Wow. Just wow.
I’ve pressed my luck over the years with a 24” case with no issues (I almost always fly First Class and FAs and GAs tend to look the other way for those of us spending the big bucks) but I’ve recently started flying out of cities that require bags to be placed in 23” bins. Obviously, a 24” bag sticks up and I knew I would get called on it sooner or later. So I’ll save my fantastic 24” bag for road trips and I bought this one for air travel. First, let me say the wheel design is incredible. It gives you an extra inch of room inside the bag compared to the 4-wheel bags. That might not seem like much, but when you are limited to 20 or 21 inches of interior space, that is as much as a 5% increase in space. It makes up half of the space I lost going from a 24” to a 22” bag. Second, I wasn’t sure about whether I’d find the garment bag feature inside useful, but I used it for a pair of dress slacks going one direction on a 4+hour flight and suit jacket jacket on the return and both came out virtually wrinkle-free. So, a winner there. I’m still on the fence about the floating insert at the bottom of the bag. I can see how it might be useful to separate clean from dirty clothes, but I use packing cubes and a dirty clothes bag, so I didn’t use it for that. i may find a use in the future. The outside pockets were of no use for me. I always carry a underseat bag anyway. I can see how the smaller pocket between the handle bars might be good for a pair of glasses. The real winner is the compression feature. I packed the bag in its extended position with a dirty laundry bag inside and just crushed it down. Viola! Legal width. Better than fighting with a zipper that breaks (I’ve seen this happen). The bag BARELY fits in a Delta overhead, wheels first, as long as you stay away from the hinges. I will have to wait to try on other carriers and in the new Airbus sideways configuration, but it should be good. All-in-all, this bag fits a LOT of inside space into a small package. It is extremely well-built, with a lifetime warranty. A winner bag.

Great carry on bag, the pack it, then collapse if it won't fit the form checker for size, is great.
I finally replaced an old Samsonite carry-on that had some nice features when it was no longer acceptable for overhead use in some planes, and found this as a replacement. it is crazy expensive, but has some great features for how it holds shirts and has a nice squarish size that can be easily packed when fitting shoes plus some other non-cloths items inside. The 'outside sleeve' power station holder is a nice touch, as is the little zipper pocket near the top that allows you to stash your watch/wallet etc. just before security screening. It only has 2 wheels so has to roll straight, but that is ok with me, because that is what allows the handle pieces to be outside the packing area, and provides a location for the outside power station carrier. Crazy expensive, but on 4 recent trips, 2 stateside and 1 to Europe, I saw multiple flight crew members using the identical bag, so that means it will last, or the company's warranty is good (no receipt needed for 10 years), or both. Solid build quality, and the backpack from the same company fits nicely on the extended handle, and balances very well.....no more worry about if it will all tip over. Very happy customer with a high quality product from a company that builds great products.

Terrific work bag for easy carry on
This has become my goto bag for rollaboard ease of business travel. My work bag fits nicely on top of this one. This one carry's everything I need for an overnight stay. The wheels are solid and sturdy. It's a very versatile back with a number of functions for single day trip travel, to expanding carry on space along with checked luggage. Strong value.

Great Upgrade - Worth Every Penny
I travel frequently and this is the second Briggs & Riley roll aboard that I’ve owned. The first one was older and only had two wheels, so it was a bit of a drag to maneuver. This new model with four wheels is a game-changer! It moves effortlessly and can even make its way down the aisle of the plane on its wheels—something I couldn't do with my older model, which had to be carried. Briggs & Riley really makes an outstanding product, and with their lifetime guarantee, I feel confident that this will last me for many years to come. My family has started using their bags exclusively when traveling, and we love the expandability of their cases. It’s perfect for those trips where you need a little extra room for souvenirs or items you pick up along the way. Highly recommend this bag for anyone who travels frequently and wants a reliable, durable, and easy-to-maneuver suitcase.

Great Quality, Flexible and Well Built Carry On
I took my first trip with this Briggs and Riley carry on. I opted for the (2) wheel as this is what I am used to. I was able to pack in a full 6/7 days of business casual clothing, extra shoes, jacket, etc. in this carry on and while it was full, it worked out great. The compressible side latches work very well. Everything seems very solid on the luggage. I was going to go with a competitor but decided not too as it seems all of their zipper hardware was failing. Not with this Briggs and Riley unit. Extended handle is solid, and the luggage maneuvered very well and fit just fine in the Overhead compartment of the Airliner. The luggage is a bit on the heavy side but I believe this is due to the solid construction. I have seen some complaints about rolling noise, but I did not notice anything unusual or loud with rolling the luggage at the airport, concrete, or other surfaces. It is a Keeper.

Excellent first impression
I’ve been shopping this bag class (Underseat cabin bags) for a ridiculously long time. I finally decided to give this bag and a competing bag a try. I don’t own any Briggs & Riley luggage, and I am a very frequent traveler, so my luggage and packing systems are robust. One of the questions I couldn’t find an answer to: does this bag’s interlocking handle system work with other manufacturer’s bags? It works flawlessly with my LuggageX checked bag, and it doesn’t align perfectly with my narrower Solgaard carry-on’s handle but I can make it work in a pinch if for some reason I had to stack those bags. The quality compared to other luggage in the category is incredible. I’ve handled the Samsonite and TravelPro bags in this category and there is no contest in terms of the “feel” of the materials and the quality of zippers and closures. This bag is softer, so I wouldn’t likely stack a bag on top of it. I’d hoped for a spinner, but ultimately decided on two wheels since I will be dragging this bag around on carpets, gravel, sidewalks, and between buildings, not just on smooth airport and hotel floors, so I’ll report back with an edit / update after I decide whether that was the right call (and after I get a few flights worth of confidence that it really does fit under seat consistently). By measurement, it should for the airlines I fly, but I am still skeptical. I was looking for a unicorn: a sturdy stackable spinner under seat bag, with convenient access during the flight (no hard shells), that would hold a 15.6” laptop, other electronics, and a non-travel CPAP plus my toiletries. This bag is not as sturdy and stackable, and it’s not a spinner, but compared to every other bag in this category, it’s the only one I’ve laid hands on that I really like and think I will enjoy using, so I’m keeping it even if it isn’t “the” unicorn.

European carry on size, but watch the weight!
I got this to replace a carry on bag that I use for US domestic travel. The old bag was a little too thick to fit in the test cage they use at the gate and I was always having to gate check it (it even got delayed one time from a gate check in Spain-thanks United). So this bag fits the maximum dimensions for European carryon bags, but be careful! You can quickly go overweight! The max carryon weight is 8kg (17.6 lbs). For my 2 week trip to Europe, the lightest I got was 12kg so I ended up checking the bag anyway. If you plan to carryon, maybe get a smaller bag so you are forced to leave stuff behind. If you know you are going to check your bag, get a larger one so you can take everything. Thus one gives you the option to lack light and have room to pick up souvenirs, but I didn't have the packing discipline and defeated the purpose of getting it. On the plus side, it rolls well and it seems to be well built. The zippers work smoothly and the expansion option really gives you a lot more room if you're checking it. On the down side, and the reason I took off 1 star is on the first flight with it, the button for the extension handle must have been bumped by the luggage handlers. It's now permanently deformed and at first was even stuck and couldn't release the handle. I eventually got the button working but it's still messed up (see pic) and doesn't give me a lot of confidence in it's long term durability. Luckily the bag claims to have a lifetime warranty so I'll be testing that out when I get back. Just bad luck I hope, but really, what are the odds that it would get messed up on the 1st leg of the first trip with it. Rough baggage handlers at SFO or IST (Istanbul)? One last item... I wish it had a secure pocket for an airtag. I have started using these for all our bags when we travel. I can't tell you how many times the airlines have sent my bags to the wrong destinations, sometimes comically bad! One time I went to Spain/Madrid. My bag went to Buenos Aires. Another time I went to Zurich Switzerland, my bag went to Hawaii. There should be a law that you get a round trip to where ever the airlines send your bag! Anyway, a small airtag pocket would be really appreciated so you could keep the airtag secure and be able to see where in the world your bag went.
