Excellent shorts! They look great! Feel great! The drop in the crotch isn’t low which is what I was looking for. If you’re trying to avoid the typical gym shirt that is longer than your knees and the crotch seam is by your knees than these are what you’re looking for. The draw string is great too. It’s a wide and similar to a shoe string and goes the entire way around the shorts. Doesn’t get sewn in to the seam in the back.

After 2 years, I figured it was time to write a review. When I initially bought them, I bought a 3 pack, I can't remember if that was something that was being offered at a discount at the time, or if I literally bought 3 separate pairs of the shorts, needless to say, I'm very happy with the purchase. After 2 years, the shorts are still in great condition. I did end up taking out the drawstring in the inside as the size small fit my waist perfectly.. There wasn't a reason to use it, so I pulled it out. The LUWELL logo on the leg has also faded over time, but honestly, that's happened with Nike shorts that I've owned in the past too; I've had these shorts for over 2 years and I've worn them exclusively during the summer for both work and casual wear. For what little amount of money I did pay for them, I'm over the moon, they still fit, they're still in good condition, I have 0 complaints, I will be ordering 3 more pairs for the summer since it's starting to get a bit warm where I live. Go with what everybody else is saying, get a pair!

A really nice pair of athletic shorts. I can't believe I only paid $16.99 for them! I am a somewhat rare 33" waist size. The medium shorts fit me perfectly. I just tried out the shorts on my first run. Wasn't conscious of them at all - which is great. It has a nice wide drawstring which I personally really like. Some of the high-end running shorts give you super thin and skinny drawstrings which tend to knot up (and then you have to cut them). The drawstring is also a bright color, contrasting the color of the shorts (I picked blue). Unless I'm in a race where shredding every micro-ounce of thread weight matters, I'm not a fan of super short running shorts. I find the Luwell shorts to be the perfect, ideal length. And if you're not up to wearing cargo or khaki shorts on summer day, you could probably get a way with wearing these around casually. The only reason that I'm not giving Luwell star #5 here is because the shorts do not include the all-important key pouch for runners. If they add that to this model I will award the full five.

I’ve been on a multi-year journey for “above the knee shorts” to replace the tattered ones I've been sleeping in for most of my adult life. Everywhere I look in the stores are always below the knee, basketball style. If desperate enough, I could spend $40 on over engineered, name brand running shorts, but most include that annoying liner. Thanks, but no thanks. I need my “freedom”. Is this a tangible sign that I’m officially too old and my personal tastes have fallen out of style? If so, I’m also too old to care. Thankfully these have come to my rescue. They are very comfortable and breathable. I bought one as a test case and I’m about to stockpile a bunch more to last me into the next decade. If you’re on a similar journey, these are worth a shot!

These are perfect for lifting weights. I have no idea how good these are for running because I don' run. But I got these, and have used them in the gym, and just yesterday in a strongman competition, and I didn't notice them once. At no point while working out do you notice your gym shorts and that's a positive. When I reached for where my phone should be in my pockets, there it was. When I needed a deep squat position I didn't feel any resistance or catching. When I walked around or sat down I couldn't feel them. This is what you want, and is something I haven't experienced in gym shorts before. I got these as testers, and with a couple more pairs they will replace all other gym shorts I own. As for the length, they come to just above the knee, which is critical for them not catching on the knee. I think it's the best all-around length. If you NEED shorts to come below your knee, try these out anyway. You may be surprised at how good just above the knee shorts feel. The only reason I may own other gym shorts is if I decide I want some in 9" or 5", but if these were made in a 5" or 9", I would buy those as well. For comparison, I'm 5'6 and 180lbs, at about 18% body fat. These shorts are big butt approved, which is not all that common in gym shorts today. (I bought two other brands at the same time to try on, and they are both going back for this reason).

This is the second workout shorts I bought recently.. This one is pretty light and very comfortable if you are looking for something that you can wear when you are jogging or cycling.. Feels super light.. Easily machine washable and dries fast so you can go running again the next day.. Quality is fine, fabric could have been better but overall serves the purpose..

These are nice shorts, but a bit on the small side. They are much shorter and snugger than my other workout shorts. They are stretchy enough so they are still useful, but I wouldn't buy them again.

I bought one pair to check out the fit and quality. The material is comfortable, light weight, and good quality. They are well made and I really like the fit. They are not too tight and not baggy with a current style. I immediately ordered another pair, a different color, and I will be ordering another.

I got these as hospital casual shorts for my dad when he fractured his hip and was in recovery hospital for 2 months. He needed something easy to put on and take off that wasn't too short and allowed flexible movement. These did all that plus he found them stylish enough to not feel like he was wearing pyjamas. They are now his fav lounge at home wear.

Used for tennis where the pockets (important) are fine but the see-through fabric counts as a failure. If the same shorts had internal netting (better for support) the product would be terrific, even at a higher price. I now need to buy white jocks/underwear. Probably good value-for-money to buyers who have a different use for the shorts - or if the seller is transparent about the transparency.

Pockets are highly visible when worn with non white underwear. Seems durable.
