this is a genius child safety item.. pros: - genius lock system that is simple and easy to use - does not have any kind of glue or stickiness that will mess up my furniture. - durable material that makes this item lasting -adjustable to most cabinet distances of handles cons: - need shoehorn style handles to work. the only negative I found and that is something that cannot be changed, the item needs a particular type of handles to be useful. all i need to do is slide the closing piece in and the teeth in the back will keep them secured, once I wanna open he cabinet I press the opening piece and slide out releasing it from the teeth and it slides right open, pretty simple system! but overall this is a pretty well made safety system that is effective and not bad looking at all.

I have a tuxedo cat that likes to get into the trash in the cabinet under the sink & he also broke the food bin, so we put that in a cabinet & we've had to actually put chairs in front of the 2 cabinets to keep him out. I can't have children, so my 3 cats mean everything to me. He's a darling boy, incredibly loving, but absolutely ravenous & if he had his way, he'd break into the food bin, rip open the food bag & eat to his hearts content. Many of food bags he has torn open. As I mentioned, he also likes to get into the trash. I had about enough of this behavior, so I purchased these locks. Very easy to install & open (for a human, that is). He tried for about 5 minutes & gave up. He hasn't tried again since. He's a smart guy. He knows when he's been beat. So yeah, game over for him.

My 10-month-old is strong and he has tried to open cabinets with no luck. The sliding locks get his attention and plays with them, giving me a couple of minutes to get what I need in the kitchen done. They are easy to install and take off when I'm in the kitchen cooking. No installation time, tools, or setting time like other (inside locks), which btw my son ripped right off. I"m no bother with the fact you can see them, no big deal since it keeps my baby safe and after all, it's only temporary.

Although one wasn't big enough to secure around our cabinet knibs we put latched two together and they work prefectly. My fault I didn't nt read measurements when ordering, but if you run into the same issue we had, two will get the job done. Love they don't rely on hard to remove stickers. Easy for parents to use! My 3 year old is stumped (in the picture you'll notice a failed attempt still stuck to the cupboards... I can't get them to unstick).

I have a cat who is both too smart for his own good and yet dumb as a box of rocks. His latest trick is opening the French doors that separate my room from the rest of the house so he can go eat the other cats' food and get into fights with them for whatever reason he cooks up in his tiny walnut brain OR let the other household cats into my room so they can try to eat my plants or my various computer cables [RIP my previous WIFI antenna] or gorge themselves on his expensive prescription diet just because they *can*. Furry little jerks. I was using a brick as a doorstop before now, but he figured out he could push that aside and go cavort through the rest of the house, so I tried a cinderblock with the Exact. Same. Result. Fortunately, Amazon had this on sale at a good price, and thanks to the furry little criminal's lack of opposable thumbs, there have been zero breakouts since installing it, and it's easy enough to remove for those late night snack or bathroom runs. It does seem a mite flimsy, but given there's four in a pack it should be easy enough to just get another one on the off chance this one breaks. Definitely would buy again if needed!

My mother bought these for her house for when we visit with my 1 year old, and they worked great! She has cabinets which have handles. After seeing how well they worked at her house, I bought some for mine without giving it much thought. When I got then in the mail, I went to install them and realized my cabinet doors have knobs, not handles. At first I thought “great, now I have to return these cuz my dumb a** forgot to look at what type of handles we had”. However I tried to install them just to see, and to my surprise they worked! As long as your knobs have a lip on them, these will still work! Very easy to install/uninstall, just squeeze the two tabs together and slide on or off. Very happy with this purchase!

Our first son was great, but number two doesn't listen to us no matter what, and just keeps going into all our cabinets and pulling everything out. We got so tired of constantly pulling him away from the cabinets and always having to keep an eye on him. This product did the trick. It's quite easy for an adult to use, and even for our 3 year old, but our 1 year old can't get into the cabinets anymore. The only annoying thing about this is having to bend over to take these off and put them back on again, but that's expected with any kind of safety latch I would think.

Works great, the material seems of good quality and they're easy to open for ''adults''.

Bought these as we have a 2 year old Granddaughter each week. So easy to just slip through the handles before she comes, no drilling into cupboard doors. I wondered if I would be able to grip the spring to open as I don't have much grip in my fingers, but can manage them no problem. Look good and do the job.
