Zastic! Laminated Periodic Table of Elements Chart - 9"x12" Chemistry Reference Poster Chart Cheat Sheet - Study Guide for Highschool and College

This was just what I was looking for to keep at my desk for reference. Rich colors, clear text, seems to be printed well, sturdy and laminated smoothly

When on Facetime with my 10 yo grandson I like to sneak learning in between games, in collusion with my scientist daughter. He liked building franken-molecules with a ball-and-stick kit, but this periodic table has helped him organize and internalize a lot of information (Californium is synthetic!) Minecraft has an element builder that he uses as well (choose p, e, n -> element). He is comfortable with the concepts, and has committed a lot to memory: e.g., he knows 'W' is tungsten, made WCl6 in Minecraft, knows several atomic numbers, and is mulling over electron shells.

The Zastic! Periodic Table is much, MUCH better than the (currently cheaper) 3 hole punched one designed to go in a binder. Zastic! actually used design to make the elements easier to read, and they filled one entire side of the chart with the very useful periodic table. I'm taking chemistry as an adult (in my 40's), so I'm a long time out of school. My professor asked us to download a periodic table app, which is useful, but my old eyes can't really see the tiny chart on my phone well enough, so I wanted a notebook sized version. Even though Zastic! didn't put 3-hole punches into this, it fits in the front slash pocket of my binder. It does stick out about an inch since it is 9x12 instead of 8.5 x 11, but I'm not too worried about that. The lamination is as thick as I expected it to be, and it is even around the entire document. My copy came nice and flat (not bent/wrinkled) in an Amazon box with some other items. I am taking CHE101, so no comment about anything other than legibility of the periodic table. Update 10/12/2023: I still wouldn’t change my order for this Zastic! Periodic Table laminated chart, but, on one corner, the lamination is already starting to split. I think a laminated chart should be more durable, though I don’t know of a better brand. I do use this chart daily to study and do homework, and I routinely cram it in a very full bag, somewhat protected by a binder, but one end always sticks out due to the size of the card being larger than standard USA letter size paper. I wish it were more durable, but it is still totally usable as a reference so I’m not decreasing my rating from 5 stars. If it wears out in any way that renders it not useful before the end of the academic year, I will lower my rating. Just be aware it may not remain pristine if you are picky about aesthetics and don’t baby your school supplies.

Got this at the start of the year for my high schooler and her teacher said that would be a game changer for the year! It's nicely laminated and bright colors with a font that is easily readable and light weight enough that it won't be yet another thing to weigh down their backpack. Size is a little bigger than typical spiral pages but my teen liked it because it sticks out a bit so easy to find in a hurry. Solid value for the price.

Pretty good chart, with equations on the back. Keep in mind that if you want to put this in a binder, you will have to hole punch it yourself and center it really well. It's just a little bit too big to fit in a binder, so be sure to center the overhang on the top and bottom so you don't end up with as much hanging out. Seems durable but I wish it was more binder friendly. This would work well in a trapper keeper or desk.

I don't think you'll need anything else for chemistry 1200-1350 if you buy this, has everything you'll ever need for college chemistry
