Finally found the perfect lunchbox for my kid. Stainless is the way to go! I love the Bento Brand have always purchased their plastic style boxes until now. Better for your health especially for your kid. I will say filled or not this stainless steel has a little wight to it. My daughter barely carries anything in her school backpack when I place this it does make it a tad heavy. Definitely leak proof seals tight and even keeps the food a tad warm until lunch time. I love the squares but the fit is bigger than their original plastic lunchboxes. As long as you wash right away smell shouldn't be a problem - my daughter did forget once over the weekend but even then just the food residue smelled didn't effect anything else. Girly colors and easy to use 10/10 recommend!

Those needing a fully leak-proof box for soups may want a different style. Tip: Let the lid air-dry fully after washing to keep the seal working properly. This lunchbox is definetly a step up from the old model, I love the portion sizes, the slim fit, the latches are better, and it's all one piece so no extra pieces to clean! My son loves that it matches his lunchbag. It fits snug in thelunchbox,, but because it's thinner it still allows for ice packs or other things to go in with it. The only complaint my son had was that I put mixed fruit in the little silicone cup, and it leaked onto his sandwich in the same compartment. My fault, it was the first time using this so I wasn't sure how it would work. Next time I won't put anything liquid in that specific compartment. Otherwise, it was completely leak proof and kept the food good till lunch!

I was very excited to receive this product, after searching and reading for hours this was a brand that offered verified quality and safety, the first disappointment was when I took it out of the packaging, the size is so big that it wouldn't even fit in a lunchbox and extremely heavy for a little one in kindergarten, also a little complicated to open because the silicone compacts with the aluminum so you need to apply a lot of force to release it, and it is also complicated to close because you have to make sure you raise the lid before lowering it, too much for small children, the worst thing is that I paid $ 60 for this lunchbox and I received something that looks used, it is stained and although it is said to be stainless steel it has rust marks, really disappointed, I am returning it.

I love Bentgo products, and we own several of the plastic lunchboxes. This is our first stainless steel box. The height is not quite as tall as other models we've tried, but it holds a lot - sandwich (full sized) plus fruits and veggies. As opposed to the Fresh and other boxes, this one is leak RESISTANT - so no runny fruits without a silicone bag, etc. The coordinating utensils and water bottle are SO cute. My daughter has been the talk of the lunch table with her new lunchbox. The design printing seems high quality. The latches are very sturdy, and the silicone liner for snacks included is a nice touch. I'd purchase this again.

Has a good seal, we've not had any issues with leaking but the hinge requires to close a certain way or it won't latch and the paint is peeling off the top. We hand wash the lunch boxes so there's no reason this should be peeling. It's unfortunate because this seemed like a good option to reduce plastic use but now I worry about my kid ingesting paint flakes.

Love these boxes we use them every day and have never had a leak or issue! Definitely worth the price!

Good sturdy stuff

The stainless steel part of the received product has a large scratch, and the outer packaging box is also severely damaged. It appears that a returned item was sent out again. This product is not in a sellable condition and will be discarded. Replacement option is not exhist so need to return and buy again.

If I could give a 0 star , I would. I didnt expect to receive a used bentgo box!!!

Appears to be well made and hardy enough for kids to use for years.
