Rugland 5x7 Area Rugs for Living Room, Vintage Washable Area Rug, Burgundy

I bought this rug in several colors in sets of multiple sizes of the 3ft round (they don't sell anymore), 3x5, 8ft runners, 5x7 to 9x12, for every room of my house, little by little, shortly after construction in 2023. I loved the way each one looked and felt and how easy the smaller ones were to throw in the washer and dryer, but I absolutely hated the fact that these were so thin you couldn't vacuum them with even a low-power stick vacuum! My Robot vacuum was the only thing that could pass over them without getting stuck, but even that became an issue over time. After maybe a year, I noticed the ones I could fit in the washer started to separate the top fabric from the backing. I was able to deal with the separation because it was just a runner in my laundry room and the small 3x5's for the vanities, no real foot traffic across those. You obviously could not use a rug cleaner on these either, so I would drag the 5x7-9x12 sizes outside at least once a month (I have 5 dogs), do a light pressure wash, squeegie the excess water, and let them sun dry for half the day. My last large rug cleaning weekend a few weeks ago had me losing my ever-loving mind as the Florida weather decided to be uncooperative, and my dogs decided that out of all 2.5 acres of property, they just had to run across my wet rugs in the far back of the property on the only large driveway area I have to lay them out to dry. I decided I just could not do it anymore with these rugs and everything they required to make them work, and started looking on Amazon for another brand. I ended up on these rugs again when I saw one of the new colors (deep gray), not even realizing it was this brand. I read the description of the new upgraded thickness and all-in-one padding. I decided to order a 5x7 of the new color to see the quality, and I was very pleasantly surprised! I can vacuum the new 5x7 with my Shark Power Detect Upright on the highest power with or without the beater bar activated, and the rug doesn't move at all! Also, one of our dogs had an accident by the door right on top of the new rug, literally days after I laid it out, and the liquid did not absorb immediately. I was able to get my small carpet cleaner and clean it right up. The pattern on the carpet is not the same as before. I'm not sure how to explain it, but it's visibly different and noticeably thicker, but not so much that my robot vacuum can't go over it with ease. I went ahead and purchased a new runner for my laundry room to check another color, and I have to say, I do not like the updated navy. The old color was darker and the pattern more distressed-looking, and the new one is much brighter, it doesn't even match the picture online. Honestly, the deep gray doesn't really match the picture online, but I do love the colors of it. I'm waiting for the deep gray to come out in 9x12 so I can get a new living room rug next. I'm actually excited to be able to use my large carpet cleaner (never used since purchase) instead of doing the weekend-long ordeal of pressure washing! I will be changing out all my rugs for the new upgraded versions, room by room, little by little. I'm curious to see how the small size will hold up in the washer with the new design. I'm happy to see that this company realized the complaints and actually did something to make it better. This is part of the reason I'm even considering buying all new rugs with them. First 2 photos are of the upgraded version rug in deep grey. 4th photo is the original version in grey you can see is thinner and has the backing that separates from the fabric top and is not very non slip. Last photo is the new version navy but unfortunately I don’t have a photo of the old version to show the difference in color but it is a big difference. Video shows vacuuming on high and low power and rug does not budge not even when I get the edge caught trying to record myself. I could never pass the vacuum on the old version like this without standing on it while using two hands and the vacuum shutting down after 1 pass because it sucked up the rug etc.

Pulled my whole living room together! So soft and the color is gorgeous. Be mindful the 9x12 rug is huge and will not fit in standard washer. It’s still easy to clean with carpet cleaner. It’s grippy so it stays down. I do have to put the corners down as my dogs speed past it. Nothing rug tape won’t fix. 10/10

One of my favorite purchases I’ve made on Amazon! The color is even better than I imagined and is perfect for what I was looking for. The material is very soft, but it is a thin rug (as expected since it’s washable) so I added a memory foam rug pad underneath.

This is a beautiful rug for an unbelievable price. It is a bit thin but feels soft underfoot and a good rug pad made a big difference. The navy color is rich although it is definitely not accents of green/olive/sage. More of a golden brown which was disappointing but still usable in my space. Overall I am satisfied.

Love this rug. Came folded. It laid flat quickly. Although it is non-slip. I placed tape at heavy traffic locations. I wanted the oriental pattern. Colors are as shown on website. Definitely recommend.

Really nice rug. It is soft and doesn’t move on the floor at all. I like you can machine wash it.

We've been using the rug for almost a year and a half. Daily traffic, humans and dogs. I just washed at the Laundromat for the first time this week. Initially, it looked good, was incredibly soft. It's on the thin side when compared to a regular carpet/rug but we have a heavy duty pad underneath so the difference is minimal at a glance. Because of the size and the pad, it doesn't shift around the room. I do find it hard to vacuum because it gets sucked up somewhat and it's hard to push my vacuum over it. It's possible a stick vacuum would work ok on it. I usually sweep it off. After washing, it's still soft, no issues noted from washing. My largest complaint which will get it replaced here shortly, is that there rug is basically compromised of two layers, the printed image on top and a slightly rubberized bottom. On our rug, the layers are no longer adhereing to each other and the top has stretched? There are wrinkles that can't be smoothed out. There are areas along the edges that curl up because the top layer shifts too much to the middle and pulls the bottom layer up. I try to hide it under furniture or hold it in place by rearranging furniture to hold the top layer down but we're still left with wrinkles, making it look sloppy. The rug isn't without merit. Maybe a living room is too high traffic? For the price, maybe replacing annually is cost effective? I'm not sure. We were very pleased with it out of the box. Now, not so much.
