I think my older cable was starting to show signs of being worn out as the picture on my monitor kept dropping out. My monitor is an older LCD flat screen but with this new cable I can tell there's an improvement, so it was good idea to get a replacement after all.

Solid 15-Pin VGA Cable
This is a solidly built 15-pin VGA cable, ideal for any situation where you need to supply a 5V power flow on pin 9. I use this cable to supply the video signal and power for a VGA-to-composite converter for a MiSTer FGPA setup. It does an excellent job. The VGA video signal is clear as a bell with no noticeable interference, and the power supply to the converter is consistent. Overall, this is a good cable at a good price. It is worth a look.

Locking Screws Too Short
The screws that secure to monitor are too short in extension to bridge gap so if secure mount is needed this cod is not desirable.
