Excellent attic ladder! Very sturdy with a 375 lb load capacity, and the aluminum build makes it both strong and lightweight. The installation was straightforward, and it fits the rough opening perfectly (54” x 22.5”). Opens and closes smoothly, feels secure underfoot, and gives easy access to the attic. Great quality for the price—highly recommend if you need a reliable attic ladder!

Very nice ladder, lighter than the old one. The only thing not as good was the quality of the “board” that it was mounted on. Sort of cheap and flimsy. But overall good product.

The ladder is a good set up and the instructions are helpful and if you buy this item do yourself a favor and go buy good lag screws. The ones that come with it break easily.

I like the aluminum stairs better than the wooden ones

When I bought this item, I was torn between the aluminum or wooden frame. I'm glad I chose the aluminum. It was definitely lighter and made installation easier. I had installed several attic ladders before, all wooden. It seemed like the aluminum frame was easier to shift around and keep squared for mounting. I would not hesitate to buy another one.

Definitely not for beginners and not a one person job. Over all an excellent product. The instructions are clearly for a brand new install before the ceiling is installed on a new build. Replacing an old one with the new one this one in particular, should be done by skilled and experienced craftsmen only.
