Why does the listing show in the title that this sensor has 45mp, and in the specs and write up that it has 35.4mp?

If you buy EOS R5 from Amazon, the sensor resolution automatically diminishes to 35.4 MP because Amazon often sells used or refurbished cameras as new. It happened to me with EOS 60D over a decade ago and I never bought cameras or expensive electronics from Amazon since then.

will my EF lenses work on thi puppy?

yes but you will need an adapter that adapts the EF to the RF mount, I bought the basic canon adapter works great with my canon 24 - 105 and my sigma 150 - 600

Any updates on the overheating issue...(the firmware update did not eactly work)?

Yes the new firmware 1.6 fixes the overheating problem and fixes the 30 minute recording time limit

!! BEWARE !!

WARNING. Steer clear of this seller. I paid £2,755 for a Canon EOS R5 camera - BIG MISTAKENot until the camera failed 6 months after purchase and taking it to the Canon repair center did I discover-1. The camera had never been assigned a serial number or the serial number had been removed.2. This invalidated the default one year "Canon Warranty"3. The repair cost me a few pence under £500 to replace a failing PCB (motherboard)4. Missing serial number threw doubt over the claim that the camera was "NEW" and its authenticity. (had it been stolen?)5. Retrieving a serial number from the metadata of the photos, Canon advised me that the camera "was never intended for sale in the UK or Europe"6. Seller showed no sympathy - just simply stating that their (unpublicized) warranty of 3 months had expired.7. I telephoned Camix and asked to speak to customer services, but I was told "he" was away and would not return for three days.8. This case has been referred to the Canon European investigation unit who are keen to know where this camera originated from.
