Very nice rolling suitcase
This is very light, like super light. I'm a bit of an extreme packer and bought this recently for a 2 week business trip to the tropics (yes I know, it's a tough job), packing mostly shorts and t-shirts with a few short sleeve shirts and slacks for meetings. I rolled everything and here's what I managed to pack into this suitcase (mind you I didn't want to check anything because I had to take 4 planes and each layover was under 90 minutes so I was concerned about the luggage not tracking along): - 15 t-shirts - 15 pairs of underwear - 5 pairs of socks - 2 pairs of slacks - 5 pairs of shorts ranging from medium length to cargos - 2 jersey polos - 3 button down short sleeve shirts - 1 lightweight hooded Columbia rain jacket - 1 pair of dress loafers - 1 pair of lightweight flip flops - 2 USB/AC power bricks (small but still, extra stuff!) I packed a small toiletry bag in my backpack. Once done the lid had to push a bit (not like sitting on it or anything) to close. Zippers held very nicely. I was a happy camper though I couldn't wedge another item into the suitcase if my life depended on it. The suitcase rolled well over tiles, street, and light carpeting. However, the one thing I noticed is when I dropped my backpack on top of it, it had a tendency to tip over. This could be because my backpack was fairly heavy with laptops and electronics, but it never happened with my last suitcase. Overall though, it was a pleasure to use, a breeze to throw up on the overhead on an international flight, nobody questioned its size, and I had all my stuff with me when I finally got to my hotel. Let's see how long this lasts. I travel frequently for business, so will update back after a bit more use. For now I'm a satisfied customer.

Decent quality
I bought my wife this bag but the 28" checked bag back in 2017. She loves it for when we travel. She likes how easy it is to move around an airport or cruise terminal. So when she got back from her last cruise where she also had to fly, she mentioned about not having a good carry on bag. I looked for a carry on that would closely match what her 28" bag was. I was pleasently surprised to find they are still making her model, so I could get the exact matching bag in a 20" carrly on. She was estatic when she opened it for Christmas.

Samsonite Winfield 2
• • • UPDATE 2, THE REVIEW STRIKES BACK • • • It is now June 2022. I survived the pandemic, partly by continuing to travel very infrequently. But friends, when I do, I still use this suitcase. I've probably made 10-15 trips with it total, and it has continued to hold up perfectly. HOWEVER, the price of it—with no obvious improvements—has gone up by a ridiculous $95 since I purchased it five years ago in March 2017. That seems pretty crazy to me. • • • UPDATE 1, RETURN OF THE REVIEW • • • It is now April 2019. I've used this suitcase three more times since I wrote the original review. (I never travel.) It's holding up very well and still working as well as the day I bought it. The outside has gotten a bit dinged up but that has zero effect on its usefulness. I continue to wholeheartedly recommend this suitcase for casual travelers like myself who need a nice, no-nonsense spinner bag. • • • ORIGINAL REVIEW • • • I ordered this suitcase just prior to a week-long trip to Arizona. I traveled by plane, using this as a carry-on with United. It fits within their carry-on guidelines. PROS: - Shockingly spacious inside given the outside measurements! Several helpful doodads (interior zippers and pockets, straps to hold down clothes and other items) to help me cram a ton of things inside -- enough for a packing-heavy lady to travel for a week with two pairs of shoes, several different outfits, and toiletries. - Extremely convenient four-wheel design. I had never owned a suitcase with this option before and I will never go back to two wheels. This completely saved my arm/shoulder walking through the huge Phoenix and Denver airports, especially with a full messenger bag tucked over the top handle weighing it down. - Gorgeous color. I got this in the purple shade, and it truly is a sight to behold. Easy to distinguish in a crowd. - I am 5'4”; and not particularly strong; I had no trouble lifting this in/out of overhead bins or on/off escalators. - Strong, easy-to-close zippers and super convenient locking mechanism. CONS: - The suitcase can be difficult to maneuver on four wheels at times, especially when I had the messenger bag resting on top. It did tip over once when I was a little too overzealous. This issue did not come up anywhere near frequently enough to cut a star but is worth mentioning. - The beautiful exterior does seem to scratch rather easily. Overall, I strongly recommend this suitcase to any casual traveler searching for a spinner model. I love it and I hope you will too!

Great construction, sharp look, holds up after 60 flights.
Great look, packs well, dissimilar to other luggage. We have 6 of these, both carry on hard cases and large check size. I occasionally check the bag when it's free at the gate. Thanks to my credit card, I get a free checked bag, so we always check the larger versions of this when we are on extended travel. The only issue we've experienced in over 60 flights last year was the bars of the handle became bent due to the gorilla baggage handler. I opened the case (easy to access because of the zippered liner) and made a fix by hammering and straightening the assembly. Overall, the carry on hard case is ample for 4 days of clothing (haha...it *can* be done if you're a good packer). Wheels and case have held up well, there are scratches that turn out to be plastic rubbed onto the finish that comes off with a cleaner like goof-off or just glass cleaner. Easy to tote around the airport with a soft case on top, and the case fits easily down the seat aisle rolling on all 4 wheels. [Update]: Still working great after 4+ years and over 1000 flights now. It shows wear and tear on the wheels, but it looks practically brand new. Zippers, Lock and handles all working fine... I traveled 20 weeks and over 60 flights last year with this little case, for what it's worth I'll pass on a few hints I use to pack if anyone is interested... -Pants, large items...fold them in as large an area as possible to fit in the case. The fewer folds, less wrinkles. -Underwear, Undershirts, socks, etc...don't fold small. Layer them on top of other clothing in as large and thin a layer as possible. -Dress shirts: [Have cleaners] use heavy starch, fold in 3rd, and layer alternating collars and place in zippered top section. -I pack dry toiletries in a clear sided pencil case, and all 3oz. in a heavy duty zippered freezer bag. -Carry toiletries and liquids in a soft carry on to avoid spills and save space..eases TSA process. -Pack hangers and hang out clothes, unpack as soon as possible. -Purchase a few zip-lock style shrink bags. I don't use these to pack GOING, I use them to store worn clothes for the trip BACK...amazing how much space they create when packing to come home. Easy to 'vacuum' seal by covering with a hotel pillow and laying on it to remove air. -Bring a few plastic shopping bags (wrap your shoes) and also protect clothing from spills. They come in handy in CA (no bags at grocery stores!) -I carry a back pack to house my iPad, MacBook, toiletries and a few snacks + a collapsable water bottle I fill just before flight...I try to put my shoes and at least a days change of clothes in case I check my hard case carry on and they lose it! Hope that helps, or perhaps there's something in there you can use to add to what works for you.

Great durability and performance so far. Highly recommend if you travel often!
My husband travels a lot for work and previously had a suitcase where the wheels just couldn’t handle the wear and tear. We decided to try this one, and it’s been a huge improvement. This suitcase has been on many trips now, and he hasn’t complained once about the wheels—they roll smoothly and hold up really well through travel. Great durability and performance so far. Highly recommend if you travel often!

Great Carry-On That Rolls Easily
I've had to replace some older carry-on pieces since the airlines continue to shrink the acceptable sizes for the carry-on luggage. Spouse was an airline employee for many years so we traveled extensively. Always had a rule that there was one bag we NEVER were separated from. This piece easily holds four days worth of clothes, especially now with lightweight advanced material shirts and pants. Even if the airline lost our checked baggage, we would be able to survive with this one carry-on piece. The inside area is roomy considering the size of the luggage. One side has a zippered flap that holds all the folded clothes securely in place. The opposite side uses elastic straps with a plastic buckle. I'm liking the design and used this extensively on trips to Europe. The only thing I miss on the newer designs is an outside pocket that gives me quick access to certain items, but I think the overall luggage design trend is moving away from that concept. Would buy this again if needed.

No warranty info. Zipper pull broke. #FAIL
Zipper pull fell off. No info on warranty or repair. Frustrating for a name brand to fail. For that I can buy the cheaper no name brand. Not overused, but broke easily.

Pretty nice carryon
Overall, I like this carry-on. I think it is well built and sturdy. It rolls easily and fits a decent amount of stuff in it. I was hesitant about only rating it a three, but I also did not feel it deserved a four either, more like a 3.5 in my opinion. I have two complaints. Number 1 is the zipper that covers items on one side... it is either missing a piece, or this is a poor design. I attached a picture to show what I mean. Without the missing zipper part, it makes it very hard to zip up and down. The way the zipper is sewn in, it looks like the missing part would be on the inside part of the zipper anyway if it was there, but its not. The only way I was able to unzip the zipper was by using my thumb on the zipper part showing, and forefinger inside on the bottom part trying to zip it up and down. My number 2 complaint are the size of the humps on the inside where the retractable handle parts are stored when retracted. They seem overly large and take up a lot of the interior room inside the carry-on for the size of the extendable handle, robbing some of the storage space in my opinion.

Good quality
Bought this for 389 dhs in 2021. Few scratches are there but all good so far. Used 2x a year on trips.

Durable, Lightweight, and Perfect for Travel
This Samsonite suitcase is excellent quality—lightweight yet very durable. The hardside shell protects belongings well, and the wheels roll smoothly even on uneven surfaces. The interior compartments make packing easy and organized. The handle feels sturdy, and overall, it’s a reliable choice for frequent travelers. Stylish, practical, and worth the price.

This time I went with the had sided and it was the best move I ever made
I have always bought samsonite and always soft sided. This time I went with the had sided and it was the best move I ever made.It is very rigid construction and well made .Compared to soft sided cases it is much much lighter. It weighs almost nothing when empty, yet it is very strong and should last a life time.
