I was looking for a portafilter holder that would make puck prep easier. This one works great—-fits 54mm Breville PFs great, it is heavy and sturdy and well made. More importantly it all easily comes apart to hand clean.

This is one of those items I didn’t know how needed it was until I used it. The portafilter sits perfectly balanced and very stable, allowing for level tamping. It helps keep the counter clean and is itself, extremely easy to clean. It is very well made and adds a great look to your espresso set up.

This is a daily use item for my Coffee Cave! I easily swapped out the spacer rings to fit my 58mm portafilters. The rings are very easy to replace, and you have a few sizing options. I have single, double, and naked portafilters; all fit very nicely into the stand. The riser screw is adjustable, but it will have limited usefulness with portafilters having heavier handles. I am unable to get my portafilters to sit level, but that's the tradeoff for a round stand vs something larger with a resting arm. The stand has some weight to it, making it very stable when using. I like the removable base; it makes it much easier to clean. I won't say it's my favorite accessory, but overall, it works as intended so I am satisfied with the purchase. Would I recommend this? Probably. Would I be offended if you didn't buy it based on my recommendation. Probably not.

This is a great product, and has made my espresso ritual considerably easier and more streamlined. Shots pulled using a bottomless portafilter show little to no channeling now, compared to preparing the puck on a mat. Bringing the portafilter closer to you and giving it a firmer and more stable stand/hold, i.e., holding it by the edges vs the bottom or the spouts, make for a better work flow for preparing the puck. The negatives I've found so far are 1) the bolt that you adjust for resting the portafilter handle on could adjust a little higher and could be a little sturdier, but it is sufficient as is, and 2) the bottom cover comes off too easily. Simply picking the holder up and moving it will cause the bottom piece to fall off. Overall, I really like this portafilter holder and it has been a welcome addition to my espresso arsenal.

Solid unit and looks great. Really nice design. Love how the base comes off for convenient cleaning.

Might be okay for a regular two spout portafilter but useless for a bottomless portafilter, can't hold it steady. Send back immediately.

I have the Aluminum version, which I chose only because it is black, and Im happy with how heavy the piece is with it being aluminum. It works for my tamping needs, as I am using the latest 2024 version of the Ascaso portafilters, both double spout and the bottomless. The fit is pretty tight where you almost have to squeeze it in, bit it does stay level, which is what is important.

I really wish it worked with my portafilter. The adjustment nut won’t go far enough down for my portafilter to fit properly. Returned. It’s made out of solid aluminum with a removable rubber bottom. Seems very sturdy just wished it fit my portafilter

Good holder but not very stable

At first I thought I had received the 58mm model rather than the 54mm. Despite the listing stating that it fits breville machines the slot is not deep enough to use the support screw at the bottom, you have to remove it. When you remove it you'll find that they didn't bother to deburr that hole either. Support was quick to respond to my enquiry but not very helpful. It seems like these are known issues to them. I will say that other than deburring that hole the finish is very nice. I have the SS dosing funnel that clips onto the outside of the portafilter and it almost fits inside so I'll probably increase the opening slightly with my Dremel and make that work. With the dosing funnel on the weight balances more forward so lacking that screw support shouldn't be so bad.

It is a good solid aluminium holder to ease the puck prep. It holds the original sage’s or breville’s portafilter with the spouts very well but it doesn’t hold any bottomless portafilter on its own! You have to hold the bottomless portafilter’s handle by your hand while doing WDT, distribution, and tamping process. The rubber bottom is a great idea to keep your counter clean. Looks nice and very easy to clean.
