For starters, I’d like to say that I have a huge head and despite that, the hat can be adjusted to fit me. The weaving is surprisingly durable because I’ve worn it daily for nearly 2 years now, taken it everywhere I went and it’s still holding up strong. The brim is somewhat flimsy and the back of the brim is shorter on mine but it offers decent sun protection. For being a cheap boater hat, it’s fairly comfortable and looks good. Not a stretchy hat but like I said earlier, it’s adjustable.

I love hats. I have lot's of hats. Finally, hat's are starting to come back into style for men. It's one of the few fashion accessories that men have a lot of choices in and not just a beanie or ball caps which I associate more for children more than men. The Boater hat was common in the 20's. It's made of straw, so it's perfect for the summer because it's light, lets a breeze through while at the same time protects you from the UV light. It's unique in that the brim is supposed to be absolutely flat, similar to a Mountie's hat. It's colourful and can be worn in with dress or casual clothing. It adds a certain elegant look. This hat is well made, with a linen sweat band. it's comfortable. Light, and ships with a hard plastic insert that helps it keep it's shape during shipping. I say 'helps' because when mine arrived, the brim needed a little attention (and from the photos still needs a little flattening). There are tons of YouTube videos that show how to flatten a brim, but the basic procedure is to lay towel over the part that needs straightening, use an iron with lot's of steam and work slowly and methodically. In minutes your hat will be as flat as a pancake. It's light, just as it should be and a very comfortable hat to wear. I found the sizing chart to be spot-on. I would recommend this hat to both men and women and think it's a very stylish accent.
