Leather Furniture Repair Kit Dark Brown - 25 Colors Available - Original 8x11 - Dark Blue

I bought these patches after reading the written reviews, but also the pictures. The pictures are what sold me. I was a little hesitant because of the price, but I am absolutely glad I purchased this. I will definitely buy more for some other troublesome areas of my couch. I really wasn't sure which color brown to choose so I bought both "brown" and "dark brown". The dark brown is a perfect match. You can see both colors compared to my couch, but the "brown" one shows up lighter in the photo. It's not quite as light in person. I cleaned the area and cut off excess ripped material on my couch so it would't bunch under the patch. Make sure you completely decide on how you will apply the patch beforehand because the adhesive is very strong. I can't imagine trying to pull it up. I listened to the directions and rounded the squared corners and it looks great. Use very sharp scissors to ensure clean cuts. When I applied the first patch, I literally said "wow" out loud. Also, the two areas you see in the pictures, that's from one patch. I wanted to leave the seams of the couch exposed so I cut one patch into what you see in the pictures. The only suggestion I have to the manufacturers is to put a grid on the back white portion so lines can be followed when cutting. I need to return the brown patch still, so I can't say how easy it is to return. I haven't used the couch a lot yet since I put the patch on, but the adhesive is so strong I really have no concerns about it coming up. And the bottom line is it looks so much better than before, which is what I wanted.

The color was nearly perfect...just a variation difference of the same shade of green. The application was easy. I used another piece on the undamaged left arm so that it looked like part of the stitched arm covering design. It looks flawless. Great product. Update: The arm repair to our chair has not stood up well. The leather is too thick to be flexible and the constant movement of the elbow and hand has caused it to come apart. May be excellent in other applications but do not try to use it on the arm rest of an Ekornes, Stressless Recliner (Consol model). This was very carefully applied by a meticulous artisan and it just wasn't the answer.

I've got an old leather sectional. I love the thing. It wasn't all that expensive and the leather has begun to break down after a decade of me parking my ass on it every night after work. I have one spot where I sit and noticed recently that a hole had formed right where I lean on it with an elbow. Yeah, a little weird. So I looked on Amazon on my phone while I was out doing something else. I had some downtime so why not make use of it. I came across Pelle Patch's product, read the reviews and decided I'd try it out. Can't hurt, right? Picking the color was a bit of a pain in the butt. I was away from home and the options were odd toned. But when I got the patch in the mail, way more than I needed, it matched perfectly. Scary. Then I cut out the appropriate size and voila. It stuck. The repair patch has an industrial adhesive and is probably the next best thing to getting an upholsterer to tear it apart and sew something together. But it's not impervious to wear. My patch is sliding downward ever so slightly because, like I said, that's where I park my substantially large frame every night. But it's kept the dogs from tearing out the stuffing and it looks very good. My wife didn't even notice.

Update: Lowered to 3 stars. After 1.5 months, for the two places I used the Pelle patches on the sidearm, both patches are curling up and coming off suggesting not very good adhesive and durability. In fairness though, both patch locations are in awkward places on the side arm and that may have contributed to it. At some point I may try again with the MastaPlasta instead (which so far is holding great on the back). Original review: Extremely easy to use. It is not as thick as the MastaPlasta patches (which probably offer better longterm durability), however its lower profile/sleekness makes it blend in more easily and not seem as awkward. I actually had ordered both the MastaPlasta and this patch because I didn't know which would be best or the right color for my chair. I decided to use them both. In the before-after pictures below, the large main holes on the back were patched with the MastaPlasta and the ones on the side arm were patched with this Pelle Patch. Both came out alright but the Pelle Patch ones like I said are smoother and have a better fit. While they worked well for the side arm, I'm not sure I would have wanted to use the Pelle Patch on the large holes on the back because it is seemingly not as durable as the MastaPlasta and since that is a spot that's likely to have a lot of wear, I'm not sure the Pelle Patch would hold up as well for that. Then again, I really don't know and for all I know the MastaPlasta won't hold up long term either - time will tell. One other difference between the two brands: the MastaPlasta already has rounded corners so you don't have to cut as much. Since I used the entire MastaPlasta sheet for the chair back, this meant that I didn't need to cut any corners at all for it and could just apply it, whereas with this Pelle Patch I would have had to round the corners myself (which is extremely easy to do of course but perhaps not quite as professional looking as pre-cut corners). In the final analysis, I believe both patch brands seem to have their place and which one is "best" probably depends on the specific application. But don't be afraid to give this Pelle Patch a try.

One of my dogs chewed the top/back part of a short boot and I used this to patch it and it worked perfectly. You cannot even notice it when I have them on. The texture matched the finished grain of the boots very closely and it was rigid enough to replace the 2" on the top edge of the boot that was totally chewed off in the shaped of a wide "u" (I folded the patch over itself around the top edge of the boot and about 3" down the back of the boot, it is completely adhesed to the leather and to itself, there is no way it is coming apart and it is thick enough that when folded in on itself it is pretty stiff). I can imagine this would work very well for any grained, finished leather (what I mean by finished is that wouldn't match nubuck or aniline). LOVE IT and it saved my $350 boots! Just love when something actually works!

I am very satisfied with this repair product, close color match for our dark blue leather sofa with no loss of color on edging, nice feel and good adhesive properties. Because the vinyl was cracking between the leather seats and the limited access, I had to start on one end and gradually remove the backing paper as I applied the patch to the area. The task was easier to restore the appearance of the sofa than I originally thought it would be. Certainly worth the cost.

I really wanted this to work for me, but nope, it didn't. I had a couple not so big tears in my leather car seat from getting in and out for years. I ordered these patches, and the color and grain matched perfectly. I cut large sections so that the edges wouldn't be as likely to show, and also so that they went beyond the areas that get wear from getting in and out. I am an instruction follower, and let me tell you, nobody could have done a better job applying those patches. I was ridiculous about getting them on right. I measured, I smoothed, and my husband thought I was crazy for staying in my garage for a couple hours getting it just right. I even got a little Gorilla glue and put a bit around the very edges, just so it wouldn't have a chance to even start peeling. Well, you can look at my pictures to see what eventually happened. It looked really good at first and I was quite proud of myself. Then I started seeing an edge lifting up here and there, and I would just smooth it back down and pretend that everything was fine. Then one day, when I hadn't driven my car in a week or so, I went out and saw basically what the pictures show. I would say that the patches stayed on pretty much for about three or four months, as long as I was smoothing it a bit every day. By the way, it was during the summer, but my car stays in my garage, not out in the glue-melting sun. The white stuff you see in the pictures in the sticky backing from the patches. So not only does it come unstuck from your leather, but also from its own "leather". My car looked far better with the tears than like this, lol. Oh well, the search continues. I gave it two stars instead of one because the patches did match my leather so nicely, and also because maybe they do better on furniture than on car seats.

I have a leather recliner purchased over a decade ago that is super comfortable but got a hole in the top area right where my head rests. There is nothing whatsoever worn on the seat, back, arms, or foot rest. After going to multiple stores looking for a new one and not finding anything quite as comfortable as well as how my head and neck was angled to watch TV, I got a brainstorm to see if leather patches were available. Lo and behold there were a number of patches made exactly for what I needed and I got the 8 x 11 Pelle Patch in dark brown. The dark brown ended up being a perfect color match for the recliner color and I do mean perfect. I didn't cut it just for the size of the hole and used the entire 8 x 11 patch since it blended in so great. The original leather was soft and not drawn tightly on the back of the chair and head area which made me wonder if I'd have problems with the patch lifting or curling up like I read about in the review section from those with negative experiences. After ONE day it started lifting and curling at the corners and edges. It was disappointing because I didn't want to buy a new chair for somewhere between $1,700 - $2,300 and know they weren't as comfortable because I had already tested them. Then the second brainstorm hit. A number of months back I purchased something called Shoe-Fix Glue to repair a pair of shoes where the soles came loose from the bottom of the shoe. It worked like a charm on the shoes so I thought what if I tried it on the leather patch with the leather chair. BINGO! I squeezed a thin amount on a plastic knife and applied it to all the corners and edges and pressed down for about 15-20 seconds to bond and dry. All is now good and it sure beats a $2,300 expenditure for a new chair. If you go this route with the Pelle Patch or other brands, I would highly suggest you also purchase Shoe-Fix Glue at the same time, just in case.

Perfect for my purposes. The only thing I didn't like was that there wasn't a larger patch available. I used this to patch an entire seat on my couch, and so I had to use two. The seam is quite difficult to match, but hopefully it holds. We used one full patch and then cut the other to cover the remaining area. All in all it's a great product. Relatively simple to use and sticks well (I used it previously to patch another section of ther same couch). Stays where you put it and I've had no edges come up. Saved me a minimum of $500 in reupholstery. It's not like brand new, but unless you're looking for it its almost invisible. Would definitely recommend.

J'ai fait l'erreur de commander une seule grande pièce (patch), mais ai pu tout de même la tailler aux dimensions voulues. Le problème est que la colle du pourtour a tendance à ne pas coller. Afin de remédier à ce problème, j'ai utilisé de la colle contact puissante et le tout est réglé!

Réparation très réussie avec ce produit.
