Completely Amazed!!
The media could not be loaded. Original deck on our 30 year old fiberglass fishing boat was ugly and the non-skid pattern has completely worn smooth over the years. We now have 2 little ones running around and once the deck is wet, it gets extremely slippery. Add sunscreen and bug spray to the mix and you might as well be standing on ice. Found these Dry-Dek tiles when I was searching for other kinds of foam mats and stuff. These seem like they would hold up better over the years. waiting on some edges and corners for some finishing touches. They were super easy to install. just make sure they're all facing the right direction, drop them down and snap them together. The edges were very easy to trim. I used a utility knife (razor blade knife) and with a slight effort, it cut through. They seemed durable enough to resist accidental cuts and tears, but easy enough to trim to fit.Once I laid about 10-12 of them down on the very slick, very smooth surface on my boat, they didn't slide as I walked on them, even though none of the edges were up against any walls. They seemed to grip the original deck just fine. They are very easy to remove from the boat for cleaning. I have 62 installed so far and I can just roll it up in one piece, carry it to shore to clean it or the original deck. They're not too bad for bare feet. I compare it to the feeling of those sandals that have the knobby massagers. I was never a fan of those sandals, but it is tolerable. Much better than slipping and busting your head open. They look great. I can't believe how much they've transformed the cockpit of my boat. Makes the boat look years and years newer.

This is the BEST, BAR-NONE!
I have had two approx 3 ft by 4 ft mats of dri-dek tiles that have been in constant outdoor use since 1990! (Ok, forgive me for a bit of redundancy here - but that is 29 YEARS! 29!!) Recently I found that I needed another one... I searched and found various other companies now that are offering somewhat similar tiles, but after seeing just how incredibly long lasting my old dri-deks are, there is no way I would switch. THANK YOU DRI-DEK!! You are absolutely and completely THE BEST! Oh - and in case anyone is wondering - my 1990 dri dek mats are still good as new except for some edges chewed by pups over the years. There is no better product on the market, Period.

A big savings over recarpeting and redecking
We bought this to cover the deck our pontoon boat and put it right over our old carpet. The carpet was originally a light color but had become soiled and unsightly and, even when we used a rug cleaning machine on it, still looked bad. Putting the Dri-Dek squares on actually made the deck look better than new and provided a non-slippery surface with a slight cushioning effect. It is obviously very tough material but was easily cut to fit around any curves from the console and furniture on the deck using a razor blade knife. It snaps together securely with a series of rubber knobs on the bottom that mate with female counterparts on adjacent tiles making a continuous surface. One "hidden" feature is that the rubber knobs are also present behind the female extensions that are on two edges of the tile even though they normally would not be used, so, if piecing is necessary, a leftover partial piece from elsewhere can still be used by removing the female extensions if needed. The tiles stay securely locked together but if necessary the mating parts can be pulled apart one by one and easily rejoined. The pieces fit together precisely; when finished, the surface looks continuous and it's hard to even see where the pieces join together. The fact that the new surface is raised about a quarter inch off the deck allows any rain to go right through openings and drain off as opposed to the original carpet which remained a bit soggy if wet until the sun dried it. Recarpeting would have required removal of the furniture, rails and trim, etc. and would have cost thousands plus we would have not chosen a carpeted surface anyway. Our underlying deck materials were still in great shape, so the Dri-Dek saved us quite a bit of money. There's been no need yet to powerwash it but it will obviously hold up just fine under powerwashing and I would expect it to last for many years looking pretty much as it does today. So far, we're big fans!

Just fantastic
I have used these for years with my dogs where I want to keep them dry and clean and also provide safe traction. I use them inside the dog crates in my SUV so they can grip and also allow any water to be kept away from them. I use them in the puppy pen when raising my puppies to provide traction and make a dry flooring. I also line my dog bathing tub to give them a secure footing when bathing the young pups. I have bleached, power washed, put together and pulled apart endless number of times and no fading or damage has ever occurred. I soak in hot water and Odoban in my spa tub to disinfect and there is never any residual odor.

Not Just for Boats!
Yes, you've seen Dri-Dek in the wild before - even if you don't go on boats. It's on the floor of the sauna and by the pool showers at the gym. It's at your favorite bar - watch where the bartenders put glasses to air-dry. If you want a little bit of airflow between a surface and whatever's going on top of it, Dri-Dek is your best bet.PROS: Dishwasher-safe, though you do have to flatten it out a bit if you don't lay it flat to wash; lots of color options; pretty much custom-sizing, since you snap them together.CONS: Your thumbs will be a little sore after snapping them together, but you know those things are NOT coming apart until you want them to. Use a towel, you'll be fine.
