Great quality
Excellent quality, out of the 25 pods, maybe 2 were smaller and thinner, the rest were plump, soft pods that were easy to slice in half lengthways and add to a bottle of 40% alcohol (brandy in this instance, but have used vodka previously). A large outlay but left to mature for a few months results in a 70cl bottle of home made vanilla essence that will last a long time even for a keen baker. Quality vanilla pods are not cheap and to get these at 80p a pod is a real bargain. I've been making my own essence for years and it costs less than half the price of the quality brand name ones. The vanilla smell was lush even before I opened the pack, and as there was a sticky residue in the empty pack, I spooned in some caster sugar and shook/rubbed it into the residue resulting in a couple of ounces of vanilla sugar.

Seems ok
Prefer the scent of Madagascar beans and they are overall better value. Yet to test these in extract, but seems to be decent quality.

Odd smell initially but give them a chance!
I bought the vanilla beans with the intent of making my own vanilla extract by simply slicing the beans along there length, and then fully submerging them in vodka. I was wary about the possibility of the beans being mouldy though, as I'd read some reviews from various similar products that mentioned mould, as well as some that mentioned the beans smelling strange. The beans I ordered looked just fine but when I opened the packaging, there was a distinct and unpleasant artificial plastic like smell.... it was almost like a vanilla scented cleaning product or something. The reason I'm writing this review is to say that if, when you open your vanilla beans, they too have an unpleasant smell. Then unless they smell of mould, I'd recommend persevering with them because, after a month in vodka, the odd smelling beans that I bought are now smelling absolutely wonderful. Far better than the cheap extracts you get from the supermarket. I'd say that the initial, unpleasant smell was actually coming from the packaging and the packing process. One word of warning though... it took quite a few washes to get the staining out of my chopping board, where I had sliced the beans open.

Full of vanilla flavour and beans
The best value vanilla pods around. The recipe for home made vanilla extract required 6 pods. I find these really great value for money as you get 10 pods. They arrive in a completely air tight sealed bag that has been vacuumed closed, along opening the bag a strong vanilla smell escaped the bag. They are currently soaking in premium vodka, and in 12 months time will have the most luxurious, pure grade vanilla extract, after a little shake once a week to release the little flavour beans. Would highly reccomend these vanilla pods to anyone.

Vanilla bean extract
I’ve used these lovely beans to make homemade extract so wasn’t too concerned with the size and plumpness. However, they are actually really really nice beans! Really good size, very soft and the smell is incredible! This may be my best batch yet, find out in 6-12 months

Mouldy and small
I bought two packs of vanilla pods to make some pints of vanilla extract. The calculations of how many each pint would need from the packs was based upon the weight given. They arrived, with one pack seeming fine and the other showing clear signs of mould on a couple of them. In getting an idea of how to distribute the weight evenly, since some were naturally bigger than others, I discovered that the weight given includes the weight of the plastic, which didn't even including that reach 60g all in all. This surprised me because almost everything I'd looked at clearly stated that more than 10 vanilla pods are sold by overall pod weight because of their inconsistent sizes and individual weights. I had assumed they picked 25 pods that most closely matched up to 60g since no other weight is given. I bought another pack since the previous ones already ensured the pods would need to sit in the alcohol for a year, and that too had a number of them with mould. I would say around 1/3 to 1/2 of each pack was filled with some combo of very short, very thin, dry pods. Most places recommend about 10-11 pods per pint of alcohol to make extract, you're likely to need 15-16 from this pack to meet that same weight, and also would have to commit to letting the pods sit there for a year or more to have a chance of getting the same flavour a more expensive and higher quality bunch might give. The only reason this doesn't merit it a 1 star is because, wondering if I'd been cheated of my money for a weight it hadn't been, I looked up the cost of vanilla pods in 2022 per kg and discovered that the cost of these pods (had they been 60g) was about 80% of the lowest estimated cost (it's currently on sale, but has also been on sale every time I've bought it). All in all the cost only makes sense if the pod weight is about 48-50g and given that a profit needs to be made you're likely looking at closer to 45g of low quality pods to get the actual bang for your buck. Despite that, I only gave this 3 stars for value for money because all that doesn't change the fact that a number had mould on them, and in my opinion many of the pods were still lower quality than even the cheap cost calls for. Even though home-made vanilla extract doesn't call for high quality beans, I still would recommend something a level higher than this.

Bekomme davon entsetzliches Hautjucken.

Delightful, delicate scent from these B-grade, Tahitian beans. They are different from Madagascar kind, still very much vanilla, but without the heavy bourbony scent. They were vacuum-wrapped, plump, very nice beans. Fast delivery. Thank you! Made today, I cut the beans in half and split them down the middle before dropping them in the bottle to sit for 12 months to infinity. Retop the original vanilla beans with vodka as you use it up over the years to keep the cycle of extraction perpetual. Great present as it keeps on giving. (At the time of purchase, in May 2021, in Canada, these 25 vanilla beans made me seven-and-a-half 16-ounce bottles of vanilla extract for 150 dollars. If I had bought 7.5 bottles at Costco for almost $40 dollars a piece, it would have been 300 dollars, so it's a good savings to make your own. It cost: Vanilla beans, $49.99, two 1.75 litre bottles of vodka, $49.99 +49.99 = approx. $150 instead of 300. You might say, why on earth would anyone make this much vanilla extract? The truth is if you buy smaller quantities of beans and vodka in smaller sizes, half the amount costs you 33% more, and so it's better to just do this amount and basically never buy vanilla extract again. You can give a bottle to someone you love and save them the cost of vanilla extract in perpetuity, too. Vanilla beans are the bean seed pods from Orchids, which only flower one day per year and need to be carefully hand-pollenated, so it's great they can be reused because they so expensive. Also, my American friends can probably cut my total cost by another 3rd because American liquor is usually 1/3 to 1/2 less expensive that in Canada, ergo they can probably make this extract for 65%-75% savings rather than the Canadian 50% savings shown here.)
