It's qieter than my old one, I should say it's a quiet kettle, it pours well boils quickly, lovely blue colour, it will show limescale obviously, within a few days, mine isn't because I'm using bottled spring water in it.i did use tap water for a day or two and the kettle looked very murky and I did have to put limescale remover in it and clean the metal plate in the bottom. I live in an extremely hard water area so that is why. It's a good kettle and it's very sparkly and clear blue when it's boiling, so I would say it's probably better for people who live in soft water areas. (if you want it to stay clear) good price for a nice looking kettle. The lid when you press for opening it's a press down and slightly back action as someone else has said. for it to pop open.

This seems a good kettle apart from the lid release, which is a bit hit and miss.

Purchased this kettle 15months ago. To open the lid someone please tell me how you do it as the mechanism is absolutely rubbish in the end found what worked for me then the kettle decided to stop working don’t know why but if you are looking for a new kettle avoid buying this one more trouble than it’s worth

Had this kettle for about three weeks now and I have to say it's a lot quieter than our last glass fast boil kettle. It takes about 70 seconds to boil the minimum amount 0.5 ltr which is good enough for two average sized mugs and about 6 nearly 7 minutes to boil a full 1.8 ltr from cold tap water. Once boiling it takes about 10 seconds to switch itself off. Empty, it isn't any heavier than a typical plastic kettle. I read that some find the "tip/pour angle" a bit steep and I can see that this would be an issue maybe for some but as we're both reasonably able bodied at this point it isn't a problem for us. It's quite a good pourer as well except when you're on the last few drops. The glass does get hot when in use but there is a strip of plastic in between the handle and the glass to help avoid getting burned so that's a plus and there are fill level on both sides of the glass which is handy for lefties and righties. The Amazon listing says it's 110V but as we're in the UK ours is 240V an up to 2200W not the lower rating stated in the listing. Overall pretty good and worth considering Who knew you could write so much about a kettle . . . . .

Received this today, 19 Mar 2026. It boils water okay as promised, the problem I have with it is opening the lid. The manual says press 'the Lid Release Button' (LRB for short). I did that and nothing happened. Finally got it open and figured out what the problem was. When you press the LRB, it retracts a small bolt that releases the lid, and the spring acton is meant to open the lid. Only it doesn't, as you are holding the LRB down which is keeping the lid closed! Let go of the LRB and the bolt extends again and holds the lid closed. See the problem? I finally had to hold down the LRB while simultaneously prising the lid open with a knife, to lift it enough for the spring to take over. Is this a crazy design or is it just me? Gave it 3 stars as I'm sure it will work fine as a kettle, it's just annoying having to open it with a knife, especially if for some reason you have to do it when the kettle is hot.

Great kettle and quite speedy

Ok. It’s a hard thing to admit, since I enjoy many aspects of my kitchen- tools, appliances - who’s presence facilitate tasks daily to ease task & speed prep. But this GEM, is my favorite! Used daily. Spouse thought it was dumb, but with kids & life distractions- I had burnt a “Few” pots before thus purchase. New Parent / childcare/ caregiver/ pets not people / no pets - no people But Busy - This is perfect. After the death of a “few” pots- I recalled a boiling water pot, I’d used in France many years ago - hadn’t “taken” state side looked for years. Stopped looking. At a retreat, I fell in love & came home raving of the cool light up hot water pitcher- I think my burnt pot issue had a solution- finally. Spouse thought it may be “redundant” but will give it a chance. Mutually not thrilled to have another thing on our counter, we embarked on our new hot water journey. I use hot water ALL year. Why I waited 19 ( almost 20 years) to buy - Why (still) I don’t know. This pot is Amazing. Spouse enjoys it too! Heats faster in morning than our “ pot method “ & he feels better about walking away. Heats to RAPID BOIL. I put it in my thermos & it’s still tea bag ready at lunch. ( yes, that’s more about my thermos, BUT Hot not tepid - since VERY HOTwhen put in. Win to me.) During infant/ cancer care/ dog care & life distractions - this is a tool I wish I had in those times. Can’t get time back now, But MAYBE it can help you!!!!! Hard day+ empty burnt pot - double sad. My days are brighter & prep Waaaay EASIER. WE Forgave counter issue, since it’s used so much. Thanks for good quality. Waited to use before posting review. Design wise: Easy to pick up. When full, I can put a hand under it to pour. I like the lines. It’s nice to look at. Not too bulky & not too small. Yes- I use to Max fill line 3-5 times per day some days (esp. winter weekends). So far- so good. I do WAIT between uses. So it has cool down time. 1-2 hours. Haven’t had to do vinegar cleaning yet. Easy to use & so much faster than my pots - even our small one(4 cups), on a rapid heat burner. Only thing I’d change is option for light on / off. When I get up late & only use night lights, The light on to pour my cup will be a nice addition. Or light off during day. Or Light on while hot. I do like that my kids know, The blue light means Hot water & be careful. Excellent safety aspect- imho. Tea time is on! Coffee too. Love this product! “Happiness cannot be bought”- this came pretty close to a challenge of that statement for me. I’m very happy with this. Thanks for reading. Absolutely Love this kettle. The blue light is so pretty and it heats up water very quickly and shuts off by itself. Very happy w/this. Highly recommend.

It works great and I really, really like seeing that beautiful blue colour when I turn this kettle on in the mornings.
