During my move, I lost the little cap that sits on top of the harp stand to hold the lampshade in place. Could you tell me what size it is?

I'm not sure if this helps. The bottom is 3/4 " and top is 1/2" and the screw opening is 3/8".

I can’t figure out how to stop the shade from tilting. Is there supposed to be a part called “lampshade support”?

Is your Finial cap tight? The Finial cap should hold it in place, if it doesn’t try a different cap.

How secure is the height adjustment?

I have mine at 10" and it's completely sturdy. If you bump it there is some give but otherwise it's great.
