My car doesn't have a cd player, so I bought this thinking I could use it as a replacement. But I haven't figured out a way to get it to play thru my audio system. The volume doesnt play loud enough to be heard over road noise, so it doesn't do what I had hoped it would

I am impressed so far. I haven't used it that much so I can't tell about the durability, but it has quite a few features and the sound is very good. It's heavier than you might think maybe not a unit you'd want to carry around if you're exercising or playing but to put it down somewhere no problem. I'd like that it has rechargeable batteries. The two stereo speakers sound okay but for long-term listening they might over time be tedious. Of course it sounds better with an external speaker but the built-in speakers are adequate. This is my opinion I paid for this product and there was no compensation.

I'm using this to listen to audio books. It definitely serves its purpose.

If you want to feel like you’re in the 90’s again, this is the thing for you! I recently had to get a new-to-me car after a freak accident totaled my old one. I got a 2018 Mazda3 and they don’t come with a CD player, as most cars don’t anymore. I still have a pretty big CD collection and several of them are ones that aren’t available in any digital format or on any streaming service (owning physical music is great for exactly this reason!) I wanted to be able to listen to them while driving and was shocked to learn a product like this still existed! It reminds me of when I bought my first car (a 1986 Escort GT) and it only had a tape player, so I used the cassette adapter on my Discman to be able to listen to CD’s. The Discman sat on my front seat riding shotgun like the good little mobile DJ it was. If you’d have told 1994 me that 2025 me would be doing almost the exact same thing, just minus the cassette adapter, I’d have found it hilarious! I still find it hilarious—for all the advancements we’ve made in the technology department, sometimes old school is just the way to go. I was really surprised at how great this sounds and it’s so easy to use. I just plug it into the aux port and then go to the aux option on my car’s music screen and it plays over my speakers. If you’ve got a car that doesn’t have a CD player but you still want to enjoy your CD collection, this is a great option!

My 14 year-old granddaughter wanted a simple and portable CD player. She didn't care if it had Bluetooth, and this one doesn't. Bought her the ARAFUNA CD player in silver. Key feature is the builtin speakers. Sound is nice. She really likes it so far; first day of use.
