Excellent product, mixed easily, dried quickly and machined well
Another save the day moment brought to you by J-B Weld. This product mixes easily and goes on with great control over where you put it. Roughed up the steel surface with a file and it stuck on there really well. Used it to create a tighter fit for a seat mount that had wallered out where the stem fit in. It was fully dried in an hour and I was able to ream it out to fit the taper of the stem using a Dremel bit. Worked perfectly and seems like it will last. Excellent product.

Great, unique stuff!
If you have a situation where you need to bond metal to anything, this is great stuff! It's like Play Doh, you mix two sperate but intertwined parts together by kneading ti, and then pulling apiece and using it like "Glue". It dries in 10 minutes and "welds" the parts together. No mess, no odor, no stain, no fuss, easy! The only thing to note is that you have but 10 minutes to get the parts together before the stuff starts to harden and is useless. But a bit of pre planning and this is magic!

Wow. This stuff works GREAT. VERY EASY TO USE. JUST FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. I REPAIRED A METAL OUTDOOR LAWN ORNAMENT. IT'S BEEN A COUPLE OF MONTHS AND IT'S HELD UP WELL. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

When they say it sets quickly, they mean it!
I have really come to love this epoxy putty. I’ve ordered it multiple times and it’s nearly always served its purpose pretty well. My only issue is how fast it sets. They’re not kidding when they say that it sets in five minutes and cursing an hour. So you really have to be prepared for exactly how you’re going to use it and you have to use it quickly or else it hardens up and becomes unusable completely. I do wish this had a slightly longer cure time just because there’s not a lot in the tube, so any that cures and is unusable is kind of a big loss. And, if you’re working on a project that is visible and isn’t going to be covered with something, it’s hard to make it look nice in the time you have before it starts to set. But, how many companies can say that their product sets in five minutes and actually mean it? So kudos on being honest and living up to your promises!

Stuff is great!
Needed to patch a leak in a motorcycle fuel pump assembly. JB Tank Weld is for metal, but SteelStik is for plastic and resists gasoline. The leak is outside the tank, but now it's sealed!

Very sticky to work with and hard to shape or smooth out
This JB Weld SteelStik was rather difficult to mix because it was so sticky. I wore a pair of blue nitrile gloves to mix the two parts together, which is a very soft sticky putty. It takes some manipulating as it sticks so badly to the gloves, but I do recommend wearing gloves. I can't imagine how hard it would be to get off of your hands. I only needed small pea size amounts to fill in holes on the bottom shelf of a metal plant stand I also ordered on Amazon. I don't know why the plant stand had these extra holes but since I am planning on putting the plant stand / shelf outside, I didn't want water to get inside the metal tubing and rust it out. Also, I didn't want any ants or other bugs making a home inside the tubing. Previously, I had used a sanded caulk to fill in the holes but that wasn't quite what I was looking for, but at least the rough texture of the sanded caulk gave the SteelStik putty something to stick to. Otherwise it was not sticking to the smooth metal of the tubing that the plant stand is made out of. Because it was so sticky and was sticking badly to the gloves, it was hard to get it smoothed out on the holes. Please note that when it says you have about 3-5 mins of work time.... they mean 3-5 mins of work time before it hardens quickly. I could actually feel the heat coming off of the small marble size piece I was working with and pulling small pieces from it to fill in the holes. Needless to say, I didn't get all the holes filled before it harden like a rock. So, I tried again but with smaller pieces and tried to work quickly to get the holes filled in as best I could. Because I had to kind of over fill the holes, I'm going to see if I can file it down some. At least the dark grey color matches the plant stand well enough. Oh, and there was a little bit of an odor, but not too bad. Photos show what the gloves looked like after use, the small marble size that dried too quickly for me to finish what I was working on, and how it looks on the metal plant stand. You can see a raised bump.

Worth very penny/cent
We had a radiator leak from top and when we took it off the wall, we saw it was leaking from bottom. received this and applied to the top and botom and works absolutely well. and it heats the same level. This product can easily be used for products reaching as high as 150 degree heat. Very impressive loved it.

Super

Strong, Easy to Shape, and Ideal for Repairs
I've used various liquid metal and epoxy repair products over the years, but this SteelStik is one of the easiest to work with. Being a putty rather than a liquid, it's much simpler to mould, shape, and press into place, especially when repairing awkward shapes or filling gaps. Once mixed, it has a good working time and can be formed exactly where it's needed without running or dripping. After curing, it becomes extremely hard and feels very strong and durable. I've used it for automotive repairs and general workshop jobs where a strong metal-like repair was needed, and it's performed very well. It's particularly useful when you need to rebuild small areas, fill damaged sections, or make repairs that would be difficult with traditional liquid metal products. Overall, a versatile and very strong epoxy putty that's easier to use than liquid alternatives while still providing an excellent repair. Highly recommended
