Excelente.
I have a small patio and for a year I have tried everything to reduce the number of slugs. There were evenings when I collected more than 20 slugs by hand. I tried everything and nothing worked, till I got this product. I haven't seen a slug in weeks with one single application. Yes, it is possible that this might attract some rats... But if you don't need to apply often I would say it worth it. Those little blue pallets they merge well with the plants I have. I have two kids and obviously we must to be careful where we apply the product but I guess that is part of the trade-offs to get rid of the slugs.

My Hostas’ Last Stand: Effective, pet-safe, and finally—hope! 🌿🐶✨
The Hosta "Hostage" Cycle 🐌 I’ve reached a breaking point. If you’re a Hosta lover, you know the pain: you invest your heart and time into those beautiful leaves, only to have them decimated overnight. I have tried everything—salt, copper wire, and every "old wives' tale"—entirely without success. I haven't the heart to invest any more into them just to see them shredded. This is their final stand; if this doesn’t work, the Hostas are being disposed of. 🚮 Safety is my Main Concern 🌍❤️ I refuse to use products that could harm the environment or the wildlife that visits my garden. Most importantly, I have dogs. 🐾 I was initially nervous about the visibility of the blue pellets, but the night I applied them to the pots, I watched my dogs closely. They had a good sniff around—they could clearly smell the iron—but they made no attempt to eat them and have shown absolutely no interest since. 🐕 Why I’m Hopeful • True Pet Peace of Mind: Knowing these are ferric phosphate-based and certified for organic gardening means I don’t have to choose between my plants and my dogs' safety. 🛡️ • Eco-Friendly & Nourishing: These don’t leave poisoned slugs on the surface for birds or hedgehogs to find. Even better, it feels good to know that as the pellets naturally break down, they actually nourish the soil, feeding the very plants I'm trying to save. 🪴♻️ • Immediate Protection: The "Stop Feeding" factor is real. The moment a slug tastes a pellet, it stops eating the Hosta. I’m finally seeing new growth stay intact instead of being turned into "Swiss cheese." • Generous Size & Value: The 800g tub is a really decent size. I have quite a few pots to protect, and this tub feels like it’s going to last me the whole season. A Few Things to Keep in Mind ⚖️ • No Instant "Evidence": Don't expect to see dead slugs lying around. They crawl away to die underground, so you have to trust the process and look for the absence of new holes instead. • Weather Watch: Although they are showerproof, I’ve found that after a really heavy downpour, you do need to check your pots and potentially re-scatter a few more. 🌧️🔄 • Mindful Application: While ferric phosphate is safer, I try not to go overboard to protect the soil’s natural earthworm population. 🪱 With this in mind, I’m glad to have my Hostas in pots, though I am still careful with the dosage as I know the pots will eventually drain into the soil below. ⚠️🚿 The Verdict (So Far) It has been a week, and for the first time in a long time, I’m not waking up to fresh destruction. If you are at your wit's end but refuse to use harsh chemicals that threaten your pets or wildlife, this is the answer. It’s the first real defence I’ve found that respects the environment while actually working. I’ll update in another week—fingers crossed for a full Hosta revival! 🤞

Good quality
Bought these are they are organic and safe to use for wildlife. Weather has been very dry but after hosing the allotment plot every other evening there has not been any slug or snail damage so would say they are working well and are easy to use

Provides long-lasting control
As a customer who has used PROTECT GARDEN Slug & Snail Killer Max, I am providing a review outlining the good and bad aspects of this product. The good: 1. Effective slug and snail control: PROTECT GARDEN Slug & Snail Killer Max is highly effective in controlling slugs and snails in the garden. The powerful pellets contain an active ingredient that attracts and kills these pests, helping to protect ornamental plants and garden vegetables from damage. 2. Organic gardening approved: One of the advantages of this product is that it is approved for use in organic gardening. This means that it can be used to protect plants in a way that aligns with organic gardening principles, minimizing the use of synthetic chemicals. 3. Easy application: The pellets are easy to apply, either by scattering them around the affected areas or placing them in slug and snail traps. This makes it convenient to target specific areas of the garden or to protect individual plants. 4. Long-lasting control: PROTECT GARDEN Slug & Snail Killer Max provides long-lasting control, keeping slugs and snails at bay for an extended period. This reduces the need for frequent reapplication and helps to maintain plant health. The bad: 1. Potential harm to non-target organisms: Like many slug and snail control products, there is a risk of harm to non-target organisms, such as beneficial insects or wildlife that may come into contact with the pellets. It is important to follow the instructions carefully and use the product sparingly and responsibly. 2. Persistence of slug and snail populations: While PROTECT GARDEN Slug & Snail Killer Max is effective in reducing slug and snail populations, it may not provide complete eradication. In areas with high slug and snail activity or during wet weather conditions, additional control measures or repeated applications may be necessary. 3. Attraction to pets or wildlife: The pellets may be attractive to pets or wildlife, so it is important to prevent access to treated areas. Store the product securely and keep it out of reach of children and animals. Overall, PROTECT GARDEN Slug & Snail Killer Max is an effective solution for controlling slugs and snails in the garden. It offers easy application, long-lasting control, and is approved for organic gardening. However, care should be taken to minimize the impact on non-target organisms and to prevent access by pets or wildlife. Following the instructions and using the product responsibly will help protect plants while minimizing environmental impacts.

It really really REALLY works!
'Protect Garden' is life changing! I used to lie awake in the early hours of the morning visualising the slithering gastropods munching their way through my last remaining & ailing cucumber plant (5 attempts! All destroyed!), decimating my young chrysanthemum plants and levelling my sweet peas. I would be compelled to be prowling my garden in my nightie at 1am armed with torch, tongs and the kitchen salt. The slaughter would be wholesale but so was the damage, and morning would reveal slime, monopod corpses and catastrophic devastation to cherished plants. I tried multiple brands of slug pellets (I could hear the enemy sniggering), ramparts, bastions, gloop, garlic water (I like how the French turned the tables on the rampaging molluscs) & rings of defence. Nothing held back the voracious hordes. Then I read the review from the fellow sufferer who said that "up to 90 slugs a night" would be extracted from his plants until he used this product. The next night - just a few and since then.... nothing. Nada. No slugs. No snails. With hope in my heart but cynicism in my head I ordered some - just the one (more money being thrown at the swines) - and duly scattered the small blue pellets. 1am that night - not a slug nor snail to be seen. Morning....no devastation. No damage AT ALL. A week has gone by and not one single gastropod. Not one single corpse either, not one damaged plant, no slime trails, nothing. They packed up their little suitcases and left. I imagine that my neighbour's gardens are now a wasteland but I'm sleeping peacefully now, and I am the one doing the sniggering. Buy it, it works, it really REALLY does. Not even nematodes were this effective. Just ordered two more containers to get ahead of the rush when this amazing product gets discovered. Certified organic, marvellous. I don't know how it works but it does. Its a small miracle but I will take anything that I can get. May even try planting Swiss Chard again next year.
