Weleda Deep Moisture Facial Balm, 1 Fluid Ounce, Plant Rich Moisturizer with Sweet Almond Oil

I have normal/combo skin and run more on the dry side. Age: In my 30's. I live in very sunny state and make it up to the cold North here and there. The Iris lotion light and moisturising, doesn't leave any residue, isn't tacky, and absorbs quickly. Almond and Rose are nice also. Skin Food was too rich for my skin type though I prefer lotions over creams. I didn't like it for my hands or my face. The Rose and Almond lotions are creamier than the Iris and better choice (for me) in winter. The Iris fragrance is much lighter than the others which I prefer though, none of these above mentioned are overpowering. I use about a pea-size am/pm and the tube will last anywhere from 2 to 3 months. For what you pay, 30ml doesn't seem like a lot. Note: the lotions range in price by ingredient, Iris being on the lower price range. That being said, I used to pay a lot more for dept luxury brands. These products were often heavily fragranced, have pretty packaging and required other products or steps. It's not drugstore so this falls in the middle for me. Weighing out cons of costs and pros of product effectiveness and company social responsibility, I think their prices are quite reasonable. Overall, I feel good using Weleda. Just a note of caution, look at the expiry date. It's a good sign that these products will go bad but make sure you get one that'll last you for the time you're using it. The Iris lotion is not avail at retail stores where I live and I rarely see it stocked at other places. Not sure why that is but the Iris Hydrating Lotion is a winner for me.

The first time I tried this moisturizer I thought it was too greasy . I had bought 2 so I returned the unopened one. When I tried the one I kept again I absolutely loved it! I am on my 4th order now! It moisturizes and makes your skin glow. I am a fan!!!

I'd like to thank Weleda for keeping all of their products cruelty-free, my kind of people/company. I found this balm to be the bomb, Pardon my silly play on words, but it is true, this is absolutely excellent for very dry aging as in over 60 skin. I use it every night and adore it. It makes my skin feel so smooth and soft in the mornings. The light scent is not bothersome so if you have a problem with scents you'll be just fine with this. It has sweet almond oil in it which is wonderful for dry skin or very dry skin such as mine. You only need a very small amount, I use a pea size amount and it works great for all-night hydration. I'm so happy I found WELEDA, great products at affordable prices, and the best part, drum roll please, cruelty-free! If you're in need of that something extra for very dry aging skin get this is amazing! UPDATE: Weleda, I love your balm but will you PLEASE consider making it in something other than this tube? This tube is extremely hard to get your product once it's on the low side, wish you would please put it in an easier-to-get container, now I know what others were complaining about. Thanks.

My sister tried the product and did not feel that it was absorbed as quickly or easily as the description said. This being said Weleda makes a good product but with limitations.

I love this! Its great on my dry skin. I don't need to use much. And I even mix a little with my everyday foundation. It doesn't have a strong smell, it is relatively cheap, and it usually lasts me for a month and a half (I squeeze every last tiny bit off the tube). I feel like it has helped my skin feel soft and elastic (2 essentials when you are in your 50s).

It’s a great product. I don’t like the cream version due to the coconut ingredient. My face doesn’t do well with coconut. Unfortunately, there is no happy in-between; the lotion requires multiple applications to moisture well. One the plus, the formulation doesn’t overwhelm my pores, it does not cause acne, nor do i look greasy. It smells great and it never aggrevates my skin. It’s a pure product too. But I find that due to the multiple applications the product should be more generous, especially given the cost. Additionally, while aluminum might be safer than plastic in terms of chemistry, once the foil is folded it is rather sharp. Additionally, you can’t get all of the product out (even when squeezed appropriately). If you cut it open with scissors you will discover you are wasting several applications on your recycling bin. Cutting it open to make use of this otherwise costly waste can send you to the ER. Please consider changing your packaging. So far I’m at your mercy as the product is decent and much cheaper than the amazing but cruelly expensive aesop, suki and Haushka products. I’ve been using this formula for years. Maybe adding some haluronic acid could improve the moisturizing properties?

My quest to find a moisturizer that is natural, effective on my dry skin, and free of the essential oils my skin hates has led me here. I have been using this for a few months now and am pretty hooked on this one. I have dry skin and live in a dry, high altitude area, so I live and die by the quality of my moisturizer. I find most moisturizers are watery and do very little on my skin. With most I have tried, I feel moisturized for a while after applying at night, but I wake up in the morning to find dry patches on my face. This one lasts all night! The formula is a nice consistency and has a good thickness to it- it feels creamy, not watery. For me it is instantly soothing and moisturizing. I use it morning and night, and if I feel I need a little extra moisturizing power, I just add two drops of squalane or jojoba oil in my hand before applying. Really the only issue I have with this is that the container is so tiny! One tube lasts me about six weeks, using this twice a day. If you have dry skin and are sensitive to citrus essential oils like me, this one is definitely worth a try.

This is the only cream that my daughter can use on her face. It doesn't cause any kind of reaction to her sensitive skin and it is nice and light.

Die Menge ist ziemlich gering und der Preis im Verhältnis dazu eher hoch, deshalb versuche ich, das Produkt sparsam zu verwenden, damit es wenigstens einen Monat hält. Trotzdem bin ich sehr zufrieden damit. Meine Haut ist ziemlich fettig, aber diese Creme fettet meine Haut überhaupt nicht. Im Gegenteil – sie hat eine sehr leichte Textur, und wenn ich sie auftrage, fühlt es sich an, als hätte ich gar nichts im Gesicht. Die Konsistenz ist wirklich angenehm. Dass die Inhaltsstoffe biologisch sind, ist für mich ein großer Pluspunkt. Ich habe erst vor Kurzem mit der Anwendung begonnen, aber ich mag die Wirkung jetzt schon. Ich hoffe, dass es auf lange Sicht noch bessere Ergebnisse bringt. Es gefällt mir sehr, dass die Creme kein schweres Gefühl hinterlässt und ein frisches Hautgefühl gibt. Auch wenn der Preis etwas hoch ist, ist das Produkt meiner Meinung nach definitiv einen Versuch wert – dank seiner Inhaltsstoffe, der Textur und dem angenehmen Gefühl auf der Haut.

Ich habe eine Mischhaut mit glänzenden Partien und dem Hang zu Unreinheiten und leide seit wenigen Jahren dazu noch an Rosazea und vertrage seither viele Cremes gar nicht. Die Weleda leichte Mandelcreme hat nur 9 ausgewählte Inhaltsstoffe und ist für mich einfach perfekt. Die meisten Hersteller bringen leider nur Cremes für sensible und zugleich trockene Haut heraus. Da führen bei mir dann zwar nicht unverträgliche Inhaltsstoffe zu Rosazeaschüben sondern schlicht das zu viel an Fett. Um so mehr freue ich mich, dass Weleda auch an den sensiblen Mischhaut-Typ gedacht hat und neben der reichhaltigen Variante auch diese leichte Creme anbietet. Die Creme ist sehr ergiebig, lässt sich sehr gut verteilen und hinterlässt ein schön weiches, nicht klebendes Hautgefühl. Sie mattiert zwar nicht, aber meine Haut glänzt durch sie auch nicht mehr wie ich es sonst von vielen Cremes kenne. Sie ist parfumfrei, duftet auf Grund der Inhaltsstoffe ganz leicht nach Mandel. Ich mag das sehr. Hautreizungen werden schnell gemildert. Ich bekomme keine Unreinheiten, was sonst leider auch häufig der Fall ist. Ich kann diese Creme hier sehr empfehlen. Für alle mit Mischhaut, egal ob empfindlich oder nicht. Wer Rosazea hat: bei mir ist die Creme selbst während eines Rosazeaschubes therapiebegleitend (!) sehr gut verträglich gewesen. Nach Abklingen der Rosazea verwende ich sie einfach weiter als Tages- und Nachtcreme und kann mir sicher sein, dass sie zu keinem neuen Rosazeaschub führt.
