Great value, beautiful bike!
I read reviews and was not surprised by this bike. It is built solidly as I would expect from Schwinn and was not crazy hard to put together. I did have to adjust the derailer and it was simply a matter of turning 2 screws. Instructions are in the manual for everything you need to know and there is a customer support number provided as well. Ride quality was good. Seat is comfortable, though the seat is white so shows dirt easily. Brakes were noisy at first but after several rounds of not hard braking I was able to build up enough on the rims that they are quiet now. Gears shift easily after the easy adjustment. I purchased accessories including a basket for the front and it was easy to fit these as the design can accommodate a large basket in front. My bike did have some scuffing (can easily buff out) and a few minor dings. I plan on contacting Schwinn to see if they make a touch up kit like you would get for a car. This does not bother me as it was overall I'm good shape upon arrival. It does include wheel and front/rear reflectors which is something I wondered before I got it. Tires needed minor inflation so be prepared for that. I will update my review if anything changes, but I am happy with the Perla. The "blue" is definitely a mint/sea foam color which is my favorite. I recommend the bike!

Well worth the money and very well made...
Very nice bike. The wife loves it, the aqua color is beautiful and the paint looks to be of good quality. Assembly was fairly easy, if you are mechanically inclined. It shifts very smoothly and the breaks are very good also. The handle bars are very comfortable for older people who likes to sit up and not have to lean over to hold to it. The seat is very comfortable also, not so narrow and somewhat soft. The cons are, if you plan to carry the bike on a bike rack, be aware it is a steel bike and fairly heavy. I'm am a gentleman of age, and it's a little heavy to lift the bike and put on our carrier that is mounted to our camper. I was aware the bike is made of steel before I purchased, so I'm not complaining.

Nice bike but needs work
I got my wife the pink version for her birthday and she loves it. I read reviews where people complained about the gears not set up right or the breaks I will say this bike required a lot of adjustments to work. I was a bit surprised at this I bought this bike over others that cost half as much because of the name and expectation of quality. My biggest complaint is the wheels they are so far off being straight I had to adjust the front to keep the breaks from rubbing every rotation. And the back looks like it is so bent. It might have something to do with the packaging when I carried the box from my porch to the garage it literally fell out of the box. I was expecting a lot of rub damage and missing parts but to my surprise there wasn’t any.

My Beautiful Piece of Junk
This bike is literally a death trap. I've had several bike experts at different stores fix it, and I personally built it, and it keeps falling apart. It was poorly created and has been a beautiful disappointment in my life. The first time I jumped on it to ride it, a pedal snapped off and I had to replace it because the metal broke. The second time I jumped on, the bike seat fell off immediately. The third time I rode it, I found both tires were flat, despite not being flat the day before. The tires have been constantly going flat on me since I bought it, but they only go flat at random times. Please keep in mind, I weigh 130 pounds, so there is no reason for the air to disappear this fast. I constantly struggle to keep the real derailleur adjusted because it looses adjustment so fast. The fourth time I rode it in the cold weather and the damn handlebars kept falling, initially causing me to hit my face when the bars gave out. I have tightened the screw to keep the bars from falling, and asked many stronger people to do this, and nothing works. My biggest regret is that I didn't return it within the first 30 days. I kept telling myself that it would eventually be completely fixed, but this bike is haunted. Also, the thought of trying to return a bicycle to Amazon after building it seemed pretty daunting. During the few times I've been able to ride this bike without parts breaking, it is extremely uncomfortable and makes me regret getting on it. I've had nice mountain bikes before, and I fully regret going with this piece of junk. Please do yourself a favor and save up money to buy a nicer bike NOT on Amazon... This purchase makes me extremely upset every time I look at the bike.

Find a video to help with assembly
Although there were issues with the transaction, my bike finally arrived. Now that I’ve put it together and had a local shop tighten and check my work, I am sooo pleased with this bicycle. Sleek and comfortable. Smooth riding all around. I would suggest assembling using the manual alone that comes with it. And I could not find any video for this model specifically, and there really should be one. But after approx 9 hours, I finally had it put together. My wrists are not as strong as I thought and I was unable to tighten the seat and handlebars appropriately, but a local shop helped with that. The instructions for aligning the brakes were also apparently confusing. I had them perfect according to the shop that double checked my work for me, but not according to the instructions. So I guess I would also suggest getting a second opinion on your work after putting it together. And maybe have a professional deal with the brakes right from the get-go. And DO test drive in a highly secured area just in case the seat and handlebars come loose at the same time. Lol. Hey - everyone does know to do that, right? Overall I am THRILLED with the final product! Gotta go for a ride now 😊

comfortable but noisy
It squeaks something awful. I bought it to replace my Schwinn Admiral which I love, but is a hybrid with a raised bar the makes mounting and dismounting difficult. I took it to a local bicycle shop and they did what they could, but it still squeaks when applying the brakes. I took some very fine sandpaper to the brake pad and the tire to clear anything off, but that didn't work either. It's a good bike, but the squeaking is quite annoying. I'll probably have to get either the tires or the brake pads replaced. It wasn't particularly difficult to assemble. I bought a few tools recommended in the instructions but it turns out I don't need them.. It's a good bike (of course, it's a Schwinn!) but the noise is quite bothersome. It rides well and the seat is comfortable though not as comfortable as the one on the Admiral. Maybe I'll switch those seats out.

Beautiful bike
I love my beautiful pink bike! However, assembly is not for the faint of heart. Unless you are someone that is mechanically inclined; I would have a bike shop do it. There was definitely a lot of adjusting to get the brakes to work correctly and make them not super squeaky. Also, the back fender arrived slightly bent but did not affect the use of the bike. Overall, I love it and it is perfect for cruising around the neighborhood and the park.

Bent rim that made it through QC
Update 12/12/23 - Schwinn was excellent, they immediately jumped on the issues and replacement parts are already on the way! The bike seems to be pretty good quality, with great paint finish. I just unboxed (on 12/10/23) a schwinn that I bought for my wife as a Christmas present. We got it all assembled, and when we inflated the tires, the rear inner tube exploded. Oh well, stuff happens, went to Walmart and bought a new tube figuring that would be easier than waiting for one from Schwinn. After installing it we realized that the rim is badly bent and need to be replaced. There's no impact marks and the box wasn't damaged, it's just made wrong. I have reached out to Schwinn but unless they approve a replacement for the rear rim I'm stuck giving my wife an unrideable bike for Christmas.

Great bike
We paid to have the bike assembled, so did cost extra but it is a great bike. It is bigger than I anticipated, at 5'1 it's a bit tricky to get on and off. Rides great, seat and handle bars are comfortable. The pink colour was what we were looking. So far, great bike.

Merci

Terrible quality
My last purchase on Amazon was this bike. It's terrible, the quality is disgusting. The front wheel is crooked like 8. It is impossible to fix the steering wheel to be sure that it will not fall off along the way. A lot of money for such a cheap thing. I had to buy it at Walmart. I'm very sorry.
