These are a life-saver!
I love these things, I can finally let my pets anywhere in the house. Let me describe. We've rescued several animals. A few dogs, cats, etc. And Cat pee on the beds, torn up furniture, trash all over the house, grumpy dogs, dog fights, etc were the norm. I purchased one "disc" and the collar as an experiment and then within a week bought 3 more collars and a dozen discs. We now have nice furniture again, no animals on the bed, couch, or mugging people as they come in the front door. They stay out of the kitchen and the trash, and aren't allowed in the guest rooms. All without yelling. It's so very nice. The Good: They Keep the animals out of the areas you determine. There are both indoor and outdoor options and one collar works for both. You can set the areas for "A" or "B" so some animals can go places other cannot. (Think cats ok on the couch but dogs not) Discs are adjustable to different size areas. The Bad: Bulky on the collar, if you have a really thick haired animal you have to shave the hair so it makes contact or it's useless. No battery indicator, it'll just reduce range until it stops working, or works intermittently. The Verdict: This is the best thing to happen since the sliced bread my dog was eating off my counters. It has transformed my life. Has a few issues, but totally worth getting. Edit: We added some external antennas to the outdoor PawzAway boundries that we have. The only issue that we find is that if the area is too small, the range is either far to small or far too large, the between zone is tough to dial in. We are working on it and I will update if there are any tips I can come up with.

Broken after 1 year
We have 2 of these on our property. They are very convenient and work like a charm to keep our dog from digging. Unfortunately one of our units quit working after only a year. The other one we have is over 2 years old and is working like a charm. Pet Safe if you read this please be kind and send me a replacement :)

Wired or wireless, they work great.
This thing has worked so well that I now have 4. In hindsight, I possibly should have purchased the fence unit instead of the rocks, but even after buying 4, batteries and the collar, I'm still a little money ahead. (I found 2 of them on Amazon warehouse deals) And these give me so much flexibility. I don't use any of them for containment however. I have a fully fenced yard. I use these to keep the little sh## out of the flower and vegetable gardens and away from any potted plants. He really seams to enjoy eating all forms of flower pots..... I used the wire method on 3 of the 4, and will tell anybody who may be wondering, you can twist the wires like the fence system to create areas the dog can cross without correction. I researched for hours and never found an answer to this question, so I had to test it myself. On one of the rocks, I'm sure if I added the length of all wire as it makes it's loop and all the twisted wires that allow passage, I'd have more than the 100' maximum but it works as well as the others. (The other two have about 40' and 70' of wire.) Wireless, it protects a corner about 10' by 10' or so. I've had these installed now for about 9 months. They are all sitting exposed to light sprinkler spray and any rain that may fall here in the summer. I've never shut them off and the batteries are still good in all 4. Winter is on it's way and these will most likely sit in the same place through whatever winter brings. I'll update if I start to have problems. I do wonder if they can hold up buried under a foot of snow, but I've yet to have any problems with any of them.

Works well for the price
This product works. Could it be better? Absolutely, but there’s still not anything else on the market that beats it. So we keep fixing as needed. So it has a 12’ range. Essentially it’s 6’ in any direction from the rock. Not 12’ from the rock. Once they enter the boundary, it takes a few seconds before it shocks. Our dog likes to pee on the bbq pit. We had to move the rock about 4’ away from the pit so that it shocks him before he gets anywhere close. The smarter of our dogs doesn’t even need the collar on anymore. She sees the rock and stays away. We’ve used them to keep from digging under the gate. Worked great for that. I had the same issue with the collar another reviewer did. It didn’t turn on again after changing the batteries. We paid the $38 and bought a new one. Gone through a few over the last few years. They arent crazy durable and I’m sure it’s made in China. The rocks however are quite durable. I literally had to dig one out that had settled forgotten under a gate in water for months. Replaced the batteries. Good to go.

A real lifesaver...
And I mean that literally! My chiweenie is a great dog except for one thing: Every time our friends and family would open the gate to drive in, she thought it was great fun to rush outside and down the road, into the neighbor's yard, etc. Since we live near a busy street, obviously it was only a matter of time before my little darling was seriously injured or killed. Enter Pawz Away. I was a bit nervous to spend so much money since the reviews on Amazon were so mixed, but order it I did, read the directions, set it up exactly as described right next to the gate, then sat back to watch. Sure enough, as soon as that gate was open, she bolted for it. A couple of seconds later she yelped, then raced back to me with her tail between her legs. I petted and praised her, and ever since, she won't come within 20 feet of the gate, even after I removed both "rock" and collar. I have since bought a couple of indoor units to keep her from running upstairs into the bedrooms or being tempted by the food the kids leave on the kitchen table. The system has worked perfectly, the warning beep the collar emits was all it took to keep her away from the problem areas, she has never been zapped since that first time, and it is no longer necessary for her to wear the collar. My brother-in-law has since ordered a set for his stubborn German Shepherd, and I heartily recommended them to anyone suffering from doggie behavior problems.

Like the rock, not the collar
Great idea, but the collar that works with these rocks, continually stops working. Replaced the collar with new batteries, no luck. Bought a new collar, had the same problem. But these rocks, always worked when the collar did. Held up very well in all weather, and the batteries lasted a long time!

Works great with or without wire.
I have an underground wired PetSafe system already in place. (Ultrasmart PIG00-13619). I use two of these if two different areas: First, I use one of them with a wire to keep the dogs out of a large planting area (about 40ft x 40ft). I had to turn it up to the highest setting, but when I did it sent out a good signal that activated the collar well when the dogs got close. The batteries lasted about 6 months before I had to change them, which I thought was very good. I'm not sure why other reviewers had problems using the wired mode? Maybe wrong wire? I used 20GA Dogtek wire I also purchased on Amazon. Second, I placed one in the wireless mode into a small planting bed (about 8ft x 8ft). It also works well. I would agree with other reviewers that the radius of activation is a bit smaller than advertised, but it covers this area well when placed in the middle. I just purchased two more to use in other areas outside.

Range distance not as advertised
Works great when you hook up wire around area. Without wire, doesn't reach ad far as it is advertised to reach.

buen producto funciona mucho mejor que el mini, el envió muy rápido y la programación sencilla, y cubre una zona de mas o menos 3 metros a la redonda.
