Ultimate Book of Card Games: The Comprehensive Guide to More than 350 Games

This book may be small but it is packed with more than three hundred games to play. I bought it for my husband who loves games and playing cards. Since it's just the two of us, I thought we could find some two-player games. the book is organized by how many players there are, so we were able to easily find two-player games. My husband was amazed to learn games he had never even heard of before. We found the explanations to work well for us and we think this book is a little gem!

SELLER: Book came in perfect condition! Better than I expected for second hand, and they included a receipt. Would recommend them and would seek them out for future book purchases. PRODUCT: the book is small and detailed. Perfect size to keep with your cribbage board and cards. Great for camps, camping and emergency supplies, power outages/ hurricane etc. The book has various sections for 1-person,2-person and all the way up to six people, partner, pairs, kids, author recommendations. Each games tells you difficulty, game time length, and number of decks. Instructions are broken down to #of players, dealing, setup, game play, winning and variations. I personally love the variations part. Keep in mind some of the games you may know are an origination of another game… I love to play hand and foot but it runs out it’s a variation of Canasta.

The contents of this book are great. I've found it easy to read and understand, I have no complaints about what's in the book. It has an extensive number of solitaire card games, which is why I bought it. But the print quality is weird, and I had to go through the book and individually pull all the pages apart because they were stuck together at the outer edge in clusters. It doesn't seem water damaged, I think it's just a quirk of the coloration of the outer page edges. Otherwise, no real complaints.

If you enjoy card games, this gives you plenty to learn, plenty to play. There are some really good ones in here that my family plays quite often, such as Casino. Thank you for the collection.

The games were interesting and I was eager to learn, but I’m 83 years old and the print was so small. I struggled to read the instructions.

Spent a weekend in a Getaway tiny house in 2020 that had this book on the shelf, and I loved it, but forgot to write down the title or author, and have been looking for it ever since. Tons of games for one player to multiplayer, well explained, with some diagrams. Found the title/author by accident while surfing the internet for something else, but so glad I did and delighted it was still available!

I like cards, and I like uuuhhh... board games, so this book has been very useful for me. When in doubt, whip this thing out and have a deck of cards on standby, and you have enough to never get bored.

I like the way the book is divided into categories, but the 'easy' games l have tried so far have not worked and l don't feel the descriptions are complete. Hard to understand.

I was surprised by how beautifully presented this book is! It is a chunky hardback with colour edge painting on the pages. But, it is not just aesthetically pleasing: this book is a treasure trove of good fun! The instructions for the games are clear and well-written and I’m thoroughly enjoying learning about the wonderful world of unusual card games.

The set up of the various names of card games are easy to find by using the index. The writing is a little small. The card game I was looking for, was clear and easily understood.

Quality book with nice artwork on the chapters. Organised in excellent chapters, good glossary and nice background info. Best card book I’ve found for many card games. Book has a super feel and finish and is lovely to pick up and use. Plus it is a match in style and size to my Bar book, the perfect pairing, cocktails and card games. Recommend.
