Bianyo Black Art Pen Set - 12 Assorted Sizes Fine Line Drawing, Upgraded Pigment Ink, Water-Resistant Archival Pens for Artists, Crafters, and Journaling

I saw these fine liners used by Lindsay the fruglecrafter on YT- there’s a reason why we both purchased these sepia fine liners! I love these fine liners! They are just as good if not better than the well known brand I’m sure everyone know which one I’m talking about! I do not start a watercolor picture/wash on the picture without these pens! They definitely enhance my artwork & help me set an outline as to where I’m painting without it being smeared or mix into the paint like pencils normally do, changing the intensity of the pigment. If you’re interested or thinking about it, go ahead & buy them especially if you’re looking for sepia instead of getting a big set of various colors like me! They are well worth it & great price compared to other brands!

Very nice quality set

The sepia color is hard to accurately reproduce in the ads, apparently, but the ad photo above with the vase of flowers showing framed sepia ink drawings on the wall has the nearest to actual ink color, I believe. It is a mid dark grayed-Brown Sepia - not orange or sanguine as some other pens have. This traditional Sepia color ink is very like Staedtler's pigment liner ink. Glad to see Bianyo's entry into this ink color with such a nice set of pen tip sizes. Ink did not smear and did not reactivate when wet, so it works for my drawings. Only time will tell if there is any problem with fading, but they are off to a good start. ****Would have rated higher but for missing pen. That's unacceptable and decreased the value. Have not used them long enough to have another reason to be unhappy with what I received EXCEPT for a pen missing from the set - the largest tip brush pen BM! The brush tip BS is a bit stiff, but will likely relax with use.

These are wonderful and saturated. They came in a pouch, which was a bonus as you can throw in a bag and take with you. The brush-types are on the stiff side but make a varied line. They are (if they are, indeed, lightfast as stated) on par with Pitt and Sakura lightfast pens. One should note they have considerably less ink than Pitt pens because the barrel diameter is significantly smaller, but they feel nice in the hand and perform well... The smaller sized technical pens look visually to be very similar, but think of them as having multiples when you run out. It would be nice if they were sold individually, but at this price point, you can just buy a duplicate. Really happy with them. Note, I am a fine artist using mostly high-end, archival products, but always looking for a bargain.

These fineliners are incredible. I’ve owned several sets over the years from Micron to Copic and these are my favorites by far. I love the variety of thicknesses and nibs you get. I have a pen for whatever I could need. The ink flows well and seems quality. I also love that they come with a little storage bag. You absolutely cannot beat the price of these.

I use this for doing line and wash on my watercolor painting. Nice variety of sizes and nice value.

This is an edit to my original review. I originally bought the 9 pc Sepia Set. I see those aren’t sold like that now. After leaving the first review, someone from the company contacted me. They offered a refund and a replacement set of their newest version. I had to wait until they were done with production, but communication was great. I got the new set a few days ago. This set is a 12pc.-.005/.01/.02/.03/.04/.05/.08/1/Small brush/Medium brush/Small Calligraphy/Medium Calligraphy. I’ve just finished testing them. I love the new ones. The color IS different. They are more of an actual sepia/dark brown tone than the first batch. The ink is fully saturated in every size pen. Much better than the original set. I’m not a professional artist, but I do like to use these types of pens in my artwork. Customer service was awesome. I really appreciate them taking the time to make things right. (Original review was for three stars.) I’m not sure if it’s the brown color, the ink or the nibs, but these pens do not have the same saturation and quality of a different brand I own with black ink. You can see that the smaller the nib the lighter the ink. It should be thinner lines, not extremely lighter ink. They just seem dry.

This is my first time trying this brand. Some pens dry out pretty fast. Maybe this is a fluke. The pens that do work give off a nice, deep color.
