Kindle Fire HDX for Seniors: Step-by-Step Instructions to Work with the Kindle Fire HDX Tablet (Computer Books for Seniors series)

I don't recall when I first came across this series of books. I think it was at my local library. I have always found their works to be accurate and written in a style that is easily comprehended. This volume is my latest purchase of a book by this publisher. Once again I feel it meets my needs as a reference manual for my Kindle. I must like the style as this is the eight in the line that I have purchased. I have yet failed to come across what I would consider to be a technical error in any of the books.As a senior, I like the size and style of the type used. The larger than typical type face is easy to read. I have also found the style of the technical information presented in typically done in a fashion that is clear and easy to understand. The many color illustrations make it easy to follow the technical information contained within.As a retired engineer, I have found that I am the go to source for computer and other technical advice in my circle of friends. I have on occasion recommended this series of books to several of my friends. Thus far everyone who I have recommend one to has been pleased with the book they purchased.Based on my experience and that of my friends who have also used books in this series, I will say that any senior wanting to have a good reference book for their Kindle Fire HDX will not be disappointed in this volume.

Found this to be very helpful in many areas, although in truth, the best thing about the Kindle Fire HDX is that button that brings up a technician immediately to walk my technically challenged husband through problems he cannot solve! Despite my advanced age, I adore the Fire HDX, yet I still use my Kindle Touch for reading! I recommend the guide for those not overly familiar with computers, etc. as it is available for reading as one discovers the wonders of the 21st Century!

Great for getting you up and running but not so hot for going beyond into actual program uses. If you've never used a cell phone or a computer this is just what you need. But if you want some guidance on how do anything beyond the basics you need to look for something else.

Nice book with clear instructions and pics. Unfortunately (as a senior newbie) I misunderstood the "X" in the title -Kindle Fire HDX - as the Roman Numeral 10. It is not! Despite differences, I'm able to navigate my Kindle.

I purchased this book for my mother. She liked the idea of a resource available to her in large print with detailed photos. Appreciate that Seniors are of importance to this writer. Thanks for a great source.

I really like my Kindle Fire HDX. The only thing I don't like about is the set up of the camera. It is very hard to take pictures. Having said that I was not really interested in the camera feature, at the start so I can't really complain.

I bought this for my daughter who was completely in the dark when it came to using her Kindle Fire HDX which she received as a Christmas present. Book is for much older version of Kindle Fires...Was hoping to give to parents but I couldn't find relevancy for my use let alone theirs.

Must better than the last book I bought on the subject. This one is very clear and the illustrations are good.
