Healthy Meals For The Whole Family
I love this book! It really works for all of my family. The meals taste great. All nutritional info is printed. There are numerous pictures. All of the recipes I've tried have sodium content that meet my low sodium diet restrictions and still taste good to my kids and husband. The shrimp tacos on the front cover were a big hit with my husband.(I did use Mexican creama instead of sour cream). I made the Ginger Beef Stir Fry and the whole family liked it except one child picked out the red bell pepper and another one would not eat the water chest nuts but overall it was a really good meal. I like that the book has a variety of foods and uses common ingredients. Another nice feature is the "make it a meal" box on the page with an entree that gives suggested sides and desert to go with the entree. This book was just what I wanted.

Easy and Good!
I love this cookbook. I have high blood pressure and have used this for the past 2 months with my family. Every recipe I’ve tried so far has been excellent and easy! Quote from my kid: “This is the first healthy cookbook you’ve bought that actually tastes good.” They’ve got the combination of spices down in the recipes. Whole family is eating more fruits and veggies, less sodium, less saturated fats, and less sugar…and not feeling deprived. We are all active in sports and the meals keep us well fueled. Thank you AHA for creating this cookbook!

I really like it! Great Pictures. Good, Healthy Recipes.
I like the easy, tasty recipes in this book. I know my meals won't be too high in calories and that they will be healthy! I really like that they give ideas of what to pair with your main dish. I love the educational materials and pointers about eating healthy and several tips. It's very nice to have all of this information on hand. Great pictures. It's a great book. I really like it.

Heart Healthy Family Meals
This book is exactly what it promises to be. Full of healthy meals that most, if not all, of your family will love. We all have a picky eater in our lives somewhere but this book does a great job of covering all the bases. Ingredients are easy to find at any major grocery chain and cooking time is reasonable for a busy working family. This is not a gourmet cookbook, it won't take you to far away lands to please your palate, it is simple family cooking. I highly recommend this book for practical, down to earth cooking without the hassle of specialty prices.

Great Cookbook with Easy-to-Find Ingredients
My husband and I have loved cooking out of this cookbook so far. The things we like about them are:* The recipes are relatively healthy.* Most ingredients are easy to find or things we already have around the house.* The recipes appeal to a mainstream American audience. Healthy versions of chilis, pasta dishes, casseroles, etc.* Many of the recipes are quick so we can make them during the week.As someone who works full-time and is pregnant, relatively healthy, easy, and mainstream are what I need right now. I feel this cookbook delivers!

Fancy cooking
I am pretty simple in my food likes and cooking ability. This is for those with fancier tastes. There are quite a few suprises in the contents of the recipes. For instance, the brownies include a jar of pureed prunes (baby food). I have some food sensitivities, and I have to keep away from onions, peppers, and expecially cayenne. To be able to make most of the meals, I would have to leave out quite a few ingredients. I was really hoping that at least some of the recipes would be simpler meals. I neeed to improve my eating habits because of recently diagnosed heart problems. This is not the book to help me. It may be great for some, but not me. I am seriously considering returning it.

Healthy Eating for All
I purchased this in addition to other AHA cookbooks so that I could expand my selection of healthy meals with less forethought. This is a great book for family cooking. It is divided into sections for quick meals, longer prep meals, cooking once for two meals, cooking with kids, etc. Then most sections are divided by fish/poultry/beef/vegetables. My kids have loved most of the meals I have selected so far. It is also fairly simple to expand the recipes for larger families (we have 6).I have always been pleased with AHA cookbooks and this is no exception

Like new
I ordered a used book and it said there may be highlighting or writing in the book but it is a cookbook so I didn't think it would matter. The book I received is just like new. I am so happy.
