MOST RECENT DEVELOPMENT: the large burner just died! I contacted customer service because it is under warranty. Waiting for their response. UPDATE: I feel the same about this product a year later, as I did when I originally posted the review. One magic thing about it I didn't mention - the ease of cleaning! Unbelievably, whatever is spilled or splattered on it is cleaned EXACTLY as the manufacturer says - with a soft cloth! At first I didn't believe it, but yes, that all it takes - wipe off with a soft cloth and it's spotless! Whoa, what a surprise, a pleasant one for sure! This little thing brings water to boil in no time at all. Even with both burners on, food gets cooked quickly. The best part? Once the burners are heated fully and food cooks, you can turn it down to 2 (out of 6 levels) and it continues to cook perfectly. Works wonders with cast iron dishes. Both the burners and cast iron dishes retain heat and keeping on very low allows cooking to continue without spending too much energy! Steaks done perfectly: crispy on the outside and nicely rare inside, veggies stir-fried in no time ... I love it! Now, this has been just a few days, but used at least twice a day, let's hope it performs the same wonderful way in the long run. Another plus: kudos to the manufacturer: when registering the product you receive additional 6 months of warranty, extending it from 12 months to 18 months - nice move Cukor. Thank you.

When our kitchen was being renovated, I bought the Cukor hot plate with two burners. It has worked perfectly. It gets hot quickly and stays hot, so the food gets cooked properly. It is as easy to use as anything can be. Just turn the knob under the burner you want to use to high, and you are cooking in no time. It got the water boiling in my 8 quart pot about as quickly as my gas range did. The only issue is that the temperature is either high or off. Turning down the knob just turns the heat off. But that wasn't a problem for us. We just adjusted our cooking time and strategy. The hotplate is easy to clean, and after 3 months of heavy use, it still looks new, and it works just fine.

This product worked well. Prepared a lot meals. After malfunction occurred, spoke with Cukor support and the support is amazing. Received a new replacement within a few days. Great quality and investment. Highly recommended.

The item came defective. I took it to Cuba as a gift. When they opened to use it, one burner did not turn on. The burner that turned on has a crack on it. See the picture both burners turned high but only one lits as hot. I waited a little bit to see if it is just the light but it still didnt heat up.

This dual hotplate does what I need: it heats up quickly and handles two pots/pans at once without any issue. The build feels sturdy and compact enough for small kitchens or dorm rooms. The adjustable temperature controls give me fine-tuned heating, which is great for cooking different dishes simultaneously. My only gripe is that it takes a few extra minutes to cool down after use and the eyes are very close together making use of two large pots or pans almost impossible . Still, for the price and convenience — I’m satisfied and would recommend it.

Excellent burner. I use it daily to cook all of my meals. It heats up quickly (~5 minutes to boil water) and is easy to use. The large burner did die after awhile, but customer service was very quick to respond and help me replace it.

Works well, but arrived off balance. We had to put a plastic lid under one of the rubber legs to hold it level for use.

I bought two of the double burners in August one of them stop working in November. I was happy with the results until one burner stopped working I reached out to the company and I was told they will send me a new burner. Great customer service!
