My favorite color/dye
I can’t say enough good things about this hair dye. The color is amazing and vibrant and lasts me well over 2 months. Touch ups are easy. It smells heavenly, and my hair feels soft. Only downside I’ve noticed is those parts of my hair get really frizzy and I’m not sure if it’s from the dye. Either way second time buying. I tried brand mondos brand first and it was TERRIBLE. This brand is so much better.

Pink, purple and blue on un-lightened brown hair!
I've used another brand of vivid dye on my brunette hair for many years, and I was pretty happy with it. But when I suddenly could no longer order it, I was forced to find a new brand, which stressed me out! I found this brand and after poring over reviews, I decided to risk it and pulled the pin. The shipping took weeks for two of the three colors, which was frustrating. Once they all arrived, I set to dyeing the next day. My hair is medium brown and does not get bleached, lightened, blow dried.. nothing. Just plain, brown, pin straight hair. I have always used color depositing dyes in bright colors over my dark hair, which I fully EXPECT to not give the same result as they would on light colored or bleached hair. Bleaching is simply not an option I choose to expose my hair to despite my love for colored hair! The first thing I noted when opening these dye tubes is that they smell fabulous. Not a chemical smell, not a salon smell, just yummy. I did my usual sectioning into three parts, blue on the bottom, then a layer of purple in the middle, and pink on top. I like having no distinct root line, so I use my finger tips and sort of do a fine, graduated fade into the color over a few inches away from the roots, so my roots are my natural color and the pink dye gradually fades in over the first few inches down. The color was easy to apply and I used about a half tube of each on my hip length hair. I left it on for an hour or two until I was ready to shower. The dye did not stain my white sink or my tile shower, and it was easy enough to clean off my skin and nails. Seeing all the dyed water going down the drain is nerve wracking, not knowing if any color will be left in my hair once I'm done. But I rinsed well, wrapped my wet hair in a towel and went to bed with another towel over my pillow. The next morning, I had only a tiny bit of colors on my hair wrap towel, and none on the towel covering my pillow. The color on my hair once or dried was fun and beautiful. I only wash it with shampoo once or twice a week, and do my best to baby it. It does continue to bleed color when I shampoo it, but it doesn't bleed color at all anywhere else, like on my clothes or pillow. The color has lasted for about a month so far and still looks really nice. The blue tends to fade into the purple, so the pink and purple are the most noticeable, but you can still see all three colors depending on how I style my hair. I'm pretty happy with this dye considering that it offers the colors I want, it's easy to find and order, the reasonably decent price, and the staying power of the dye. I think I'll be using this as my new go-to color from now on, although I'll definitely need to order it well before I need to restock since it took a full month for some of the tubes to be shipped/delivered. Photo attached shows my natural brown color at the roots, and video shows the three colors after two weeks and two washes.

the PERFECT pastel pink that doesn't wash away immediately
i love this dye so much, it's the perfect shade and it's pretty neutral/almost cool toned which i love, and in my experience it doesn't fade fast at all! i would just recommend leaving it on for more like an hour+ if you want it to really stick extra long, but either way it's good. however, these reviews have me IRRITATED...you see how they specifically instruct you NOT to use the dye on any level other than a very light blonde? yeah, your hair is turning out badly because you're using it on hair darker and more yellow than that...the recommendations are THERE FOR A REASON!, you probably shouldn't expect your hair to magically become lighter and more toned when you put a pastel color on it just because that pastel is modeled on hair that is that light, you can't expect it to look good on the wrong base. it won't cancel out or lighten anything, it's just gonna layer on top! end of my little rant, but i feel like this is not talked about enough. bottom line, if you have very light hair (like level 11 or a little bit below) that isn't yellow, don't be scared to buy this, it'll work super well! it might be a little bit brighter than what you might want immediately after dying if you leave it on too long, but give it a few washes and you'll be very happy!

the BEST dye ever!!!
my absolute FAVORITE hair dye. i always get so many compliments on how vibrant the color is and people telling me that they love it. i always come back to this color and brand, no matter how many different ones i've tried. the smell is so good, with no chemical twinge to it or anything like that. there is minimal damage done, if any at all other than the bleach i use (not GDY brand). it makes my hair feel soft afterwards and not crunchy or dry whatsoever. it is pretty easy to get all the staining out in my experience, and as long as you wash your hair minimally or with cold water, the color lasts forEVER! when it does start to fade in between dyes, i'll use a color depositing conditioner but i don't need it often. i will one thousand percent keep purchasing this hair dye for as long as they keep making it! i recommend it to everyone who asks me about how i get my hair color or for suggestions for dye. i would rate this dye 10 stars if i could!!!

Hair dyes decent
Not the color I was hoping for but it goes good with the pink. Yellow doesn’t hold past 2 weeks but the pink fades pretty

Color attained Not great Conditioning amazing
Bought 4 of these to make sure hair was coated completely. Results were not that. Color was pretty where it took. Hair feels amazing due to conditioning factor of the product, felt like I was just applying a hair mask. As for the color results I’m not impressed for the price I expected more reliable almost salon grade results . Level 11/10 blonde hair product should have taken amazingly. Left on bout 45 min if you count the 15 min of rubbing into hair making sure was covered and then the 30min just sitting processing. A great product if you are going to do the most damaging application of bleaching all the hair pigment out of your original darker/darker hair then applying. “” color does Not Last long! Even if not washing daily it’s out of hair rather quickly. Been week and half and can hardly see color.

First time buying GDY on amazon, but a repeat GDY customer!
Dyed my younger cousin's hair for the first time with this color. It was just the underside of the back of his hair, but the way he grinned from ear to ear and laughed in excitement when he saw his reflection was worth the bleaching, failing, washing it out, blow drying it, and then applying the dye. Did I mention how hydrated his hair felt after washing out and drying the dye? So great!! I am not a professional AT ALL, by no strech of the truth nor imagination, but I have been bleaching and dying my dark brown, 3C hair to Daenerys Targaryen of HBO's Game of Thrones blonde since 2010 in order to achieve crazy colors in my hair. So when my cousin came to me asking for my help with his hair, I gave him the disclaimer I give everyone I help ("I am not professionally trained and everything I have learned is from google, YouTube, and through trial and error. Buyer beware at their own risk.") Then when he still was willing, I asked for him to send me AS MANY REFERENCE PICTURES AS POSSIBLE that are of his hair type and his hair style / cut, and then we ordered the dye. I absolutely love the variety of options every color of the rainbow this brand has, how potent their direct dyes are (direct dyes as in you don't have to mix it with something else first to activate it, you just open the dye and put it on the hair -- but I cannot stress enough, bleach and tone your hair first please), and how consistent and even the color is as it fades! This is the sixth GDY color I have used and honestly, I don'y think I'm ever looking back. I used to be a die hard for a lot of different colors and dyes over the years, but GDY really seems to have the most variety and diversity in their colors, the most ease of application, the most pigment in the dye itself (without being carpet dye -- looking at you, Splat), the most conditioning blend, has clean ingredients, is vegan, is cruelty-free, and from what I can tell they are not hypothetical in using AI like Manic Panic 😵💫

I hope I can give a positive update...
I'm going to open with the fact that I've been dying my hair silver to deep silver / gray for about 10 years. I've had disasters, masterpieces, duds... This is the unique combination of two of those that I like to call DisasterPieces. Positives: 1. Very affordable. Which makes it very attractive; there was a deeper shade called Killswitch that I perceived to be a perfect (as it appears on screen) to be the same shade as my now-discontinued favorite semi-permanent color. This seems like a dream come true, practically impossible. Remember that adage, if it seems too good to be true it's probably not? Stay tuned 2. It arrived the next day, a day earlier than it was anticipated. Which hardly ever happens anymore. 3. Big tube of product in a kraft brown and glossy box, clearly denoting The name of the color of the name of the product with information about the company, the box was in perfect condition and the tube inside it was properly sealed. As I am a 53-year-old child, I opened it immediately, sitting in the yard. I wanted to see it in the sunlight. 4. So the color on the screen was identical to the color I previously used. The color on the box was a little bit more blue, like if I tilted the box a little bit and hit the sun I could see the blue base. Which is cool, it's better than seeing a brown base (for me), but I can tell you for sure I was not expecting a navy blue underneath all that dark silver. 5. The product is smooth, very creamy, it is not terribly staining in terms of my cuticles or other parts of my body, but it's heavily pigmented. It appears from the tube to be a black based dark silver. Which is exactly what I wanted. Telling myself that perhaps the photograph is a poor representation of the product, I proceeded. I was very excited. I lightened my hair from dark blonde to maybe a level seven, I shampooed and dried it, and I waited until the next morning to apply the pigment. Since it's mostly a pigment with little to no chemical assistance necessary, I applied it thoroughly all over my very short hair and put a processing cap on top for good measure and proceeded on with my morning. I left it in for maybe 2 hours, which is no big deal when you're talking about pigment without process: In other words, I didn't have to use any peroxide or developer when I got to the color stage, so I felt comfortable leaving the dye on for as long as I needed to. It didn't need to process - it just needed to stain. It felt good on my hair, it felt great on my scalp, it has this pepperminty sort of scent to it...I could feel it cooling my scalp which was nice. I don't like things that have too much smell and I was able to pretty much forget about it and it stayed moist because I put the processing cap on top. I rinsed it thoroughly per the box instructions and I did not shampoo it. It was very dark, almost black, but I knew (or at least, I thought I knew) that once I washed it, it would lift a shade off and probably be the dark gray that I was looking for. *I would add this: I missed some spots, so I knew I had to go back and fill in but my hair is really thick and I have this problem sometimes... This is not representative or a characteristic of the product at all, it is simply my application for lack thereof. I decided to wait a day, I applied a light layer of pigment to my hair, filled in the spots that I had missed the first time around waited about an hour, and I washed my hair. Because I was expecting it to lift to a slightly lighter shade of dark gray. Nope. I now feel very silly and I like I need to go to some kind of music festival with a bunch of other 18-year-olds. Negative: This is all one negative. Which kind of makes-or-breaks it, but I'm going to try to give it a another try tonight. The color falls out and goes from very dark gray - nearly black - to bright blue, lighter than navy (think Walmart-uniforms blue). I have a lot of experience coloring my own hair, I've been doing it for 35 years now, gray is my current age-appropriate funky color of choice. But it's been I Love Lucy Red, it's been crayon red, hot pink, periwinkle, teal, platinum, you name it. I have had what they call party hair since I was a young person. And this is not the first time nor with the first product. But I really, really loved this whole thing until I washed it. And it now looks ridiculous. Since there was such a large tube of product, I'm going to give it a light soap cap using just 10% peroxide and Dawn for 15 minutes and I'm going to dry it and try it again. And then I'm not going to wash it with shampoo, which I usually never do, but when I do I don't usually have disastrous results. Wish me luck.

Color Doesn’t Last and Roots Barely Cover
I was excited to try this hair dye, but I’m really disappointed. The color barely sticks to my roots, leaving them uneven and patchy, and even on the rest of my hair, it fades much faster than I expected—just a few washes and it looks dull and uneven. I was hoping for vibrant, long-lasting color, but this product didn’t deliver I gave it two chances fail each time

Good stuff
Good colour. No staining on my hands or anything else after washing/applying. Happy with the product. Colour is more blue than green but I find that's the case with most deep greens.
