What is the maximum diameter of the pole this can be used on? I have a big and tall chair with a pole diameter of 1 1/2 in. Would this product work?

These have an inside diameter of 1 3/16" so they would not fit. I would suggest getting a piece of PVC pipe and cutting to the length you need. If you can't get the seat off to put it on, cut it in half and put a couple of hose clamps around it to hold it together.

My chair wobbles where the shaft meets the seat. If I stack these will it keep my chair from wobbling?

No, I wouldn't think so. Sounds like you might be missing some bolts where the seat meets the bracket. I suppose if the seat sinks down to the Office Chair Hero, it may offer some stabilization, but I wouldn't buy them because you need to stabilize your seat.
