Much smaller than I thought
It was not the size that I expected however it is made of good quality material and knife is sharp enough to even cut through biltong with no struggle. Just not the commercial grade you’d expect but fine otherwise

Well made, but thr ease of use is flawed. However, as a guillotine it is very effective.
This an excellent product, well made with a really sharp blade, good guillotine action, and should last well. My only complaints are of the description given on the purchase page. There is only one blade (it only needs one and it is not replaceable but is very sharp and made of good quality stainless steel. It uses a similar cutting action to paper cutters with guillotine action. The spacing setting mechanism gives only an approximate result. For example, with mature cheddar cheese and set to 1mm, the slices are 2 to 3mm. It may be more accurate when using larger spacing but the fact that the mechanism to achieve this raises and lowers with the blade means that it is only partially in contact with food and accurate placement is a matter of judgement. I am left-handed and this makes it less easy to use and may bias my views. The safety lock is very secure but it is too tough to open and close easily and certainly not suitable for use with weak hands. Despite these (minor) criticisms, I gave 5 stars as it is an excellent product, and is well packaged, if possibly slightly over priced.

Great for charcuterie peeps
This works great for my charcuterie grazing spreads. You can adjust the thickness of the slices. It helps create more even slices than doing it with a knife. It's REALLY great for things like summer sausage too! With softer cheeses, sometimes the cheese sticks to the blade and you have to peel the slice off, but the even slices make it worth it.
