Fantastic vacuum after so many duds.
This is such a fantastic stick vacuum. I have tried so many battery operated stick vacuums that are ok for quick jobs. They all miss the mark on cat litter and thick grout Spanish tile. This one is fantastic! Great suction and cleaning power I have uprights that are great but can't get under my couches and furniture I also have a shark canister which is fantastic but cumbersome for quick jobs. The lift away also Great but is also cumbersome for a quick job..but they are both excellent. This stick vacuum is the perfect everyday vacuum. I have wide and deep grout tile which is really a pain to clean. You have to fling sweep with a broom to clean it. Battery stick vacuums work OK but you have to go over it a few times on high...that means about 15 minutes charge time on most. I am so glad I went with this one The cord is long enough for me to clean each room I am in. The suction on my tile floors is AMAZING. The brush is great also. I could not believe one or two passes got my grout clean It's also super maneuverable, light weight and has fantastic attachments! It cleaned my area rugs far better than any of my other stick vacs. It was able to pick up kitty litter and cat kibble. My cat is awesome but he is messy. I am so pleased with my delivery, price. AMAZON is The Best! The reviews on here is why I bought this. I am so glad I did!

Two Cats, One Dog! Shark Wins the Fur War with this Powerhouse, Lightweight Stratos Stick Vacuum.
I bought this vacuum in December 2022, and it is hands-down the best I have ever owned. (See attached picture from May 2026—this is what it looks like after 3.5 years of heavy weekly use!) Managing a busy household with two cats and a dog means constant shedding, but this Shark Stratos stick vacuum picks up more fur and deep-down dirt than any other machine I’ve tried. It is an absolute powerhouse, yet incredibly lightweight. The carpet mode is a total game-changer; as soon as you push the button, the suction is so powerful that it feels almost self-propelled and just takes off forward on its own! Because it works so hard, I do clean the unit regularly, which only proves just how much debris it actually pulls out of my floors. While I initially tried the scented refills and changed the filters, I found the scents didn't add much value, so I stopped buying them. I also own a robot vacuum, but this corded stick vacuum is far superior—especially on my huge area rug. I highly recommend it to anyone dealing with pet hair. When I experienced a minor issue, Shark's customer support team resolved it instantly. That incredible service is exactly why I stick with Shark products for my entire home, including my kitchen (Ninja Pots, Pans, Air Fryer, Toaster Oven, and Coffee Maker.)

Definitely a worthy machine
I had a lot to consider with changing to this style of vacuum. I’ve owned Shark products for many years, and usually have really liked them all, even though aspects of them differed. The last upright I had did not propel forward much when using, so this model is drastically different when using the carpet mode. Imagine the image of the little old lady getting drug by the Great Dane across the yard .. that’s the pull this stick vacuum reminds me of. On one hand if you have a shoulder injury where pushing is problematic, this vacuum is great. On the other hand you better also be ready for it, because it’s ready to take you for a walk. While the majority of the cleaning aspects are just as top notch as you expect from a Shark product, the proximity to the baseboards seemed off, YET the ability and ease to effortlessly step on the foot pedal to detach from the base and easily take the suction wand to quickly use around the baseboards and corners is a guilty pleasure. The pet hair attachment was also an unexpected good surprise, with it working much better than anticipated. I like that there is a headlight on the base vacuum, which really helps you see if you’ve missed a spot. The debris canister isn’t huge, but I found it was a decent trade off to keep the vacuum lighter, and the more frequent emptying was just gratifying to see how much I was getting things cleaner. There are only two cons that could be improved upon, and one is the handle grip fit. While initially it’s fine.., after a considerable amount of time it was causing my hand to become sore (like when you’re doing yard work and the tools can rub a hot spot on your hand between your thumb and palm). My hand is average to smaller in size, so it’s just how it fits me. The other item is that there needs to be an elbow attachment for when using it just as a hand vacuum, otherwise you’re having to position the hand vacuum flat to get the attachments to suction properly, and not everything can be easily cleaned in a flat position. I kept thinking that certainly there should be an elbow type attachment somewhere that I missed, but I couldn’t find any.

Great Vacuum Cleaner for All Floors
This is a great vacuum cleaner. We previously tried a Shark Navigator, but found it to be very hard to push on carpet. My wife could not push it at all. Bear in mains that this is not a self propelled model. We tried bleeding off suction, and that did not work. We ended up calling Shark customer service and we were told that this model had a reputation of being hard to push on carpet. Wish we had known this information before we bought one. When we buy a vacuum cleaner, we want one that will do all types of flooring. This Stratos model is lighter and easy to push on carpet. Also works well on tile and hardwood floors. The only negative is that it will not stand up on it’s own, unless you lean it against a wall. That is a small thing and something we can easily live with. It does have a small container for debris, but emptying it is easy. The suction is good. No problem collecting just about anything on the floors.

One very disappointed Shark purchaser. Please read before you decide on purchasing this model.
I purchased this Shark vacuum as I have used them for years, but what a disappointment. I got it & was so excited I used it on my hardwood & tile floors it was awesome, my low pile bedroom carpet again awesome, then came my living room I made one motion going forward & there it was, red light glowing & it was like trying to push an elephant. I tried it again a couple of days later same issue. I turned it off and called Amazon they were very helpful as usual. They tried different suggestions & ideas when that didn't work they connected me with Shark. To my surprise & disappointment they informed me that this vacuum would only work while using it on bare and low pile carpet, & basically acted like I would buy another vacuum or replace my carpet & continue using this model. Well let me tell you, neither is going to happen. I want 1 vacuum that works on my entire home. So, after having to ask the person on the phone from Shark if she could possibly recommended a couple of different models, which she reluctantly did, that was that. Now this came from a third party so Amazon can only except the return in its original box, which like most people after a good 2 weeks went to recycling, so now no box. The representative at Amazon was fantastic, she spoke to someone above her and got permission for me to take it to a UPS location & they would box it up for me. Now at this point I don't know if this will cost me money or not, I'll find out later today when I go to UPS. I am writing this lengthy review because I hope it will help people looking at this item to decide if it will work for them or not. Don't get me wrong, I'll purchase a replacement & it will be another Shark, but I must say it would be really nice for the money we spend to vacuum our homes to show in the description that it will not work on a carpet with any type of pile, just bare floors & very low pile carpets. I hope this will help someone out there when deciding.

Amazing sucker
I realized that my vacuum cleaner was not removing enough dirt from the area rugs, as they were full of dirt when I turned them over. It was time for a new vacuum cleaner. I had a number of things that I wanted from a vacuum cleaner. After spending several hours of research on the internet, I choose the Shark Stratos stick vacuum. It has been amazing. I wanted a light vacuum cleaner with a power cord, that would really get my floors clean, could handle long hair and pieces of yarn and would get under furniture. I got all of that in this vacuum cleaner. I can no longer haul a heavy vacuum cleaner upstairs. At less than 9 pounds, the Stratos is light and easy to carry upstairs. I did not want to deal with recharging a vacuum cleaner, as I didn't want to loose power in the middle of vacuuming. This vacuum cleaner has a 25 foot long power cord. Perfect. I have one indoor cat, who does not shed too much. However, I have long hair, and I tend to drop pieces of yarn ends on the floor from my knitting projects. The technology in this vacuum means that hair and yarn ends up in the dust canister and does not wind around the roller. Goodbye to the nasty chore of trying to remove hair and yarn from the roller. I guess that the most amazing thing about this vacuum cleaner is that it really sucks the dirt up. I have sucked up an unbelievable amount of dirt in the week or so since it arrived. I usually don't look forward to vacuuming, but I love to see all the dirt that ends up in the dust canister. I also hate that all that dirt was hiding in my carpets and rugs. I feel that my carpets and rugs are finally free of years of accumulated dirt. This vacuum slides under most furniture, including beds. I no longer have to get out an attachment to, hopefully, get dust bunnies from under the beds, or move furniture around. I should mention that the vacuum cleaner works equally well on area rugs, carpets and hardwood floor, all of which I have in my house. There is switch that allows you to chose bare floors or carpets. If you have some smaller mats, I suggest that you put one foot on them while vacuuming or the vacuum will try to suck them up. I am really happy with this vacuum cleaner. I have used it every day since I received it, but my house is a lot cleaner and I am a lot happier. Update: I have now used my Stratos for 5 months. I keep the filters clean and make sure it is well maintained. It still works great and I now enjoy vacuuming.

I’ve spent 25 years buying the cheap vacuums. I realized how stupid this was both for my wallet and the environment. So I bought a Dyson. And after the Dyson battery died in ten minutes, I called customer service and they said it usually lasts 7-8 so ten was great! So I returned the Dyson and asked my friends with pets which vacuums they recommended. Across the board maybe 20 people recommended Shark brand with no allegiance to a specific model. They all had great things to say about every model they owned. Why I ultimately chose the Stratos: 1: I didn’t need a huge storage capacity. I only have one cat, no kids, and we’re relatively tidy. So the smaller storage canister didn’t bother me. 2. Convenience of being cordless was nice but thanks to the crap dyson I knew I’d rather unplug/plug in and maneuver a cord than spend time conning my executive dysfunction into vacuuming only to have the battery die. I don’t need all that. Give me the cord. 3. I don’t need a lot of attachments and what it came with was good enough for us. HOWEVER: I wouldn’t have been disappointed with one of those bristle duster brushes. 4. I needed something that was going to pick up litter and sand. This model has a stronger motor than other models, so I picked this one with the idea that more power equals more suction. Let me tell you how it has exceeded my basic needs and expectations: 1. IT IS SELF PROPELLED. Yeah. Did I miss that in the description? Because it is. It’s already easy af to use but on medium pile carpet it is so much easier than any vacuum I’ve used in my life. Ever. The inconvenience of it not standing upright on its own is offset by the fact that it is self propelled. It’s amazing. You don’t know you want it until you have it. Trust me. 2. This thing picks up litter AND litter dust that I couldn’t even see. Additionally, the suction doesn’t diminish just because you use an attachment. The angled nozzle is awesome for vacuum dusting around floor and ceiling moulding. The flat one is really great on the upholstered furniture and carpeted cat condo. 3. Speaking of seeing, it has a light on the front which is pretty rad. Especially if you’re using it on dark hardwood floors and you want the satisfaction of seeing the black cat hair get sucked up. It’s great for that. 4. It gets down low enough that I can easily vacuum under a king bed. 5. Speaking of — if you have say, a cat toy under your bed that you don’t know about it doesn’t try to suck it up. I mean it does, but it stops, you get a red error light, you turn off the power, remove the stuck object, in our case a 6” bunny toy” and turn it back on. It automatically stops turning the brushes so you’re not sitting there burning a belt in the 5 seconds it takes for you to compute what’s happening. What number am I on? 6? 6. It sucks the ground up through your carpet. I swear. It gets things the Dyson is too weak to suck up. 7. It’s not very loud. It’s a vacuum so it makes vacuum noises but for comparison my cat was terrified of our old school bissell vacuum, and did not enjoy the high pitched whirring of the Dyson. This doesn’t bother him. He’s pretty skittish and he’ll stay in the same room with it running. It’s quiet enough that I can ask Alexa to turn a light on or something while vacuuming. 8. The odor neutralizer — I don’t know if it *does* anything but it smells nice and that’s enough to dazzle me. 9. There is a little thing in the basket that is cone shaped. Maybe 3” long — hair wraps around that every time. Even long curly hair and cat hair. It’s designed that when you pop open the bucket thing to empty it the motion removes the hair wads from the cone. It’s smartly designed. 10. I have 3 carpeted rooms, two rooms with tile, two large rooms with laminate, and a hallway. The canister is more than enough to handle all of that in one pass. But I also am in the habit of emptying it every time I use it no matter which vacuum I have. I know this must sound like overkill but I spent a week going through like 60 different vacuums trying to figure out which one I was going to blow $250+ on. And I’m so glad I went with this one. I haven’t had to change the filters or odor neutralizer yet and yeah, boo hoo it doesn’t stand up so sometimes you have to inconveniently lean it against the wall and you have to store it with a hook or leaned against a wall but who cares if everything else is amazong? Just buy it.

I own a cleaning business, here’s how it went..
It was a fantastic vacuum suction was pretty great, HOWEVER, I ran into a few big issues within a year that led me to believe the vacuum was cheaply made. 1) The “carpet mode button” got stuck at times and would not turn on no matter how lightly or hard I pushed. I was never rough with the vacuum itself in any way and I never pushed the button so hard that it broke or anything like that it just didn’t work most times. This started happening about 6 months into using it. 2) Terrible canister design - although the suction with the floor brush roll was great I can’t say the same for the suction with the stick. When picking up smaller particles with the stick or the shorter “stick” on the canister, the particles would fall right out. I found my cleaners had the same problem with this as well. And finally 3) The “foot mechanism” that controls this vacuums function to make the brush roll flat to the ground before cleaning broke within the year. Final thoughts, I do own a cleaning business and maybe it was my bad for attempting this but I don’t think it should’ve had this many issues or broken the way it did within the year. I have used other vacuums with the step function and have had vacuums with buttons to turn on carpet modes and I have never experienced these issues. I understand this might not be intended for commercial use but it did work well until it didn’t so maybe it’s just me but user beware. Before this vacuum I used the Eureka Flash but switched to this as I thought it would be an upgrade. The flash I found to be very similar if not better with its pickups. Only con would be having to clean that brush roll often because of hair. Hope this helps y’all.

Perfecta.
Es silenciosa lo más que se puede en aspiradora, si cierras el cuarto, ni se escucha que estas aspirando. Es potente. Aspira muy bien. NO PESA. Ocupa poco espacio.
