Very low quality for $35; wood was chipped in several places and the corners were not well sanded down. It shot the bolt it came with okay, but the third time I shot it something made a loud creaking wood noise within the crossbow and I didn't try to shoot it again for fear of it breaking on me.

It was cheaply made and has already broke. I will be returning it.

Despite being a toy with rubber tipped arrows, this product is surprisingly well made and effective. It has the appearance of a real medieval crossbow with dramatic, stained wood. It has a soft plastic bow string that gets drawn back and hooked above a trigger assembly, then a short wooden arrow with plastic tip is placed on the crossbow and then the trigger is pulled. The arrow can go all the way across the room rather precisely but loses force quickly. The soft rubber arrowhead is not very aerodynamic so it won't shoot too far. It is also soft enough where it will not do much damage even if it hits somebody. We are mainly using it for target practice, such as knocking down cans, and a close range it is very effective. With the exceptions of really young children, anyone can use this product. It is easy to draw back and the trigger is oversized and very light to the touch. The arrows consist of short thin dowels with an arrowhead-shaped piece of rubbery plastic at the end. Overall this is a lot of fun and is great for learning about actual crossbows, or just having fun and playing Robin Hood. Everything works well and it appears to be made with high quality wood, there are no loose parts or poor fitting seams, everything is constructed very well with this crossbow!

Crossbow weak and bolts were useless.

It's actually made with good quality as you can see in the video it's it's put together well there was only one screw I had to put in. And you get a lot of arrows and just to remind you they have rubber tips on them but still it's probably not good to point them at anybody would be my call on that one. You saw the video it's easy to use it's put together well and again it's it's fun even for us adults for me anyway. I definitely recommend it but I also recommend make sure you just don't point it at anybody even though the rubber tips I'm sure it can hurt lll definitely for the outside use

I got this to help teach my grandson an appreciation for the outdoors. I love shooting my bow and he wants to be like “papa”. This has been a great way for us to bond and play together. In the process of being out and shooting with him, I’m educating him on wildlife and our forest. I know it’s intended to be a toy, but it’s turning out to be an educational tool. As for the crossbow itself, accuracy is as expected for a toy. Not great but it works. The bolts look realistic enough but cannot cause damage or injuries so long as the person using it understands this is a “weapon “ and needs to be treated as such. Don’t shoot anybody with it or it could still take out an eye. All in all it’s a fun toy, great bonding experience and seems to be built to last at least a few months in the hands of a 5 year old.
