We've worn through several manual can openers, to the point where they no longer worked. When I saw this GORILLA GRIP "Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Smooth Edge Manual Can Opener and Bottle Openers, US Designed, Soft Comfortable Handle, Oversized Handheld Turn Knob, Multifunctional Kitchen Tool, Black," it looked like it would be a sturdy replacement. So far so good! This can opener is easy to use, locks well onto the can top, and removes the lid cleanly. It seems nice and stable and does a great job without my needing to use too much effort. It fits well in my miscellaneous drawer. I'm pleased with my purchase.

Great inexpensive can opener that is versatile and will hold up well with multiple uses. Great grip as stated and built well. Not your cheap dollar store opener that breaks weeks after purchasing. Works well and would purchase again if needed, but feel as though this will last me a long time.

This is my second one of these openers in like 10 years and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone, but especially to older folk like myself that have issues with using manual can openers (or electric ones)! First off, it has an extremely sharp cutter head, and it stays sharp for a long time! The handles fit in your hands and do NOT require much strength or pressure to press together. Also, the turning handle that controls the blade mechanisms, is very comfortable and again, easy to use for even those of us that don't have much hand strength anymore. Overall, while I do have an electric can opener (Which I have grown to hate!), I find this one is simpler, easier and quicker to use by far!!
