The OnePlus 126 cm TV offers good picture quality with clear visuals and smooth performance. Sound is decent, the design looks premium, and overall it is a reliable TV for everyday viewing.

Good & Quality Product , Worth for the money

I have been a oneplus mobile user for past several years, with that belief I purchased this TV from Oneplus. Within 2 weeks of purchase of Y1 S Pro 43-inch TV, we started seeing glitches on the display where a green screen flickers and disappears. When raised a complaint with Amazon, they raised their hands saying after 10 days it’s not their responsibility, deal with Oneplus directly. I initiated a complaint with Oneplus, and a technician from their service partner Jeeves turned up a day after. He insisted that the company will not accept the complaint without any video evidences performed a factory reset and closed the ticket. I started recording the shows and movies that I watch (the wonderful viewing experience that company offers), and managed to capture the glitches and shared the videos. But the Jeeves rejected it by saying that I should capture the Oneplus logo and TV serial number along with the problem. I managed to capture it again as per their specifications and raised another complaint. A new technician turned up, opened up the back panel took pictures and confirmed that the TV has manufacturing defect and company will replace the TV. Even after following up multiple times Oneplus as a company is not convinced that the TV has a manufacturing defect, they want to try out the software update resolve the display panel issue. The call centre support is a pathetic medium of communication for the end user. One day I maned to get a guy with some basic technical knowledge who performed a online remote diagnostics and captured the logs from TV, and he conveyed to me that I will receive an email with a link where I can upload the video evidences for further analysis, it has been a week I am still waiting for that bloody email to arrive into my inbox. As per the policy, company shall provide a replacement for any manufacturing defect reported within a month of purchase/install. Overall I have waited for almost 1 month, still there is no solution to this issue. Another defect with this TV is, after 10 minutes of idle time TV sleeps and turns off automatically. After this you can not turn on the TV with remote. Workaround: Power off and power on again and then use the remote to wake-up the TV • I would not recommend Oneplus TV for its poor performances • Very poor customer service, you can expect 20 minutes of waiting time to get connected and eventually the issue will not get resolved.

Best picture quality

Picture quality: 4K Picture quality in Ott apps like Netflix and Prime Video is excellent. HDR10+ performance is good in 4KHDR titles from Ott. I’m using Tata Play. Picture quality is good in HD channels but quality in SD channels are bad as it is pixellated. Viewing angles are good for a VA panel and no much color fading or washedout when viewed from extreme angles. Picture quality is smooth and perfect to view without adding too much sharpness/color/contrast to the picture. Good thing about picture quality is it stays to the original color and doesn’t add more redness, pink color or tint to showcase its picture like few other chinese TV brands. There are various picture modes like Standard, AI picture, Vivid, Movie, Sports, Game, Eye Comfort. Various picture tuning options are available in settings including, Adaptive contrast, Global Dimming, Smooth gradation, Digital noise reduction, Ultra smooth motion(MEMC). Blacks are almost black in this model. Connected Xbox Series S to the TV and the gaming is smooth. Sound Quality: It has 24w speakers which supports Dolby Audio. Inbuilt TV speaker is really loud and you can hear very clear dialogues as it has dialogue enhancer option which can be adjusted to High, Medium and Low. TV speaker is ok for daily use but it has very less bass and there is less detailed sound for movies and music/songs. If you want theatrical sound effects then a good soundbar or home theatre is must. I have connected my Dolby Atmos soundbar to TV to HDMI1(eArc port) but I’m only getting Dolby 5.1 and not getting Dolby Atmos sound. I have checked with Netflix Customer care about why am I not getting Dolby Atmos in titles and they have mentioned me that the device type that i’m using is being detected for them as mobile device but not TV. They also mentioned me that some device manufacturers bypass the Netflix certification process and install the Android mobile app onto smart TVs. Hence these devices are considered uncertified by Netflix. Same goes with all other OTT apps as i’m not getting Dolby Atmos in any of the Ott apps. If you need Dolby Atmos then additional 4k firestick would help and it outputs Dolby Atmos sound. Dolby 5.1 Surround sound through soundbar is still good but i’m missing Dolby Atmos sound. But I’m getting Dolby Atmos through Netflix app on Xbox Series S. You can connect the soundbar/home theatre to TV only through HDMI or Bluetooth. Aux and Digital Optical ports are available but it doesn’t work and no option to connect. Bezels are very thin and small. TV remote is responsive. You have to clear cache files from settings if you face any lag in OS while navigating. Latest update as per Oct 2023: TV has developed dirty screen effect but not affecting the colors or viewing. It’s only visible in very light colors and sometimes visible on Ultra smooth motion and 60 FPS video of Travel vlogs in youtube.
