These foam nunchakus are pretty nice for just form and style training, but so light weight I don't doubt they can be broken with a single strong intended swing. They could make good combat toys for kids, but I'd be cautious of the metal chain, might want that swapped with a shorter thick set of shoe strings. Aside from that, they feel nice to swing around and try some cool martial arts tricks with, and with their padding they won't punish you too much if you're off by an inch or a few feet (unless your grip slips...). If you're looking to get either a semi-authentic ninja toy for your young one, or want to practice with them yourself, would recommend, especially as a practically 2-for-1 deal. Small note to vendor - Would like to be able to mix and match different colors (i.e. pink and orange, or yellow and red, or black and purple. maybe a white and silver set).

These Nunchuck's are fantastic for training. Whether you are an adult or child. Great quality. And so is the price! Would recommend and would buy again.

I was legitimately impressed with the quality of them compared to other practice chucks I’ve gifted (that’s right this isn’t my first rodeo). They’re soft enough that the in-laws won’t be too mad at you but firm enough that the kids wielding them feel like Bruce Lee. Stop thinking about it and buy the nunchucks, cement your position as the coolest one in the family.

The nunchucks with chains are great, however with the rest being foam/plastic, All of the weight is mostly at the top. This is great for swinging the chucks around and practicing techniques where it never leaves the hand, and building confidence in speed before you transition to heavier ones. For techniques where it leaves the hand however, I highly recommend you get the rubber ones for your collection too (also from Amazon) so that you are better equipped to practice any technique. (Or, just ones with more even weight distribution. I got the rubber ones) Overall, I'm impressed with the durability of this product and was happy to see that there is a carrying case included as well. Have a great day

I bought this pair for my nephews as a gift. I was the coolest uncle for a hot minute. The cushioned handle must be soft enough to "train" with. I haven't heard any complaints of injuries yet (two months later), so they must be okay. Right?

My daughter takes martial arts and has to practice with her set, both rubber and metal. I use these soft nunchucks to practice with her so she can work on her speed (I try but I never win! Ha!). This set is surprisingly good for practice. Comfortable and the top rotates 360 degrees making them move more naturally. Have used them for over a year. No issues. Definitely recommend for practice!

Seems to be a good beginner set. We shall see if my five year old can manage them. They seem huge.

These are legit for the price. Its a thin light chain that won't snap with use, but will snap if you abuse them. They're light, but they're heavy enough with you smack yourself in a bone with them. Very fun to spin them around the workout area, working up a breath.
