It could be used in kids with height 45 inch?

Hi Melyce, this is adult vest and it will be too large for kids, you can choose a vest for kids here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0795Q2TCW

Is there a size guide

It is universal for adults, you can get the based information about sizes from the images. Thanks.

Will this work in big waves to provide confidence? I get that this is not a life vest, but I’m worried about undertow where I’m traveling.

It works fine when snorkel to keep you at the level for good snorkeling and get a great view. I would not us it as a life vest.

can this be used as a life jacket?

The purpose of this vest is to help you keep afloat when you're tired. It is not a life jacket but designed to save your life in any emergency. It would definitely help but may not be suitable in rough seas for instance. For snorkeling it's really helpful. Only need to blow the tube and then you float without any effort. That's what it's designed for!
