Made to ROAM Premium Dog Collar - Adjustable Heavy Duty Nylon Collar with Quick-Release Metal Buckle (Florida Seaside, Classic Size 4)

I was looking for a quality, sportier looking collar for my miniature schnauzer puppy and came across this. I loved the look but was worried that it would be too big or too thick for my small breed dog. She was only 8 lbs at the time but I ordered a size 1 since I figured she’ll grow into it. I just adjusted the strap and it fit perfectly and now she’ll have room to grow as well. She has had it for a month now and it still fits great and is comfortable on her. It is the perfect thickness and is super sturdy. She is black and tan and I ordered the Vermont weekend color. It is so beautiful with her coloring. It’s exactly what I was looking for and I’ll definitely be coming back to this brand when it’s time to get a new one. Other reviews mentioned that because of the way it’s assembled the buckle will never lay flat. While I guess that’s true I haven’t even noticed it and neither has my dog. One thing I have noticed is that if you use the smaller d ring for the tag, it will always lay to the side and not on the chest as most dog tags do. At first I was mildly bugged by that but I got over it very quickly. My husband even commented that he liked it better because now he could actually see her tag. The buckle opens easily but stays very secure when closed. I give it a 10/10! Update: she has had this for almost 2 years now. Still same collar and it’s still in great shape. She has grown a lot since then and the collar still fits her. Buckle and everything still functions perfectly.

Oreo’s been wearing this collar daily since July 2023, and it still looks brand new! The quality is outstanding!! sturdy hardware, sleek design, and great durability. We got the Colorado Nightsky in size 3, and I love how modern and clean it looks. It complements Oreo’s coat perfectly and gives him a stylish yet rugged vibe. The quick-release metal buckle works smoothly, making it super easy to put on and take off, and both the D-ring and tag ring feel solid and well-placed. After more than two years of everyday use, there’s no fraying, fading, or wear at all. It’s kept Oreo safe and comfortable on every walk. Definitely our favorite collar by far!

I'm so happy with this purchase. I purchased a classic size 2 for my 21 lb Havanese. I love the adjustability of this collar because when my pup gets all fluffy before a shaving his neck is several inches larger than after the shave. The clasp is a very sturdy metal and makes the collar a little heavy. I was nervous it would irritate my dog at first but I put it on him and he didn't care at all. Great collar and I would definitely repurchase if needed when I'm ready for a color change!

We have been rescuing Labrador Retrievers for the past twenty years. We have been through many types of collars. I have always liked the nylon webbing material, and found it to be superior to other materials for wear and tear in all kinds of weather. Eventually the collars we used either frayed a bit or the cheaper hardware broke. Our two current Labs are 95 and 85 lbs and needed new collars after a year of wear with the current brand. I have considered buying the tactical/service kind over the years but always thought they were overkill for what we needed. Somehow I found this Made to Roam brand on Amazon last week and was intrigued by the product. Bought two after looking at the specs and reading a lot of the reviews. Very good feedback from their customers. We’ve had them for a couple of days now and walked in a rain storm last night. Seems like a hybrid of standard and tactical designed collars; not too cheap and not too overbuilt. So far so good. I really like the quality of the nylon webbing material. Seems very, very sturdy. Seems better than anything we have had before. Both dogs needed size 4 which moved us to a 1.5 inch for the first time. Looks a bit big compared to what are used to at 1 inch but the dogs didn’t seem to mind. The hardware is metal/steel and brings another layer of heft and quality to the collar. We will see how it holds up through a hot muggy summer and into next fall and winter. I hope it lasts a couple of years. I have to give this a highly recommended rating based on what I see in the quality materials and product design. Congrats to the owners Jenn & Teresa.

Solid collar. Cool colors, sturdy build. Happy to support a small, female-owned, American company. Fair price. True that it doesn't bend where the buckle is so doesn't keep a curve throughout, but it's not an issue with a bigger dog and bigger neck. Happy with it so far.

It’s made from quality products & the color is beautiful. I noticed in other pictures ppl posted that the collar did not seem to lie flat all. It juts out at a weird angle. I just figured that was bc the fabric is new and stuff, but it’s more than that. Imo it’s a design flaw. I’m sure they had a good reason for designing it the way they did, but imo if they had designed it the same way on both sides of the buckle with only one layer of the double-layered fabric going through the other side of the buckle it would then lie flat. As you can see in my pics as I put it on my leg- you can see how it juts out at an angle & how you can see daylight in between the layers of the collar. Imo that leaves bother place for a collar to get snagged on a fence or grabbed by a predator etc. I also don’t like the aesthetics of the collar not lying flat. Bc one side is doubled that side rubs the neck bc it’s thicker. It’s literally twice as thick bc of the design. That said: the collar is extremely well made. It’s beautiful. The colors in their line are lovely. It’s a small business & I choose to support them as a previous small business owner. I’m hoping they will create a design that will lie flat on the neck bc I do like the quality of the product. Also note, when you open the collar you want to slide your fingers down the buckle to the release pincers. Don’t just grab the pincers bc they are painful imo. I love this collar, but as a person who doesn’t wear jewelry bc of neck issues I will not be placing it next to my pups neck. I am really hoping they do a redesign or different design & also harnesses bc it really is very well made with heavy duty hardware which my Great Pyrenees service dog needs.

Best collar we’ve ever had. This is our second ROAM collar. We’ve had the first for four years of daily use and it is still perfectly functional and in decent shape considering the heavy abuse. We purchased the second so she’d have a “nice” collar. These collars are sturdy and hold up against our reactive GSDs occasional big reactions. The buckle has always been sturdy and is very rare to pinch her neck (always my fault putting it on too quickly) and releases extremely easily when we come back inside. These collars are an excellent price and excellent quality. They have a lifetime customer in us.

Almost 5 years later and this collar is going strong. The clasp locks tightly and smoothly and the large loop is intact. No complaints. It looks great and is quite sturdy. Trying to decide how long to keep using it before getting a new one, if nothing goes wrong with the old one.

Great product.

I was looking for a high quality dog collar for my corgi, and came across this on Amazon. At time of purchase it was around £50. A few weeks later, I wanted to check if there was any sort of matching harness, so I looked up their website. It turns out these collars are around half the price on their website, leading me to think the materials and quality are not as “premium” as I had expected.

Muy buen collar, dura muchísimo y en excelente estado. Sin embargo compre dos para mis chihuahuas y siento que es muy pesado para ellas. El herraje es de excelente calidad pero si pesado.
