Savory Spice Tomato Powder - Dehydrated Tomatoes for Paste & Sauce (3 oz)

The good: bright color and excellent flavor. The not so good: First picture is how the seller shows the product. The second is how mine looks. Even though the jar was properly sealed, the contents were caked into one solid chunk. I had to dig out the chunks with a paring knife to make the second picture. Obviously, the jar's shaker top is completely useless. But even this isn't all bad. The high level of natural sugar in tomatoes, especially fructose, draws water from the air, so manufacturers usually depend on additives (silicon dioxide, for example) to keep powders flowing. This product has no additives, which some people may prefer, but it does mean the product is subject to caking. The product should last if it can be kept dry, but that will be all but impossible in a humid climate (or steamy kitchen).

This, is a fixer. I’m surprised at how much it fixes without calling too much attention to itself.I’m getting this from now on.It’s great. The experience of buying and receiving it was great as well.
