Good enough. Somewhat cumbersome
Sturdy. Workable. However somewhat cumbersome when using it in the field on the go. Itโs a little bigger than I imagined when it arrived. Otherwise for the price itโs a good value.

Very nice, but a bit overpriced
This is my first monopod. I picked the nicest one I could find within my budget, and I have to say, this is nice. It is well built, well thought out, and useful. Every feature makes sense. My favorite is that the screw for the camera actually fits two sizes in one.

Very sturdy!
So far just the sturdiness of this is amazing. It'll hold my Canon EF 500mm prime lens with no issues. The 3 feet are a great accessory, I'm not constantly holding on for dear life! You can barely hold it and it'll be safe. Great value for the money!!

The aluminum monopod is very wobbly and not sturdy as seen on YouTube and read in reviews
The aluminum monopod is very wobbly. It's a decent monopod, but the weight capacity is not accurate and it should be used with very light camera setups or light fixtures. I would test it out and test out others, but I was very disappointed based on the reviews off and YouTube reviews. It's wobbly with a few nice options. I think if it was more sturdy and some of the design flaws were fixed it would justify the price. I plan to check out the carbon fiber version with the pedal release and see if that's better.

Sturdy, light weight aluminum monopod plus 3-footed base with smaller footprint than standard tripod
The iFootage Cobra 3 A180F monopod is made of sturdy and light aluminum alloy. It collapses down to 26" with the base and QR plate attached and fully extended stands at about 71" with QR plate (no fluid head is included). Note that the Cobra 3 A180F does not include the foot pedal (that would be model C180F-P) but model F does include quite a bit: >The monopod pole with 3 latches - The pole is adjustable in length and has 4 sections which lock down using 3 easy open/close latches (not twist locks) for quicker adjustments. > The standard base - Rather than the foot pedal, this uses a knob on the side to twist and lock the tilt angle of the monopod into place (it works just like a ball head). The three legs of the base are adjustable with 3 optional angles or positions. You can put each leg at a different angle to adjust for uneven ground. When stored, the legs fold up against the pole to allow it to fit into the included bag for portability. A handy feature of the standard base - - If you leave the ball head knob a little loose, you are able to rotate the pole as if you had a panning fluid head. > One Cobra Quick Release plate - You get one and you can easily get extras for all your other gear. Look for iFootage Cobra 2 QR plate which fits the Cobra 2 and 3. It actually has two screw sizes built into it, you just depress it down to get to the other size. > One rubber monopod tip - If you choose to leave off the base, you can still use this like a traditional monopod by putting the red rubber tip on the end of the main pole. > One plastic tool - It looks like a plastic ring that stays clipped to the pole for when you need it. It has a socket wrench in a size to fit the latches and tighten them up if they loosen, and it has a handy Allen wrench built into it. > One carry bag - The pole collapses to fit in the handy carry bag, even with the base and QR left attached. The bag has a handle and shoulder strap. The interior has a Velcro strap to hold the pole in place. The chief advantage of this monopod is the additional of a stable base that takes up much less of a footprint than a standard tripod. It is also light weight and if you are going to a sporting event where you need adjustable height, portability, and stability in a tight space, you need this monopod.

Entry level monopod with unique quick release system
This is one of the few monopods I've used that features durable metal flip locks. It also has a quick release mechanism at the top and bottom, making it possible to get low-angle shots with the tripod foot. I only have a few nitpicks about this monopod. For example, the monopod is relatively lightweight, but the tubes aren't very wide and the height adjustment isn't very smooth. Also, the tripod foot legs are difficult to extend; I might need to adjust the tension. I'm not a fan of the red paint either, as it scuffs and scratches too easily. Lastly, there are no set screws on the base to minimize rotation when attaching a head. Overall, the build quality is good for the price point, and the quick release functionality is definitely useful, but the tube sections could be wider and it's not as stable as it could be.

AN ABSOLUTELY STELLAR PROFESSIONAL MONOPOD
I've become a huge fan of iFootage gear over the years, and I own several of their products. They consistently deliver innovative, high-quality equipment, and this Cobra 3 monopod is another fantastic example. It has quickly become one of my most frequently chosen supports for video work. ๐ธ The design of the Cobra 3 series is brilliant. The quick-release system at the top and bottom is incredibly fast and secure, allowing you to detach the monopod from the tripod base in a second to use the base as a hi-hat or tabletop tripod. The aluminum construction is lightweight and it makes it very easy to travel with but it's also extremely rigid and stable when fully extended. The flip-locks on the leg sections are large and easy to operate. ๐ธ In use, this monopod is a joy. The fluid action of the tripod base allows for smooth pans, and the locking ball head lets you get stable static shots with a surprising amount of weight on it. It's the perfect tool for run-and-gun situations like weddings or events where a full tripod is too slow and bulky, but handheld isn't steady enough. It gives you that crucial third point of contact for stable, professional-looking footage. ๐ธ As someone who owns monopods from several of the other 'big name' brands, I can say this iFootage Cobra 3 easily competes with, and in some ways surpasses, them. The modular quick-release system is faster and more versatile than many others, and the overall combination of stability, light weight, and innovative design is hard to beat. I find myself reaching for this one more and more often. The Verdict This is a top-tier professional monopod that offers incredible features and performance. It's lightweight, stable, and the modular design is incredibly clever and useful. For any videographer looking for a reliable and flexible support system, this is an easy 5-star product. As an exclusive contributor to a prominent stock media agency with 25 years of experience in freelance photography and videography, I offer informed and professional opinions of camera and video equipment. I will update this review if anything changes within 1 year. A 5 star rating indicates the product meets my expectations for its purpose.
