Then I Met You Soothing Tea Cleansing Gel is the best!! I use it alone or with the cleansing balm. My skin is so soft after using it. The cleanser is fabulous, and it moisturizes your skin beautifully. I wake up in the morning and my skin feels so soft and clean. My daughter spends thousands of dollars on face products. I bought her the cleansing balm and the tea cleansing gel, and she found them to be the best products she has ever used.

Wonderful daily water based cleanser. I would suggest an oil based cleanser then follow with this water based cleanser.

I bought this because I saw it was on sale and "soothing" is literally in the product name. I use tretinoin with little issue but I still like to be careful and make sure I buy anything that balances out the dryness and peeling that comes with it. I used it for a week no problem although the smell is absolutely horrendous. It smells like a medicinal alcoholic drink of some sort. Then I traveled to visit a friend and my skin was the worst I've ever seen it. It was red, chapped, and felt like it was on fire. Anything I put on my skin felt like it was burning. I coincidentally started using a Jergens cream cleanser her mom had given me thinking my skin barrier just needed a rest from tretinoin. Well this morning I wake up with my skin irritated and an actual sore on my nose and it took me realizing this cleanser has been the only new thing I've used to finally figure out this was the problem the entire time! This is going in the trash please do not buy!!

I love the then i met you brand for their cleansing balm and had to try their face wash. it’s very lightweight and gel like. i find it very good for sensitive clean.

[UPDATE] So y’all….I bought this in February and now it’s ten months later and she’s finally emptied out! I’m shocked bc typically most of the other cleansers last for 3-4 months. I still stand by my Initial comment and it’s the perfect cleanser for me! But make sure to not open your mouth bc it’s def bitter. [ORIGINAL POST] I don’t know why people were complaining about the smell, as someone who has a sensitive nose, I really didn’t mind the scent! It just smells like tea. Also this has to be the first cleanser I’ve used that doesn’t dry out my skin. I live in an Area where the winters are DRY. And my skin feels evaporated, and this cleanser really helps! I’ve gone through a lot of cleansers and I’ll definitely will be sticking to this one. :)

This review is for Then I Met You Soothing Tea Cleansing Gel - Sulfate-Free + Hydrating Water Cleanser for Face with Fermented Rice Water + Green Tea - Vegan, Clean Skincare (3.38 fl oz) This cleanser was interesting. It is brown in color, is translucent, and is quite thick. The texture is kind of gooey. I'm not even sure how to describe it exactly. You don't need much to wash your face with. The only thing is it has a light medicinal scent that isn't really my cup of tea. It doesn't linger though so those that aren't too bothered by scents will not mind this. The only thing, is that it seemed to irritate a part of my face that was dried and flaky. I think this might not be for people that have sensitive skin. I can see people with oily skin using this. I am not sure it

At first I really did not like the texture and I felt that it was too harsh, but after using it for a while I learned to love it. The key is to use a small amount and evenly spread it on your face. It doesn’t foam very much so it’s great for my dry and sensitive skin but if you have oily skin its better to look for something else.
