A budget version with high quality
A few months ago, a knucklehead ran a red light and wrecked into my car. My head impacted a window and I wound up going to the hospital for a CT scan, and a few months of fun therapy. My doctor gave me some help with a concussion that included this chart of when to take a *ton* of fish oil. It seemed to help. My head hurts more when I forget to take these, and I can tell the really cheap ones from the higher quality natural DHA ones. Some of that might be psychosomatic, but I really think this stuff helps a lot, and fish oil is part of my daily routine forever now. I am familiar with probably a dozen brands. This is one of the cheaper ones that seems high quality, and I really like it. The pills are a bit larger, there's no citrus flavor, they do produce that ugly taste, but they are just as good nutritionally and almost as good as pills costing double. To mitigate the one real downside, time when you take these to avoid upset stomach. I don't take these at the same time as another dense vitamin because fat absorbs most nutrients. Take these on their own, and try to drink something (I use coffee) about 15 minutes later. Chew some gum if you have a meeting. Otherwise, these are fantastic. For the money they are very high quality.

Working well for me.
I have been taking fish oil supplements for a long time and have tried many different brands over the years. These New Roots brand fish oil supplements are comparable to other brands I have used, and they are working out well for me. I really like that they are made from wild-caught fish as opposed to farmed fish. I also like the amount of "good stuff" these provide, but keep in mind the amounts listed are for the recommended serving size of two capsules, so to get 660 mg of EHA and 330 mg of DHA, you'll need to take two capsules, which means this bottle will last a month. These are large-ish gelatin capsules filled with lovely golden oil; if you've taken fish oil supplements before, you will recognize these as looking about the same as other brands. They are about the same size, too. They are easy to swallow and as long as I take them with water, juice or coffee and a little food, I do not experience any fishy burps. Overall I am pleased with these fish oil supplements, especially that they come from wild-caught fish.

No Fishy Aftertaste
Product: New Roots Herbal Wild Omega-3, 900mg, EPA 600mg DHA 330 mg (60 Softgels) This supplement contains EPA and DHA, which I expect in an Omega 3 supplement. The source is from wild caught sardine and anchovies. There aren’t any additives that I could see from the labeling. The big issue I have with Omega-3 supplements is the lovely fish oil taste (not!) coming back to visit you a while after taking them. I didn’t experience that problem with this supplement. I have also gotten fish oil supplements where the oil seemed to be rancid, by the smell of it in the bottle. This supplement didn’t seem rancid based on their smell. The size of the soft gels is what I expected for Omega-3, although they were a bit squatter (thicker and shorter). I didn’t have any trouble swallowing them, but my mother did have some problems. She has trouble swallowing any larger pill now though. This is a product of Canada, which I like. My bottle came properly labeled and sealed. The lid is not childproof. The expiration date was good for almost 2 years. I had no major complaints with this product, and it seems to be a fair good quality of Omega-3.

Potent fish oil from wild caught fish
ew Roots Wild Omega 3 contains 660mg of EPA and 330mg of DHA which is pretty darn good. The fish oil is sourced from wild sardines and anchovies which is much better than from farm raised. A serving size is 2 softgels which are very easy to swallow, there are 30 servings in this container. I find the current price of $19.26 to be a fair price considering the wild caught fish used in this supplement. I take fish oil for the health of my heart, eyes, brain and skin as well as my joints, I feel it helps keep me healthy and fit. I freeze my fish oil soft gels and it reduces the fishy burps that can occur when taking fish oils. I am very pleased with this fish oil supplement and I would buy it again.

No Aftertaste Omega 3 from Pharmaceutical Grade oils
I like that New Roots Herbal Wild Omega 3 are from wild caught sardines and anchovies which makes a healthier product. The softgels are large, but easy to swallow. I showed the size by photographing the softgel next to a quarter. To make sure my vitamins and supplements are easier to swallow I always take a drink of water first then take my vitamins/supplements with enough water to be sure they are swallowed all the way down. I like that the Wild Omega 3 were laboratory tested. I did not detect an aftertaste and have had no digestive issues when taking the Wild Omega 3. I really like that the Wild Omega 3 came in a tamper proof bottle; has a plastic ring on the lid that has to be removed to open the bottle and a foil seal over the opening of the bottle. The price is less than the Omega 3s that I took previously. I plan to purchase more Wild Omega 3 when I run out.

Good source of EPA and DHA, Pill large and hard to swallow
I liked that this brand of omega 3 oil pill doesn’t cause burping or indigestion but it was difficult to swallow, it sticks down the trachea and I had to drink and swallow plenty of water to move it down. Not ideal if you have a narrow digestive tract

Good Fish Oil Supplement
Fish oil is a very beneficial supplement and has multiple health benefits. I have taken it since 2005 and after taking it for a few months I felt the benefits, including the cognitive benefits. After taking it, I just felt more mentally level and had better memory recall. This is a great fish oil product. It is high potency and contains some vitamin E, which prevents oxidation and the oil from going rancid. This brand does certified third-party testing, which is good. These days you never know what you are getting when you buy a supplement. Overall, I really like this supplement.

A bit more palatable for me
I haven’t seemed to find a fish oil I readily find myself able to take regularly. I avoid them, the old “hard pill to swallow” idea. I love that these have lemon. It covers quite a bit of the smell. I do get burping with these but the lemon also helps with that. I have issues with my LES though so some people may not have the same response as I’m more likely to have this side effect on even burpless capsules. These are standard large fish oil capsules. I have to take one at a time. I like that these are wild caught. I am also glad they are made of anchovies and sardines. I always thought salmon was the gold standard but they tend to have higher mercury. There are several similar omegas at this price point. This brand is fish oil concentrates which renders it as an ethyl ester which arguably may be less readily absorbed than pure fish oil but the higher concentration outweighs this to me. It’s so much more important to take it regularly than it is to worry about which form. And with the lemon in these I’m actually taking them. They’re also made in Canada which I feel is an acceptable source.
