Absolutely fantastic!

Ideal for what we needed

This umbrella is lovely colours - the combination of silver on the outside and beige on the inside is very attractive. The bright gold spokes and the gold-and-black handle are blingier than I would usually choose, but I still like the look very much. Functionality is all important, and the UV protection is UPF 50+, which means it’s ideal for protection against the damaging sun’s rays. It’s also effective at keeping you cool in the sun - the umbrella has a large span (see the product details for dimensions) and I was surprised how much cooler I felt under its shade. I haven’t been able to put it to the test in windy wet conditions yet. I see that they claim it to be windproof. For me there’s a couple of downsides: -it feels quite weighty: it weighs 388 grams without the sleeve. I think for carrying something around in the heat I’d like something lighter. But it’s understandable to need some weight for a multi purpose umbrella/sunshade. -It’s not automatic, and it’s quite stiff to put up, also (to a lesser extent) to put down. It reminds me of struggling with putting up umbrellas when I was a child, and being scared I’d trap my fingers! This may ease with use. It wouldn’t put me off buying it. Worth saying it looks nothing like as pristine as the product images, as the silver outer material is very creased (see my photos) and I’m not sure that’s ever going to smooth out? But I love the colours anyway. It also comes in a nice sleeve, which makes it good for gift giving. For me personally, the current price of £21.99 is a bit steep, but it’s nice looking and really does work in the sun.

First one wouldn't stay up as no pin so returned and ordered another as good reviews so thought I may have just been unlucky. Second one just arrived, exactly the same. As useful as a chocolate teapot!!!

Good looking parasol, fit only for sun protection. This product is not fit for rain protection, as the golden details will fade quickly when in contact with water. This umbrella open and close manually. This umbrella has a 2,layer cover, the top layer is silver and the undercover layer is the colour of your choice. These layers are not glued together, so an issue could present itself on windy days. The material of the arms is plastic and aluminium. I had problems to keep this umbrella open. This umbrella doesn’t seem sturdy but it looks good.

I used this the whole summer. Excellent sun protection, would buy again. This umbrella can take a bit of wind without bending. My partner also mistakenly used it in the rain, it worked fine 🙃
