The deal was cheaper than the grocery store. It is not only for cheap college budgets, but also for toddlers that are getting teeth and learning about textures. I just chop up the noodles into baby-bites for my grand baby. The salty-broth-taste hasn't changed........that can be a good thing......you know what you are getting. So that it won't boil over in the microwave, I put water in it and let it soak for an hour or so and then cook it for less time.

Good product. If you like ramen noodles, you'll enjoy this product. We bought this to have on-hand for a quick, hot lunch. It's so easy to make these cup-a-soups, yes, a little more expensive than the ramen noodles in a plastic wrap, but worth it, as these have little veggies too. We simply microwave about 8 ounces of tap water using a ceramic coffee cup until it's almost boiling, then pour the hot water over the noodles, right into the cup. The coffee mug dries instantly, and there's nothing to wash. Just stir the soup, and wait for it to cool, then enjoy. This would be great for kids in a college dorm, people on a tight budget, the elderly, etc. We'll buy it again.

I live in assisted living and sometimes there is nothing on the menu that I care for. I keep this soup on hand for those times. just minute to fix and I have hot soup and it tastes good too.
