing bass helps a lot. The bass hits hard but never bloats like bears or Sony headphones will. Highs are crisp almost too much for me but theyre nice. Mids are there & can be improved as mentioned above. The fit of these feels like a glove & I will say they're big head approved I have a 24 1/2 size head & these are comfy if not a bit toasty after a while. Volume controls are nice & will work well once you learn not to over input. Bluetooth works well haven't had issues say for my transmitter mentioned above. Money wise I'd agree for the money especially on sell they're a steal & a good value. My final thoughts I will absolutely be keeping these along with my B&O & HD600 headphones. That & the app actually works where as B&Os app is straight up grabage. Well done Sennheiser. While I still love these the sound is really nice but the earpads get hot & sweaty. The material is bad it gets every bit of sweat or face grease in them & they're a pain to it off. Again they sound great & are very comfortable as I like the higher clamping force but man the earpads are a pain they aren't peeling or anything just something to keep in mind. For a bit more context it's like the PU leather with greese & no I'm not a filthy person I shower & take care of myself but this is a lot of its more noticeable on these. I got some interference here & there but turning of my BT transmitter for my TV fixed that as I was listening to music on my phone. The case could be a bit bigger you have to fight them a little to get them on the case safely. With they sold larger options so I could keep my headphones a bit extended & not have to resize each time & there's not click or numbers present on the headband to get them sized right easily. I solved this by having a place on my closet shelf for them to lay safely out of their case. These updates are just me largely nitpicking but I thought it would be nice to share these as you might also experience them. Regardless I'm keeping them they to good & the plastic seems of higher quality then most use.

These were very good headphones when they worked correctly. Noise cancelling was good in the environment I was in, only having issues with wind noise (ex.fans). These were bought on sale for around 240 USD. Ear pads were a little on the warmer side but acceptable for long periods (4hrs). It might've been my head size, but these were the first pair of headphones where the handband didn't extend out enough to give me a comfortable listening experience. So after a couple hours, you would feel where they were on your head and the fit "feel" was very snug. Battery life was the best out of any ANC headphones I've owned only needing to be charged every 3 or so days. Sound quality was pretty good but only with the BTD700 adapter. With its regular bluetooth connection, I would get random cutouts/ static noise making the headphones feel cheap. Ultimately, what made me return these headphones was the connection problem. For some reason unknown to me, it would connect and I would get no audio with or without the adapter. I cut my losses short and returned these within the 30-day time frame. Overall, these are great headphones, but they have some QC issues.

Sound-wise, a definite cut above the norm which is extremely important for headphones of this price bracket. Clarity, bass extension, neutral sound, frequency extension, etc. ... all good. Sound-wise, up there with the best. The technical wizardry is also commendable and mostly works well but, note, there is a learning curve which can be frustrating! The only gripe I have (&, this could be my mistake in some way) is that the functionality when first booting up these phones does not activate on its own; one needs to dig into the mobile app one has downloaded onto one's phone to get all the functionality working. Still scratching my head about this, but, not a train smash at the end of the day. App functionality is very good: not too "teccie" driven (which irks me, viz., too much arcane functionality) and the sound configuration plus other aspects to good user performance is great. Note, tho', one HAS to spend some time getting to understand this functionality. Overall, these 'phones are well worth buying re. sound quality in all the right ways. That alone is a plus for me. If you wish for a more simple experience with your phones, then, it's best to look elsewhere. But, these are really great phones and worth looking into.

Sempre tive vontade de ter um fone sennheiser original, e este importado da china (afinal todos são fabricados lá na asia) é original e a meu ver perfeito! O isolamento de ruidos é satisfatorio, não preciso de muito. Seu audio é maravilhoso, e usando o app de androide tem diversas equalizações, mas eu deixei em NEUTRAL, pra mim foi a que mais agradou! Fui assistir o filme TRON em 4k audio 5.1 no pc e no celular pelo app do stremio e realmente a qualidade é fenomenal! Audio: Cristalino, e olha que ja tive fone samsung buds e esse é melhor. Bateria: JOGO bastante no CELULAR (bluetooth) e ouço videos no COMPUTADOR e realmente o fone dura as 60h, mesmo com o cancelamento de ruidos ativo. Sua espuma é macia e não aperta demais, nao doi a cabeça, não cai da cabeça mesmo se abaixando pra pegar algo. Qualidade: é plastico, mas de excelente qualidade, e tem tecido na alça do fone, agradável.
