My granddaughter was not thrilled. Perhaps she is just too young (she’s 6). She loves crafts, but this just didn’t click with her. The pieces are very small, so it’s probably good to challenge their dexterity, but with 3 year-old triplets in the family, it was a bad idea. Not this Nana’s best moment.

My son likes Legos, but often lacks the attention span to complete the more complicated sets. He really likes these Dots sets, which are generally simple and more focused on using specialized pieces to decorate whatever it is you build. This set is bracelet focuses—it comes with 5 or 6 different colored rubber bracelets with Lego pegs for building. It also comes with several small bags of flat colored pieces (reds and orange, yellows, blues and teals, purples and pinks, grays and blacks, Disney pieces) and you use those to makes designs and decorations. My son really likes that aspect—taking the flat pieces and designing the bracelets. It’s pretty easy and promotes creativity, I think. There are no real directions to follow which is good for him (directions stress him out.) This set also comes with a nice tray to keep the very tiny and easy to lose pieces in. If these got into the regular Lego bin, they would be incredibly hard to find. Overall, we really like this set. My son really enjoys it. Highly recommended—in particular for kids that don’t handle the complicated sets well but still like to make things.

Our family has been playing with LEGOs for generations now and we were intrigued when "Dots" were introduced in 2020. Rather than building castles or other theme structures (we've built Star Wars ships and working toy trains, etc.), Dots are intended to colorfully decorate surfaces. Now, two years later, Dots have been such a hit that LEGO lists dozens of Dots sets. Bracelets were among the first to debut and now we've got projects like picture holders and bag tags. So, the big question is: Does the kid in your life enjoy LEGO? And have they discovered Dots? And do they enjoy Disney? If the answers are yes, then this is a great birthday or holiday gift. As far as we've seen, this is the first bracelet set featuring the classic Disney cartoon characters and it just debuted in the summer of 2022, so it's "hot" right now. And, yes, the "Dots" themselves will "fit" across the platforms. You can even buy extra Dot pieces as stand-alone sets from LEGO. We've got a granddaughter who loves Disney right now and loves to add kids' necklaces or bracelets. So, this is perfect for us.

We first saw Lego dots on a recent trip to Legoland. And ever since, dots have become our favorite. They are like arts and crafts but in Lego. We love Lego dots and we love these bracelets. They are comfortable and have so many design possibilities. The tiles stay on. You can buy more tiles. You can mix and match. The tiles work with all other Legos and vice versa. Quality is excellent and what you would expect from Lego. This Mickey and Friends theme set is great. So many pieces to choose from. We love wearing them around town but especially to Legoland and Disneyland! Any Lego (or Disney) fan would absolutely love this!

This is the second one I've bought for our granddaughters 4-5&6 to do when they're together. They've used up the first kit & don't want to take their works of art apart so I got them another one. Plenty of multiple pieces so no fights broke out.
