Review after 10 months
After having this since June of 2024, I can attest that the build and durability has held up! Compared to the starter buttons, the doorbell has kept up with a good volume, great durability & functionality even when my dog's smacked it hard a few times out of frustration of my dad maybe not reacting to her (if i'm unable to take her out right away) and it was SUPER easy for both her and I to use. I honestly just started with recording my voice instead of the doorbell sound, Everytime I went out specifically to take her to potty (not just go outside) I'd press the button and walk outside. I'd encourage her everytime she wanted to interact with it and within the same week she was using it consistently. Even if sometimes her button usage tempers out she continues to use this one everyday. This is SUPER helpful, as when I first got her last year in February I realized she'd just stand at the door and stare at you (or whine) which isn't super visible in the doorway if its dark or you're not looking. She's a quiet dog in general and had to learn to come get you instead of just standing unnoticed. This button has helped meet her needs and make sure she isn't ignored. I keep this closer to the doorway but plan to search for a ringer with two doorbells that ring throughout the house so I can always hear her even when we move into a bigger space. Worth the investment especially if you want to use more buttons!

Too large for 12 lbs dog. Probably be great for a dog 30 lbs and up.
They are a little harder to push than I was hoping. I have a small dog that can’t really push them but that’s my problem not a product problem. They work well. Easy to set up.

Great for training
I bought this for my new puppy so he could press the button whenever he needed to be let outside to go potty. With some easy treat reinforcement and training, he started using it on his own in no time. The battery lasts forever, I haven't had to change it once in the last 2 years. It comes with a sticky patch on the back to make sure it stays next to your door or wherever you decide to place it. You can select a pre-recorded sound option or record your own sound/voice on this. Mine says 'Outside, please!' in my voice so my dog understands what he's asking for when he presses it. So affordable, perfect size, very durable, will last a long long time.

Works perfectly as a potty button
I can’t believe this button was less than $10. It is top quality. Also super durable as my dog just loves to hit it over and over when I take too long to get to the door. It is very functional and I love how it gives my pup a “voice” so he can tell us what he needs. It uses two command like adhesive strips to stick to the wall and is very easy to remove if you need to change batteries or re-record the message. The noise level is perfect and I can hear him hit the button from the second level of my home. We use it as a potty button so being able to hear it is a must. 10/10 would recommend and I even think I’ll be buying a few more so we can teach him some other phrases to use.

Sound Quality is "RUFF"
I originally bought this doorbell to train my dog to use it to signify to go outside, however she did not like it. But despite that, this does work quite easily, however you pay for what you get. The sound quality overall is very crackly and flat in general when you record your own voice. The doorbell is also quite high pitched in a sense. The speaker reminds me of what a toy would have for quality-wise. The button itself is also a bit hard to press down for smaller dogs so it may give them some difficulty. I would recommend this if you want to test to see if your pup will respond to button and sounds appropriately but I definitely would not use this for long term.

okay so it works......
so i had originally got this back in 2021 from petco for my new black lab to use to let me know she needed to potty. She is now going on 2yrs old and still thinks a faint whine is the way to tell me anything and everything but she is a good girl and does not mess in the house.I tried to teach her to use this doorbell forever but she never seemed to understand. However, the first time I pushed it my cat picked it up in no time and started ringing it to go on the back deck. I recently got another black lab puppy and he, like my cat, picked it up after 1 time of showing him how to use it!! BUT.....NOW HE JUST RINGS AND RINGS AND RINGS THE BELL ALLLLLL THE TIME!!!! So he picked it up a bit too well..He understands that the bell is to go outside but does not understand that it is to go outside to potty not go outside to potty or play or retrieve a stick etc. If I am getting ready for work in the morning in my room while he and his sister are out in the kitchen, he will ring the bell just so that he can get my attention and I will come out of the room and stop what I am doing. SO what i am saying is that yes this is a good product but be aware that if your pet picks it up you may get VERY ANNOYED on a daily basis!!

Nice
Bought this a years ago and trained my dog to click it when she needs to go outside. It has been working perfectly every day since we hung it up!

Not suitable for small dogs!
Not suitable for small dogs! You have to use a lot of pressure/pounds to press button! Does not go off my nose or lick! Don’t waste your money!
